You guys. This place is adorable. Awesome for the money spent! They have a great space to explore the ocean, scramble around on rocks or the beach. TONS of brightly colored teal sea anemones, orange crabs, purple and orange sea stars. The staff are all super friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy being there, rare these days. Incredible views, super comfy beds/cute rooms and the freaking shower water pressure was so good I could have cried. Restaurant had amazing views right on the ocean, excellent brunch. Espresso drinks were on point. We waded in the ocean and then hauled over to the hot tub to warm up. Also have indoor pool and sauna. Such a good deal, truly. Some reviews in the area misled us as being better than they really were, this place is underrated it’s a gem.

We stay at the Adobe Resort a few times a year. The staff is fantastic and very accommodating. The rooms have been remodeled and quite comfortable. The hotel restaurant has refreshed their menu and the food was great! The ocean view cannot be beat. And, it's great to step outside and walk along the ocean, at high tide or low tide. We highly recommend the Adobe!

We had a fabulous time at the Adobe resort! Our room was clean and well maintained, the staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly, and you cannot beat the view and ocean access! The location would be great for couples or families with older kids. It doesn't necessarily have your traditional sandy beach, but the rocks make for a stunning vista. The resort also has one of the few restaurants in the area that is open every day and for every meal, and the food was pretty good. We will definitely be returning and encourage our friends to visit as well. Thank you!

We stay at the Adobe Resort in Yachats a few times a year. The staff was fantastic! They were accommodating and helpful. The room they found for us was exceptional, with a gorgeous ocean view. The restaurant too, has changed... for the better. The menu had a nice coastal variety, and the food delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We highly recommend staying at the Adobe!

Been driving all day, was pretty tired and stressed. We got to this hotel at night and the check-in lady, I think her name was Kathi, was super nice and welcoming. We got an awesome room with an ocean view and fireplace. View wise, it was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I’m in hotels all the time for work. I could see and hear the ocean waves from my room. The rest of the room, aside from the bathroom, seemed dated but I didn’t mind. It was not having WiFi (it was down the 3 nights we were there), the stomping above us, and the kids running in the halls that made sleeping difficult. But being that close to the ocean was amazing. For the price I would have liked breakfast but other than the restaurant it’s a 15~min drive to a store. It’s remote and fairly quiet area in general. The owner gave me a postcard too when I checked out. I would love to come back again.

Google
Decided to stay here based on the location on the ocean after searching on priceline. Booked a king size ocean view room and was very pleased with the style of room and ocean view. However, the room had no ac and I wasn't aware of this until after booking the room. However, having the bed next to the sliding glass door facing the pacific was just as good and helped get some of the best sleep I've ever had! Other than that everything was awesome about this place. Restaurant/lounge was great and the views of the ocean are more than spectacular!

Google
Room was outdated but the beds were firm and comfortable. When we first walked into our room I saw a newer looking smart tv on the wall. I instantly started to try to log into Netflix for my 5 year old son. It turns out that the hotel is equipped with WiFi but it’s so slow that the smart tv doesn’t work at all. I also had my phone hooked to the “WiFi” and it kept not loading anything so I just disconnected it and used the cell signal. The view of the ocean is amazing from the room. The pool area was awesome, my son loved it there. The restaurant was definitely medium at best and the prices are as expected but the flood was just ok.

Google
Words cannot describe this experience. The room was amazing - as well as the jetted pool by the window. The prices were very reasonable! We were questioning things with the price - but it is a luxury resort! The ocean view and path made the entire experience even better. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant was 5 star. If you are in the area and need a place to stay and relax, this is the place.

Yelp
I had an amazing time at The Adobe Resort in Yachats Oregon! When my boyfriend and I first arrived we were greeting by two lovely women, one being named Kathe. Let me just say that Kathe is AMAZING. There were some issues with our booking (we booked through a third party site) and she was more than willing to fix our problem, and make sure the room we got was worth our money. Kathe made us feel right at home, she walked us through what the hotel had to offer and different things we could do around the area. The food at the resort is AMAZING, best shrimp and salad i've had in a very long time. Kathe made sure my boyfriend and I were comfortable and content the entire time we were there, anytime I had a question I would call the front desk and Kathe would be sure to answer it with flying colors. Overall the best hotel experience and room i've ever had. Would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone in the area who would want a beautiful beach front hotel with decent sized rooms.

Yelp
I wish I took pictures but.. anyways. First off, reading the reviews on the hotel and the restaurant before showing up certainly made me go into the hotel with a " let down" attitude. I had a negative outlook on it because it looked older.. but the more I let it grow on me.. the place ( from this experience) was not bad. The front desk staff were nice. ( hi Vera lol), the bar staff and restaurant staff ( hey wade), were nice. The room is decently modern while still being in an older building. You can hear everything from your room as well as upstairs. Room was clean for the most part. One blanket ( spare in closet) was dirty, however everything else was good. This place reminds me of a 1970-80s timeshare. A humble relic of a place that was the highlights of memories for family's up and down the Oregon coast. I primarily stay Hilton, Marriott, etc... however if I were traveling through, I would stay here again. Give it a shot. It has undergone a decent amount of remolding.

Yelp
We met some friends who were visiting from Tennessee (we live further South on the coast and they flew into Eugene). This was our 4th time staying at the resort - our last visit was a little over a year ago before their remodel was completed. We appreciate being able to bring my husband's ESA dog with us, as there are pet friendly rooms - ours was a walk out directly to the ocean side of the resort with hard surface floors. The lobby was completely different than our last visit - beautifully remodeled with a lovely seating area and toasty warm fireplace. Viera was at the front desk at check-in and throughout our stay. She was friendly, funny and helpful whenever we were in contact with her. Every employee we came into contact with over our 3 day stay was friendly, kind and helpful. We ate at the resort twice - once for breakfast, and once for dinner. It was WONDERFUL! I had the corned beef hash for breakfast and fish and chips for dinner. We also had various drinks and appetizers, and everything was delicious! My husband said that it wasn't "just 'good for a hotel restaurant' it was wonderful on its own!" I highly recommend The Adobe for an Oregon Coast "homebase" if you are traveling along the coast. We went up to Depot Bay and Newport and were happy to come back to stay at the Adobe at night after our touristing.

Yelp
I reached out to Adobe Resort via email with a few questions about their amenities and rates, inclusive of all taxes, fees, etc. A week passed with no reply so I resent the message. That was a week ago and still no reply. This tells me that either their staff is grossly incompetent or they have such exorbitant add-on fees they are afraid to disclose them in advance. Either way, this is huge red flag and reason to avoid the place at all costs.

Yelp
came here as a family of four with two small kids and had the best time. hotel was clean, quiet, and cozy. the views were incredible from our room with a ocean view. we had dinner and breakfast at the resort and food was incredible! the ONLYY note that I have to say was I felt sorry for the two servers at breakfast. they were definitely understaffed and the workload was more than they could handle. please hire more servers to help them! other than that the service in the restaurant and lobby was immaculate. we definitely will be returning to this gem!

Yelp
This was always the place to be when I was younger. Amazing views of Smelt Sands and a fantastic walking trail. The place is a bit dated as it's been an institution for as long as I can recall, but it's clean, and the staff at the front are beyond friendly. So accommodating and genuinely happy to see you. Rooms are reasonable and I was surprised to get a King for under 140 all in over Thanksgiving. The bar and restaurant could use some help, like person help, as it's a bit short staffed at times, but no big deal, don't be in a hurry on vacation. But their breakfast buffet is amazing, and the chef is so wonderful coming out to welcome and check on folks too. The eggs Benedict was tooo notch, and all the other things, crispy bacon, hash browns, etc. exceptional, worth the price of $25. Not like some hotels that you feel ripped off and wish you just went to McDonalds. I would return again 100%, thank you Jeff and the front--you are wonderful!

Yelp
This was a spur of the moment decision to make it to Yachats from our Washington home...first time at Adobe. Friendly front desk lady, nice gift shop area in the lobby. Older place, beautiful grounds, and the view out our sliding glass door was amazing. My husband loved the trail! The room was clean, although the furniture was dated and not comfortable. Plenty of plug in for phones, etc which is always nice. Bathroom was updated, with a nice mirror, lighting. The highlight is definitely the outside with crashing ocean 24/7! We did not utilize the dining room or bar, but it seemed nice with a limited menu. No lobby coffee and everything was for purchase, water, drinks, snacks. The hallways needed a good vacuuming, debris, and it didn't appear to have been done in a while.

Yelp
I love it here! Yachats is the place I go to stay Without my children. I've been to the Adobe many times with different folks and they haven't disappointed me once. My favorite is by far getting a ground floor ocean view with the in-room jacuzzi tub. There is nothing quite like a giant jet bath while staring at a storm frothing up on those rocks. Beautiful any time of year, but storms are my favorite. The price is mid range, and it's got the best view in all of Yachats. We recently spent New Years there and it was so very chill, exactly what we wanted. The lounge was fun and full of laid back folks dancing and rocking out a little. The food at dinner was great, the service was enthusiastic even with the stress of a full house, and despite this place having been around forever, it's maintained well and very clean. I will not pay extra elsewhere for less of a view just because it's brand new. I love the lady at the front desk, she is my favorite. Very patient with the super rude woman checking in ahead of us, and funny as hell. They made us feel like they were happy to be our stopping point for the new year and remained interested in whether we had what we needed throughout. If you're going to complain if you see something well-worn, go somewhere with less of a legacy. I'm impressed they've kept it going long enough my 85 year old client has lifelong happy memories of her stays there with her husband, then children, then grandchildren. I'm only on year 8 with no intention of stopping. Before and after the pandemic, they have consistently shown me a good time, and I will be repeat business whenever I need to escape a little.

Yelp
This is a great hotel in Yachats, but it could use some updating. Seems a little outdated for the price we pay. Right on the ocean, and rooms are relatively nice. Beautiful area to watch the sunset. They have a nice dining restaurant, also a breakfast area with some quick grabs. I like their little gift shop; And the hotel staff are always nice and helpful. Very few selection of hotels in Yachats and we always seem to choose this one.

Martin K.

Yelp
My wife, and I, have stayed at the Adobe many times, both before, and after, the pandemic. It has always been a bit of an iffy proposition, but the convenient location and beautiful views make one overlook some of the problems there. Our recent stay was a completely unsatisfactory experience, and we will never, never, be staying there again. 1) The Experience It starts before we even arrived at the property. They request remote check in ahead of arrival. Seemingly, this check in is to monetize the experience as the guest is offered various, optional, additional services at additional cost. I'm fine with that. I checked us in on 10/11/24, and one of the services offered was a romance package. I would love to do something nice for my wife and, depending on exactly what that included it seemed a great thing to do to show my appreciation for her. The package is not explained, but there is a box there at check in to chat with the Adobe and garner additional information. So far, so good. I asked what the romance package entailed and a very nice, personal, response came back within the hour explaining it was roses, a couple of chocolates and a bottle of champagne. I immediately wrote back inquiring what brand of champagne was offered. By the next day, Saturday, I had not received a response to my inquiry, so I sent another message around noon. Thanking them again for the response and asking if they had received my inquiry about the brand of champagne. No answer. We checked in on Monday 10/11 and since I still had not had a response to my inquiry, there were no roses, no chocolates, no champagne, nothing. A total waste of time. At check in I asked to speak to the General Manager and he was not in. I asked what time he would be at the property the following day and was told that he would not be there that day either. OK then. That evening we decided to eat at the restaurant, we sat in the lounge, which has the better views. My wife ordered the halibut, the server told her they were out. She ordered the crab cakes, again out. Salmon, again out. Finally, she ordered the clams in with tomatoes and basil. When the clams came, they had no tomatoes and no basil. So, respectfully, we called over our server and asked what had happened. She said she did not cook the food. We get that. She went back to the kitchen and told us that the basil and tomatoes were "dust". I assume she meant powdered, but I have not heard of powdered tomatoes and sun dried tomatoes have a very distinctive taste. There were none in there, fresh or otherwise. At this point a senior staff member came over, very apologetic. She had recognized us from the previous meals that we had eaten at the restaurant. We calmly explained the situation and she said that the kitchen just cooks what it wants to cook. OK then, no dinnner for us. Interestingly, I had downloaded the menu from the Adobe's home page an hour earlier and the prices in the restaurant were up to 33% more expensive than on the downloaded menu. Specific examples, the wagu burger was $15 on the downloaded menu, $20 in the restaurant. The halibut $38 on the downloaded menu, $44 in the restaurant. At least they did not run out of bait and switch. I could go on and on, this is the tip of the iceberg, but there is another short chapter. 2) The property. As other's have said, the rooms are an odd mix of the DIY new and the horribly old. In our room, 311. the bathroom was nicely redone except, on the inside, the door was all blistered at the bottom, under the paint. And the bottom of the toilet seat was horribly discolored. There were two off white chairs by a table in the room and these were terribly stained. Really a mess. When we checked in, there was a pill on the carpet in the main hallway leading to our room, about 15 feet from the elevator alcove. It was still there when we checked out two and a half days later. I need to stop somewhere and it might as well be here. This is a property completely devoid of passion, care or even common sense. I am glad to be done with it. And yes, I have photos, screen grabs and downloads to document all of this.

Yelp
My husband took a week off work to go through the beach cities in Oregon. Always a great get away! I had booked this for two nights. I specifically booked a king on the second floor ocean view and balcony. The pictures that you see aren't what you get! The gal at the front desk was nice. However, they told us that the room booked wasn't available? We booked it about a month. Odd. When we pulled in to the "resort" it looked like a hot mess! Just the parking lot was a disaster for anyone walking. It looks like it was 1980 with garage sale random old furniture. They had tons of workers doing construction on the entire place. Furniture in boxes tons of them. Old bed mattresses that no one would ever touch. It was difficult even knowing where to go to get to the office. Hand made signs?! Some said closed restaurant and lounge. When we found the temporary office the gal seemed as if the place was normal?! She told us that they didn't have our room available??? Not acceptable! We told her that we wanted to go look at the room. Thank goodness we did! The room smelled like wet dogs, urine and just old! Furniture was more than rough. She told us there would be a ocean view. Lol,um sliding glass door is mold and water issues. You couldn't even see the ocean! We went back and said we cannot stay here. She looked like we were crazy. I told her this is not what we purchased. And we had two nights so we had to find another hotel at 4 pm! We stayed at the office because we weren't going to lose over $400 because of their bait and switch! Just walking around the place to see our supposed room wasn't safe at all with all the construction. They had ladders, saws, nails sticking out from old furniture, tools etc., It was very dirty. I would worry about children that could be a huge lawsuit. I was able to get the front desk gal to refund our stay. We did get it refunded. For those wondering the reviews we found on here, they have been doing construction and remodeling for about two years!!! Adding pics from what we saw. Obviously don't go there! RESORT HECK NO!

Teresa B.

Yelp
For all you haters out there, the remodel is complete and everything is very nice. New paint, new furnishings even new windows! The bathroom was all new and I really appreciated the huge quartz countertop to set out all my things. The VIEW remains spectacular. We pretty much spent our visit sitting by the window watching the waves crash on the rocks. Never gets old. We were too late for an ADA room but this one was plenty big enough to maneuver and the tub was low and had bars so it worked for me. The lobby is welcoming and the desk staff could not have been nicer. We stopped without a reservation and they worked to get us just the right room. And when we asked to stay a third night they worked that out and even found us in the restaurant to confirm the details and bring us new keys. The new menu is great by the way. Highly recommend the roasted beet salad. We will be back.

Kerry S.

Yelp
Don't be fooled by all the bad reviews. Some folks are never pleased. We got a Jacuzzi suite with ocean view. It was stunning. Tub huge and the room was impeccable clean. Staff went above and beyond, we felt confident if anything came up (nothing did), that it would be handled promptly with care. The lounge are a is quite nice, the food is delicious. My one wish was that they had some lighter/healthier fare but you can eat at other local places if you want lighter or vegetarian options. That being said, the steak was delicious as was the beet salad. There is currently no construction going on, so pay no attention to other reviews going on about that. No complaints had a wonderful time.

Tricia W.

Yelp
If you like old and great price ocean view this is the place for you. Beautiful old property, but we were promised a private deck and when we got there, we discovered it was by your noisy deck by their lounge where everyone goes outs and smokes. The new room was crowed and had some nice features, but the fireplace was wonky and you could see all the way back into the studs, etc. Your photography was too good on website unfortunately the experience didn't match the photography.

Yelp
Just leaving the Adobe Resort in Yachats after the most delightful stay. We arrived along with beautiful weather on Sunday and were only planning to spend 1 night. But everyone we encountered at the hotel was so welcoming and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic view of the ocean and the waves breaking on the rocks that we decided to stay another night. Candy at the front desk is wonderful, professional and attentive! She put us in the perfect room. Kathy was friendly and helpful and working diligently putting up Christmas lights and making the lobby look even more inviting than it already did. Erica, who served the complementary continental breakfast is an absolute delight! When it occasionally got busy she handled everyone with grace and efficiency. We arrived at their cozy restaurant in time for happy hour and stayed for an absolutely delicious dinner, accompanied by a breathtaking sunset that we were able to enjoy for well over 30 minutes as their oceanfront window seating is spectacular. Kathryn was our server and we were impressed with how many tables she was able to take care of as efficiently as she did. We tried several things on the menu and found the food to be delicious. After dinner we returned to our room and kept the window open a few inches so we could hear the pounding surf as we drifted off to sleep in the very comfortable bed. As we checked out we had the pleasure of seeing Candy once again and she introduced us to another lovely coworker, Michelle, who was just as friendly as the rest of the staff. It is clear that these fantastic people have all worked there for many years, and take great pride in their work and in the resort in general. Which makes us sad to leave today, but really look forward to the next time we can sneak away for a day or 2 to get some fresh beach air and clear our heads :)

Yelp
It doesn't look like 1 million bucks,& while breakfast is included it ain't that great- nevertheless it has $1 million view & you can't beat the location! Other benefits of this place included pet friendly, they mean dogs only, and the rooms come with a microwave and refrigerator which are important assets in my travel plans. The staff were kind enough to give us an upgrade to a room in the more renovated wing, I suggest you request the northside near the pool. The updates make it cozy and comfortable. We really enjoyed having the table right at the window the view is worth the extra money. Spend it.
google avatar

Dan R.

Yelp
Went here because of ocean-view rooms, and the ocean did not disappoint (though wish the sky had been less cloudy around sunsets.) The motel, particularly for the price, was disappointing. The beds were very comfortable and the room large. Needed a couple more lights, particularly something around the couch for reading. Couldn't get past warm in the shower, and I don't think 8pm is prime hot water time. And how about fixing the toilet paper holder so the TP can be on it and not on the back of the toilet. The free "breakfast snacks" were the meagerest I've seen anywhere, and only offered Mon & Tues cause their restaurant isn't serving breakfast those days. They're part of some corporate chain and the chain business, profit before personality, is very apparent.

Yelp
DANGER. Backwards peep holes. Faulty locks. Manager unavailable for comment. SUPER SKETCHY. BEWARE.
google avatar

Craig S.

Yelp
Normally do not like to be negative but for a non ocean view room it was really really expensive Also wanted to charge extra for a late check out. At this price it is crazy to charge more for a few more hours Will not be coming here again
google avatar

Rob M.

Yelp
I really dont like to leave negative reviews. This place had everything we wanted for a nice night on the coast. Whirlpool bathtub in the main room. Fireplace. A lanai that walked right onto the beach. King size bed. Decent enough coffee for the morning. And while all of this was worth the price of the room, what pushed it into a negative experience was when, after having a romantic bath with my wife, we noticed a small dark object on the curtain rail of the lanai entrance. It was a battery operated portable security camera, blinking red, perched right there staring at us. Upon further notice, as well as a police report and further inspection, we were told by the sheriff that it was a "fake camera used as a deterrent to put on buildings". Regardless of whether it was fake or not, the unsettling idea of us being filmed or even possibly watched was already planted in my wife's mind. The hotel offered us $100 refund on our room. While it should have been a full refund, I didnt bother pushing the subject matter, even though they seemed to have had a sold out night that night in question. That and the pubic hair found on the bathtub was a bit more than we desired considering we had to wait until 4pm to check in. Probably wont be returning, as their lackadaisical attitude towards the incident left us feeling somewhat ignored. If you do happen to stay there, make sure the room is CLEAN.

Matthew M.

Yelp
Really mean staff and general manager, which is even worse than all the other obvious problems with the property.

PF F.

Yelp
I've been a patron of The Adobe for over 60 years. I came back one more time to see if the last few times was just a fluke. Perhaps the renovations would be the change to the quality of the rooms and dining services. Unfortunately we were disappointed once again. 1. Screen door to our room with a patio has been ripped off and casted aside, along with the patio chairs. When I notified the front desk, they asked me if I wanted it repaired. Really? They removed the screen door from another unit and installed it on the tracks of the sliding patio door. We were told that it was just a temporary fix and the door won't lock. 2. Towels in room were thread bare. 3. No kleenex in room. Guess it saves on cost. 4. Although we made a reservation weeks in advance, we were told the day we checked in that tables are on a first come first serve basis. 5. Crime tape in the bar where something had fallen off the bar and broke the floor. 6. Bartender appeared upset when we ordered their signature Manhattan. For all the years I've been coming to The Adobe, was never treated so poorly. 7. With such a beautiful view in the Dining Room why not make sure the windows are washed? 8. Can't have breakfast in the Dining Room anymore. Must eat in the bar. Nothing like having the crash of billiard balls during morning coffee. The flies dive bombing our breakfast wasn't pleasant. 9. Requested a receipt for breakfast. Waited 20 minutes before reminding our server, they couldn't produce the receipt. It would appear no one knew how to change the paper roll. First visited as a child with my family in the late 50s. Very fond memories. Honeymooned there in the 70s. Brought my children many times to experience what I had experienced when I was their age. Brought my adult children with me on this visit. Our last visit. Thank you for the memories. I'll forget about the last 3 or 4 visits. I hope you'll do better for generations to come.

Louise B.

Yelp
This hotel should not have "resort" as part of the title. This is a 1 star motel at best. It's dirty, dingy, and gross. The remodel looks to have been completed by shoddy contractors or DIYers. The bathroom sinks are beautiful, the view is wonderful, the rest is nothing short of terrible. There was hair on our bedding, in the shower, and on the floor. There are not screens in the windows and there is no a/c! Do not stay here. I will never return.

Felicia K.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed for my birthday/date night away. We knew Renovation was happening so we where expecting some dust and such. But when we got to our rm a ocean front hot tub king on the third floor it was beautiful. Also surprising clean. They do a little snack breakfast which is new with the new owners #thank you. Five star from me

Yelp
This place sucks!!! Booked a 3-night romantic getaway...it turned out to be the trip from hell. We arrived late due to the weather and found the "Lobby" was gone and they were using a backroom/breakroom, there was furniture outside. There was also a notice posted that the lounge was closed, it also said the restaurant was closed for breakfast. A little angry, but got my key and headed to our room...OMG, not only was it NOT the ocean view room, but it was missing most of the furniture. When I reported that this was not the room I booked, there was no apology, just "those rooms are being remodeled right now". Trying to make the best of the weekend, we tried to settle in, but there was nowhere to put our luggage and the TV didn't work....called the front desk and they sent someone up, one of the (4 or 5 wires) we not plugged in properly, fix tht and brought 2 luggage racks up and left before we realized that they were zipped tied closed and we had knife or scissors to cut the ziptie. OK, lets just go to bed. Come morning and "breakfast" a continental breakfast in a box. The bright spot of the entire trip was the nice lady "serving" breakfast boxes. DO NOT STAY HERE, THE OWNERS JUST WANT YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT CARE THAT THEY MISLEAD CUSTOMERS!!!

Sherry L.

Yelp
Great location and the food served in the lounge was really good. As the driver on our road trip, I really appreciated not having to leave the grounds to have a great meal! I've seen some negative reviews, but the rooms are huge and have great amenities. Our room was clean and we really enjoyed the patio on our ground level room. It was loud when people were going down the hall - room doors need to be better fitting.

william v.

Yelp
Apparently this place is under renovation somewhere but the room we stayed in was not. Tiny bath. Mirror way too low. Shower way too low. Spartan furnishings. Sliding door did not lock. Musty smell. Fancy faucets (why.). You're paying for the view not a nice room. Two stars for the view. 1 for the room.

CA B.

Yelp
We booked our room through an app that helps find lodging for those traveling with a dog. Reviews looked decent so we went with it. The place is under construction so parts of it is a mess. People with pets are put in a separate building, off to the side of the main building. Our room appeared to have been recently painted as there were paint drips on the floor and tape on one of the beams. Furnishings were old and uncomfortable. The ocean view was a partial view. The worst part was that it stormed during the night which normally I like; however, the gutters were broken and consequently the sound was loud and unpleasant as the water gushed into the railing on the deck. The staff were nice and helpful and allowed us to move the next day to a slightly better room. I would only recommend this place if there are no other options and once the remodeling is complete.

Yelp
We've stayed here before, but it's been close to 20 years. We're now paying $300 for the rooms we used to pay 90 for. It is clean , the bed is good, and I love the location. I'm laying on the bed now....and looking at houses. If they'd put the bed on the other wall...I could have enjoyed the beach. They have a fridge and microwave but no decent table to sit at and enjoy a coffee. We moved this dinky table and 2 chairs so we could relax and enjoy the view. The sink in the bathroom has no place to put anything. There is a better sink in the microwave room, but no mirror.

Yelp
I wish I could give 0 stars. 1.They are remodeling but didn't state it. 2. The "food" you can have at the resort never did come, despite booking during the dates they stated it would be available. 3. The hottub was broken 4. There was a power outage (which happens) But there was 0 backup generator OR emergency lights. It happened twice. Freezing cold water, 0 light and the outdoor doors remained opened (completely unsafe.) 5. Mold. 6. Extreme wear and tear in the rooms. 7. Internet was out the full visit. We were unable to move hotels due to the horrible storm. We did not receive a refund.please save your money and go somewhere with a better emergency plan. 8. There was mattresses, broken chairs and debris all over the walkways. I videoed the darkness but it won't let me add the videos. Please feel free to message me if you need them. 9. They took our $75 for food because you order through their Adobe restaurant, but the restaurant was not open. And we still haven't received a refund. 10. They did "upgrade" the room. However, the room was beat up (see couch) and they did so without asking if that would be okay in lieu of the refund.

Yelp
So I've stayed here many times now over the years. It's always been the king suite with the jacuzzi tub in the room. Obviously this place is a little out dates which is ok. I personally like the personality this hotel has. With that said though this particular visit wasn't my best. For the money you pay. Everything should be top notch. The soap they provide now is horrible. It made my skin feel itchy and super dry. They didn't clean our room the following day. I also think the room we were in is way too big. It would be nice if they could do a full remodel and maybe make the room a little smaller and cozier but still have the comforts of a large bed, couch, and fireplace and tv. And the worst part was the lounge and restaurant was closed. I suppose what really makes this hotel what it is though is the view and location. It's right on the 804 trail and you're steps away from a beautiful walk along the coast with spouting horns and tide pools. Rain or shine the coast is always great. I'm sure I'll be back but at this price point it may just be better to get a Vrbo

Yelp
In any other more populated area this would be classified as a boutique hotel and be appreciated for the gift it really is. This place is CHARMING. It's an older establishment but it's one of those that was built on an elevated stature of service and still holds itself to a statute of service that higher priced hotels in more populated areas actually should strive for. This place is warm. The drinks are fantastic. The food is great and, I'll be quite honest, you can't find a better place on this planet to watch a sunset. This is a hidden gem and deserves your money, not just because they'll treat you in the way hotels of old would treat you, like a respected guest, but they'd spend the money building this place to the even higher stature that a place like this deserves.

Yelp
Booked this place for view and amenities like fireplace and needed wifi for work. Upon arrival we found fireplace was literally a fake light that emits no heat whatsoever. When we called desk they confirmed it was for fake flame only. Wifi- what wifi? I had several reports due that I had to complete via cell signal since their wifi would not stay connected, again office staff explained " Yes, our wifi is terrible. We had an old reclining chair in our room that I was amazed to see was actually there, it was worn completely down and something you would see at a garage sale. Our desk light had a mind of its own and would flicker on and off only when it wanted. The bed was old and sunken in with NO blanket only a then top cover ( can't even call it a comforter) with a sheet. Staff mentioned the grab and go breakfast was available but in a stern way said once you get it The plus was the view of the ocean which is the only reason for 2 stars.

Yelp
I think 3 stars is deserved. This is a quaint Oceanside motel. The place is in dire need of an update which they are currently working on. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. We had one issue with our door locking and they fixed it while we were out to dinner. They had a decent fitness area however, no cleaning wipes for the equipment. It's a stop over.

Yelp
The Adobe Resort is dated but it was fine for a one night stay while traveling along the coast. The room itself was clean and spacious. If you want breakfast, it's grab an go. You can choose from different cereals, yogurt, a bagel and more. If you want dinner, they have a restaurant and reservations are recommended.

Yelp
The Adobe Resort has been our go to mini vacation resort for over 15 years. While about an hour drive for us, it's close enough to take a mini vacation a few times a year. They have plenty of rooms, an indoor heated pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, gym room, a laundry room that takes quarters, a restaurant with a bar that has an awesome overlook of the ocean and a pet area to potty your pet. The for a small room with two Queen sized beds, a mini fridge, microwave, a tv, 2 chairs and a bathtub ran me about $350 for one night and that wasn't a room with a view of the ocean. It was a room that overlooked the parking lot in the corner also looking at the corner of the building on the second floor. All though the website www.booking.com says it has room service, it doesn't. You can call ahead, order your food, go get it and either add it to your room fee or pay upfront. They add in a gratitude to your check, so you've got no choice on how much to tip, even though you're not interacting with any staff, other than calling to order, picking it up and paying. I stayed on a Wednesday and checked out on a Thursday. Therefore I don't know how much a weekend visit would cost. They have a small gift shop. There were small holes all over one of the walls in my room. The last time I was there over a year ago, there were signs that said, pardon our dust as we remodel. The signs were still there when I stayed yesterday. All in all, for it being a weekday that I stayed, no room service and no ocean view, I thought I was overcharged. I gave it 1 star due to being overcharged, no ocean view for the price of about $350.00 for one night, check in time is 4:00 p.m. and check out time is 11:00 the following day, 0 room service even though the www.booking.com website says there is, their claim of spacious and luxurious rooms, which mine wasn't, even though it had two beds, the filth around the window, no screen on the window, holes on the walls and warm water instead of hot. Honestly, could've stayed at a Motel 6 with better, clean rooms, more than a 17 hour room for 1 day as check ins at 4:00 p.m. and check out is at 11:00. The carpet was filthy, the ends of the beds had their frames sticking out past the mattresses and I left with bruised shins. I don't recommend The Adobe at all. We'll never visit that place again.

Yelp
Bar has panoramic view of ocean waves crashing on rocks; the happy hour menu includes terrific fish (cod) & chips.

Yelp
Oceanfront room with no ocean view! All window seals bad resulting in badly fogged windows. Been that way a LONG time as mold was growing between the panes! Only way you could see ocean clearly was to open windows, which was not realistic due to wind and cool weather.

Yelp
We took one look at the room and the hallway, the smell was horrible. The man at the front desk took our keys and I told him we were leaving. I seen a review about a remodel. Not the wing of hotel we got. No ocean view which I reserved and paid for. I guess they consider leaning out your balcony and looking to the left to see where other people go to check out the ocean and ocean view. The room was disgusting and smelled not to mention it looked like someone else was sitting on the bed. There were bugs crawling across the floor. The ice machine was in pieces and it looked like they chose to never vacuum the hallway hoping the dirt, hair and debris would hide the stains. We walked in and left knowing that it was not refundable. I was willing to leave and not stay there anyway. We reserved this room on travelocity. The reviews were good. The description of the resort sounded amazing. False advertisement and a bait and switch. Don't go.

Yelp
Recently visited (29-30 June) and giving the site one star is generous. My wife made the reservations and told me I should not expect much, but there are certain things I expect at a hotel or "resort"; 1. Being able to see out the seaside window with the view we paid extra for - nope, windows so clouded by age we couldn't see the shoreline just outside our window 2. An on-site restaurant with food - yeah they had that, but the food quality was sub par, awful tasting, and I expect the source of my wife's food poisoning that developed on day two of our visit 3. Clean bedding - nope, the comforter was covered in mud and stains. We asked for a replacement which they provided quickly but left it to us to remake the bed and no apology 4. A comfortable room - nope. I don't need some guilted throne room, but it appears to be too much to expect a headboard on the bed, some pleasant decor, a consistent color theme for the walls and ceiling, and comfortable chairs or a sofa 5. Working appliances- nope. We used the refrigerator provided in the room to chill some drinks. All were frozen solid overnight The Oregon Coast is beautiful, but there are a to many substandard logging options, and the Adobe Resort falls in that category.

Yelp
First...the Adobe is not cheap. When pricing the place, they take the word "resort" very seriously. Once you arrive...not so much. Yachats used to be my home away from home. I have watched it go through many changes. This latest version of Yachats ...especially the resort...is not so good. First...the year is 2021. Gone are the days you can claim the internet hasn't reached you yet. I had zero internet in my room and had to climb the stairs in the bar to find coverage for a mandated meeting from my work. Then...I mentioned that I had that meeting at 1130....late check out ???? No can do. 1130 is the LATEST. But they were not full. Such a simple request....so easy to assist but no. I STAYED at the Adobe as it has an on-site restaurant for breakfast. Upon arrival I was informed that no....not so much. Instead they have boiled eggs from Wilcox farms in ARIZONA, cold cereal....yogurt. Motel six style. Oregon has been open for some time now...at least change your in room ads! The bed was horrible. And instead of a platform they put it on sticks that jut out and bruise your shin. The fancy headboard with phone chargers built in is not plugged in. The check in person could not get a pillow for us (only 3 are provided for two people)...she had to wait on night auditor who doesn't come on shift till 11 pm. Sigh. The entrance to the pool has plastic taped over the cabinets. I won't even go into the check in person rubbing my credit card and ID until I thought the numbers would come off. Sigh. I'm allergic to many cleansers and wipes and this was done without my permission. Generally I just hold the ID up and then tap my card. No contact..no issue.

Yelp
Overall very happy with our overnight stop. Pool was awesome and our room was large and clean. This place speaks of a staff that is trying really hard to provide 5 star service but is working with a 3 star budget. Every detail in my room was perfect for what they had to work with. The towels were in the shape of a swan, the bed was made to military standards and the bathroom sink/cabinet appears recently remodeled. I would absolutely stay here again, my only complaint would be in vain and even so it's obvious they're updating as they can and I would anticipate my next stay to be even better.

Yelp
Pet friendly "Ocean view" room for $290 a night. Could barely see the ocean, sinks/bathroom are old and need updating. NO HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE INCLUDED!!!! Being at the beach our floors were Sandy and in need of sweeping. NOT an option. When I called front desk said I could go look down the hall for someone working there and get some towels. Will NEVER stay here again and DO NOT RECOMMEND. There are many other better options out there. Only reason I gave 2 stars was because the burger and server in the restaurant was good.

Yelp
Our stay at the Adobe Resort in Yachats, to say the least, was very disappointing. The cost of the rooms were over priced, and the room was simple with no special features. Therre was no maid service or air conditioning. They did provide you with a fan; however, our fan was broken and wouldn't stay raised. The blades and the frame were dirty. The entire thing needed to be wiped down. For almost $300 a night, I figured there would, at least, be a continental breakfast provided, but no. I couldn't find the coffee station and, at this point, didn't think there was one. I did, however, find it in the bathroom! Not exactly the location I would have chosen. There is a restaurant on site, which states on their website that they are reasonably priced, $$. Our two fish and chip dinners were almost $60! The food was good, just not expecting a "reasonably priced" plate of fish and chips to be almost $30 a plate. All in all, I was very disappointed and won't be returning.

Yelp
The website pictures were a fraud. The rooms furnishings were old water stained oak and the lamps looked like they came from the dollar store. The bathroom had dog kibble on the bathroom floor. The room was not a pet allowed room and the cleaners missed the kibble in plain sight. There was no room decor, no headboard to the bed and the electric fireplace had a cord running to the outlet in plain sight. No A/C and no screen on the window to allow it to be open without letting bugs in. We were celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary at this supposed resort. We did have a great view but could have had that had we slept for free in our car. I promise you this was not an exaggeration.

Yelp
We absolutely loved this place! Just an overnight stay, but the view was phenomenal, the service was A+, and the price was fair. We really loved "Mama" in the lounge. She was sweet, very efficient and hilarious! It made for a very fun & memorable experience, and a relaxing getaway!!

Yelp
We always enjoy our stay at The Adobe. The views are breathtaking, and the walks are peaceful. While there look for Erica - she is spunky and friendly. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The Adobe is in the renovation process, and it's exciting to see the room updates. If you love the sound of crashing waves and beautiful views, the Adobe is the place to go.

Yelp
This hotel is in an incredible location and they are very fortunate it is. we stayed here in 2006 and again in 2023. Not much has changed, and I'm not exaggerating. We checked in and the two keys provided didn't work for the door. I returned to the front desk and was ignored while they helped two other guests AND never acknowledged my presence. They finally made two new keys, no apology. Low water pressure. No daily maid service. Very limited number of receptacles in room. Wifi not dependable. Beds are extremely firm and pillows flimsy and cheap. For a resort that is not inexpensive to stay at, the experience is a big disappointment.

Yelp
My 84 year old mother, small dog, and I stayed in the pet friendly, no view, 2 bedroom suite 8/10/23. It was very roomy with a huge kitchen and living room, which was nice. But there were a number of problems that just didn't measure up to a $200/night resort: 1. There was no one at the desk at 7:30 pm when we came to check in. After waiting 3-4 minutes, a gentleman came, apologized and helped us. 2. The website depiction was misleading. We didn't know our room was in a separate building and there a set of steps into the room and within the suite. This was challenging for my 84 year old mom. (It was located too far for my mom to walk to the beach from the room). The place was run down--needing paint, repair of pet damage (see pic), darkening curtain wouldn't completely close, bedroom door stuck. 3. The toilet didn't work. Twice that night it was running and i had to dismantle the top, reach into the tank and reset the plunger. Also, we had to flush it twice most times for it to effectively flush. 4. The baseboard heater in my room remained going all night, though it was turned OFF. Heat was coming from only half of the baseboard heater (weird), and made the ticking sound as it heated the room. It was obviously too warm in August, so i finally had to open the door (letting in light) to let in some cooler air from the hallway. 5. There was a coffee pot, but NO coffee (and no grab-and-go breakfast either, since it's offered only on Mondays and Tuesdays). 6. We paid $203 + tax + $15 pet fee. That is a LOT for a room in this shape. When i checked out, I let the clerk know about the toilet, heat problem and misleading website. She was matter of fact. Since I had bought it through Expedia, she said she could only remove the $15 pet fee and leave a note that they would authorize $50 refund if I phoned Expedia. (I did contact Expedia later for $50 refund--which took another 20 minutes of my time). I have stayed in the pet-friendly room in Adobe before, but in the main building. It was fine, but not great. I had hoped this larger suite would be an improvement. Sadly, it wasn't.
