What an absolute shame. We've stayed here several times before without any problems and provided great reviews before.|We came Addis due to a bereavement so last minute trip.|The room is in a real state. The furniture was heavily stained, no plug in the sink, shower head has never been cleaned and sprayed everywhere over the floor, only one towel provided (although another was brought when asked), no bath mat, no hand towel, slabs shef in bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned, wall plugs hanging out, flooring lifting and huge gaps. I could keep going but will stop at the room.|As for the food, ordered room service, a Club sandwich which was like mush and in edible, my wife ordered vegetable rice which was tasteless. Breakfast this morning was no better! What, 'no butter delivery today, so dried toast!'|Was planning to stay for 5 days, but checking out this morning as this is beyond reasonable. Clearly the owners just don't care anymore...|Off to another hotel around the corner...

Stayed here for my scheduled layover. It's what a 2 star hotel should be and then some. Rooms spacious. There's cable and hot water. But that's it There's no air conditioner or fan in my room. No duvet. Showers and taps are pretty much dated. Food service at the restaurant is slow It's enough for a quick night sleep. But if you want to spend more nights in Addis, I think you should look elsewhere

The worst possible experience after a long flight and hurriedly booked in by Ethiopian airlines. The room smelled like a sewer, the bathroom was in a diabolical state, cockroaches festooned the walls and carpeted the floors. One could not help gag at the smell emanating from under the bath tab stagnant water. Upon closing the bathroom door and opening windows on the firth floor I was able to lay down for a short while only to be woken up by barking doors, shouting drunks . After drinking the bottled water provided by the hotel 30 minutes later I had terrible crumps and I had unpleasant trip back home. And I avoided any food at the hotel at any cost.

Worst experience of my lodging life, the room had stagnant water in the shower that produced a very bad smell, there were strands of hair in the toilet by the mirror, which I assumed was from the previous occupants of the room. In addition, one of the male workers made a pass at me in the elevator, suggesting he gets a drink for me because he found me “physically nice”. Overall, extremely terrible experience.

The hotel is faded and not up to date. Our room was very cheaply decorated and had ripped furniture, scratched contact paper-like floors, and I had to walk like a crab between the toilet and the sink (it was that tight). The biggest issues were safety hazards – – the hot water heater’s outlet was right next to the shower handle and in the line of the shower spray and the fire alarm system was tweeting because the battery was low. After a tour I came back a week later and they still had not fixed it even though we brought it to their attention. The hairdryer didn’t work. ||||On the upside breakfast was good and there was laundry service which was modestly priced. Dinner at the hotel was pretty good.||||The staff members were friendly enough but really did not speak English. I repeatedly asked for a roll of toilet paper— four times—and they never sent it up to the room as promised. It got to the point where I made them bring it to me in the lobby while I waited. ||||I would advise spending the extra $20/30 or so per night and going to the Best Western Plus (where I stayed before my tour) and which relatively feels like paradise. The Adot-Tina is not walking distance to anything (whereas the Best Western is across from a mall and fast food options), and if you read the four and five star reviews they are not from Western tourists so their standards may be a bit different. We were the only Westerners in the hotel.

The hotel ambiance is very bad. The room is very old (no renovations) and we were welcomed with cockroaches 🪳. The windows had no locks, someone could easily break in. The bedsheets were brown and yellow 😫 with strange looking marks on it. They kept the sugar for the coffee open 🤦‍♀️ The bathroom towels were white but had an ash color (dirty) 😏. Don’t get me started on the lights and the shower 🚿 area 😡. I didn’t even bother about having dinner and breakfast so I don’t have a runny tummy. In a nutshell, humans are not supposed to be lodged in this type of hotel. Ethiopian airlines please take this hotel (Ado-Tina and Dreamliner) from your list of transit hotels!!!!!!!
