We did not stay at this hostel, but actually stayed at the hotel next door. The location is fantastic, near the square and Arch, close to great restaurants and shops. The employees here were so friendly and inviting that we ended up spending quite a bit of time in the lovely courtyard having drinks and socializing. The atmosphere is fantastic, well appointed, great bar and restaurant with fun activities and party vibe in the evenings. Ana was especially wonderful. She pulled us in off the street and was SO friendly and inviting! We will definitely go back when visiting Antigua again!

This is the hostel with the best rooms that I have seen. Beds super cofy, super clean with electric outlet, lamp and fan. But the most important is the privacy, the bed structure is made of wood and a curtain. So you do have a lot of privace. The breakfast at the restaurant is one of the best breakfast that I had (The Tortilla Casserole is great). The staff is incredible and the rooftop bar is such a great place to chill. Super well recommended

I loved this hostel. It’s a very chilled vibe, but has a lovely bar area and rooftop. Food was amazing too! Well exceeded my hotel expectations. Close to the centre. Could probably do with more toilet facilities (room of 24 with 1 toilet seemed a bit excessive) but otherwise I’d love to stay here again.

I booked this place because of the good reviews, but I was disappointed by how noisy it was, despite the nice atmosphere and the rooftop restaurant. If you’re looking for a quiet place to work or rest, this is not the place for you. The breakfast was good, and I really liked the avocado toast. The original version comes with eggs and bacon, but I asked for a vegan option, and they substituted it with mushrooms, which was a nice touch. The restaurant is big and has good food, but there is no kitchen for guests to use. I stayed in the Agua room, which has 18 dorm beds but only one shower, one sink, and one toilet. The shower wasn’t hot, and the sink didn’t have warm water either. They also charge 25 quetzales to rent a towel, which is much higher than other hostels. The staff was friendly, but overall, I wouldn’t stay here again because of how loud it was and the lack of basic comforts like hot water.

Preferred this to some hotels I've stayed at. The food and drinks were delicious, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Well-priced, great location too. Can't wait to come back!

4.5 stars for Adra. It is in a great location, the staff are helpful and friendly, and amenities are in good condition. Shout out to Raphael who assisted in all|my request. I was able to leave my bag at the hostel overnight whilst I did volcano hike. Adra allowed early check in after the hike, a much needed respite after gruelling activity. ||Make sure you have some of their drink specials in their beautiful courtyard. Adra can improve their offering by lowering the music in the courtyard. It was hard to enjoy my drinks because the music is too loud upstairs, Taking my drinks downstairs didn’t help. It was took loud it hurt my ear. I left to find a venue that’s more relaxing. ||Overall, Adra provided a comfortable accommodation and the staff are superb.

Each bed has its own curtain, fan, and lamp. The beds are also very comfy! I think the hostel responds well to feedback because some of these older reviews are no longer true. For example, they do offer food discounts to their clients (30% off) but you may have to remind the staff of this. I do wish they offered better coffee deals, as a coffee here is the same price as a quality cup across the street (Fat Cat Coffee). It’s located less than 5 minutes from the central square. Beautifully designed, lots of hanging plants. They do play bird sounds in the morning, as another reviewer stated, but I found this charming! Solo traveler and not many spaces to comfortably join others. My main criticism is that it is quite noisy. They play music all day and it wasn’t the relaxing stay I was hoping for in between hikes. There is karaoke every night. One of the days they hosted a party and started blowing up balloons outside my dorm at 9am. They do sell earplugs at the front desk though!

This is a partyhostel but no one told me. I arrived on Sunday around 1 o‘clock in the afternoon and there was already a DJ playing very loud music in the hostel. There was not a single quiet spot in the hole place, i had to go for a walk to do a call because nobody could hear me. After asking at the reception if they could do anything about it, which they would not, i grabbed my stuff and left. There is no chance to work / read / relax in this environment. I am already traveling for 3 months in centralamerica and this was the first time i did not want to stay in the hostel i booked. At least i got a refund.
