ADMIRAL HOTEL

Horrible hotel in a bad area where drunk people stumble around in front of it already in the early afternoon, and it seems to be located in a red light district. Staff is nice, but besides this in the hotel NOTHING looks like in the photos, the room smelled bad of mould, and walls and doors were dirty. So even we left right away and went elsewhere - as even thinking of sleeping there gave us the chills. Regret not having read about it before booking. Don’t go there - it’s nothing modern, nothing cozy, nothing clean - and on top of it all it’s expensive for what you get.

Whilst the hotel is advertised as 3*, I do not consider it to be worthy of 3*. We spent one evening here after a late arrival in Geneva and whilst the price was ok I wish I had paid extra to stay elsewhere. The room was dated, smelly, needed a total redecoration. The beds were uncomfortable and the shower room so old we couldn’t bring ourselves to use the facilities. Fortunately we were only booked here one night. The noise from the streets kept us awake til 3:30-4am. The staff were friendly enough but nothing special in the slightest. Absolutely no extras in the room - no water, no showering products. I would not stay here again and could not recommend to anyone, particularly families.

The family at AtlasAdventured recommends staying here!|We stayed here in July 2023 and booked 3 rooms since we were traveling with family members. We chose this particular hotel because we wanted something within walking distance to the train station, and close to the lake, all for a reasonable price. This place checked all of those boxes! It was about a 5 minute walk from the train station, and another 5 minute walk to the water. Awesome location. Checking in, the staff was extremely helpful, gave us great recommendations, and very friendly and welcoming. Luggage storage is available. The rooms were basic, but clean. No air conditioner, but fans were provided. It was extremely hot outside, so even with our fans we were all still a little uncomfortable. My only complaint about this hotel is what goes on at night. We had no idea this area is basically the “red light district” of Geneva. We had to sleep with all of the windows open, and people were partying hard, until 5 am (which is when we checked out) There were also a lot of scantily clad women standing on all of the corners, during all hours of the day. If I had read about this in any of the reviews, I probably would have looked elsewhere for our entire family, including children. That being said, the hotel is great, awesome value for the area, and comfortable.|

This was the hotel from hell. It was not at all like the pictures showed. Do not stay here. It was dirty, and it was in a bad part of town. It was so noisy it was unbelievable. We had to check out at 4:00 in the morning because it was so bad. And they refused to give us a refund. DO NOT stay here!

Nice hotel for the price you pay. Staff was friendly and accommodating towards us being foreigners. Rooms were nice for the value and came with a refrigerator which was nice.

Good location, affordable price, room is a bit dated but totally fine for this. The receptionist on our check-in/check-out day is super friendly and helpful.

The hotel staff were great and the hotel is situated really close to the train station and the lake. The main shopping area and the old town are only a short walk over the bridge. There were a couple of issues. First the lack of air conditioning (it was over 30degC when I was there and only had a fan) but you get that with older hotels in Switzerland. Second you can hear everything in those rooms including the couple next door having fun and people out on the street all night. It helped to close the windows but then it was far too hot in the room. I hear the owner is exploring air conditioning which would be great.

My hotel room was clean, bathroom was also very clean. I stayed at the hotel only for a couple of nights & room was being cleaned every day. I was greeted very welcoming & nothing was a trouble. The room was quiet as I hoped it would be. The bed was comfortable and the soft pillows helped me with quality sleep at the night. And also 3 gentlemen at the reception desk spoke perfect English which I found extra special as unfortunately I don't speak any French. Thank you very much for making such an effort with customers. I will recommend this hotel to anyone who looks for a budget friendly but clean hotel with excellent customer service & great location. Thank you once again. Monika
