Adra Antigua

Enjoyed every part of this hostel and restaurant. The food is delicious, restaurant quality. The iced tea. The burger. The ceviche. The wait staff are super nice. Eager to let you practice Spanish. Felt like a home. Hostel beds for me was super clean and sufficient. There’s a fan, light, and good amount of privacy inside. Felt like capsule hotels in Tokyo. Highly recommend!

We stumbled upon this place not knowing what to expect and we ran into Amanda our lifesaver! She was able to guide us and tell us what to do around the city of Antigua. She told us all about the specials for the night and even set us up for our next adventure in Atitlan. We ended up booking a stay for the night. The drinks were amazing she was friendly, genuine, attentive . Definitely recommend this place for anyone willing to stop by even if it’s for a drink !

Awesome hostel, service, and comfortable private beds with fans. Happy hours are great with wine too. Although, hostel doesn’t have kitchen or allow you to eat. Also, music can be loud/noisy would definitely recommend!

I booked 4 nights and a volcano trip with Adra Hostel for November 2024. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected visa issue, I had to cancel my trip the day before departure. I contacted the hostel immediately. Their website clearly states that cancellations made at least 72 hours before arrival are eligible for a refund, which should have included 3 nights and the volcano trip. I confirmed this with the hostel, and they assured me that the refund had been processed through their bank. However, I never received the refund, and when I followed up, they eventually stopped responding. While I can’t speak to the environment or service of the hostel itself since I never arrived, I do want to warn others. If you book in advance and something unexpected happens, you may not get your money back, even if you follow their cancellation policy. I understand that partial refunds or cancellation fees can apply depending on policy, but what I don’t appreciate is dishonesty and lack of accountability. I expected a more professional approach, and instead, I was ignored and left without my refund.

Really liked the room. The bed was super comfy and I liked the privacy that the cubicle style with curtains gave. It was also really nice to have a fan which wasn’t too noisy. The location is also great and everywhere I wanted to go was within walking distance. My only negative experience was the fact that the shower in the room was broken and didn’t have any water for all 3 nights I stayed. The sign on the shower said that it would hopefully be fixed by the afternoon but that sign stayed up the whole time I stayed.

I went to this restaurant on Tuesday, they have all you can tacos that day. They were good, and the waiter was attentive. My friend and I went back for breakfast the following day 😋 At night, they played music, different bands or folks. It was very entertaining.

Has an amazing environment with fantastic pod rooms that include individual fans along with awesome staff and great drinks for cheap. Unfortunately, despite the staff having great English skills, there was mutual miscommunication over their happy hour drinks for 15q each. After asking the price, we heard multiple types of drinks for 15q, with the manager sitting close by just after a convo with us, and we were not corrected on the prices mentioned. When we finished our drinks and got the tab, it was much higher than expected, not terrible, but an unenjoyable circumstance regardless. When my friend complained, we were denied our perspective. We were then shown the separate event/happy hour pamphlet that showed the various happy hour deals depending on the day of the week. It's still an amazing place that I would recommend. Just be sure to read the small print before adding up your tab.

Amazing rooftop! Vibe is really good. We stop for an afternoon pit stop while walking around the city. Ended up staying for the 2 hours bottomless mimosas for Q90 😏 Mykon was our waiter, he was such a gem! Our glasses never got empty, he was always there with our next drink before we saw the bottom of it! Thank you Mykon
