Fantastic. The ½ chicken is the best value food I've had in a long time, due to the quantity to quality ratio, We also had the Goats cheese salad and the nachos. All had great flavours, clearly talent in the kitchen. Thanks for a highlight to a rainy day. Still a mystery on the cafe name?!

THE place to eat for breakfast! Exceptional food and friendly service.....and the seating goes a lot further back than you'd realise! No one could fault anything about what we collectively ate and drank. We returned in the evening too for drinks, and the evening staff were equally as warm and welcoming. Cant recommend any higher. First class eatery and bar.

It was a beautiful sunny day so we decided to sit on the back patio, which was bright and spacious. The inside looked a little dreary but that might be my perception after walking in from the sun. Beers on a hot sunny day always go down well. The eggs Benedict were good, but the hollandaise sauce was a little runny and the English muffin was a little tough. The service was good, as the waitress was pretty attentive. If I'm ever back in Bath I will be coming back for a pint or two on the patio.

I went here today with my mum as it was her birthday and the rice and peas were like rice pudding not edible at all. Had to get a refund not sure why they served the rice and peas like this i was very shocked and disappointed. We travelled from bristol for this. If I don't get my money back I will be complaining to head office or take it even further.

The photo doesn’t do it justice but one of the best ceaser salads. Such a big portion and well seasoned. The ice latte was good too sweet caramel how I like it. Worth the price reasonable :)

Just in front of the Travelodge hotel. Quite tasty breakfast and coffee. We had scrambled eggs and Benedict eggs, and both were quite good. It’s a bit pricey but the atmosphere and the location deserve it.

Yelp
This is quite a good café/bar located on George Street, but despite the name, it's not particularly adventurous. It's pretty expensive for what it is and don't expect outstanding food or service to make up for that fact. You can expect to find the same range of coffees, drinks and sandwiches as at pretty much any other café in the area, but it does have a decent outdoor area at the back, which makes it a good place to head when the weather is a bit warmer. The one thing that does make the Adventure Café stand out, however, is the staff. It's not so much about the service, as the eye-candy. It's a little like walking into a branch of Abercrombie & Fitch - you're unlikely find anyone working here who's less than an 8 out of 10. It's true, I swear.

Yelp
Great place to stop off for lunch and a coffee. Contrary to other poster's experience, the service was quite quick and accurate. Portion sizes are good sizes and very filling.

Yelp
Not that fussed. What annoys me these days is that living in London when I venture out I want to be shocked at the high prices I pay for food and drink and general living. I came to bath for one day and actually found it MORE expensive! £7.50 for a panini and salad.... I wasn't impressed and found this to be a similar story throughout bath. Adventure cafe was alright. Service was a bit scatty and there seemed to be no order or want to serve. My food I ended up collecting myself as everyone had finished around me. Alright for a lunch and there seemed to be a nice beer garden.

Yelp
This spot was easy to pick for breakfast because it was 1) recommended by our Travelodge staff and 2) it was right across the street from the Travelodge. This cafe has a lovely, sprawling, outdoor patio for dining (small one in the front, large one in the back) which is surprising because the weather is always terrible here. It was just pouring the day before, but luckily, this day was bright, sunny and beautiful. I'm not used to how a lot of these British eateries work, but my fiance is British so he usually does the ordering. So we order at the bar and then wait for our food. He ordered the English Breakfast and I ordered a breakfast burrito, which was actually very tasty. It could have been much better with some fresh salsa though! Wait staff don't usually hang around outside so if you need something, you'll have to go and fetch it yourself, which I guess is petty common. Overall, on a lovely day, the Adventure Cafe serves up yummy food at affordable pries on a large and sunny patio.

Yelp
They aren't the cheapest but the food here is delicious. The location is good; at the top of Bath, big windows to watch the world go by. Service is very friendly. All the food has just that bit extra thought gone into it. You don't simply get, say, a turkey and salas sandwich. Its turkey, cranberry, advocado, cream cheese, etc. You get the point; the food is just that bit nicer than almost all other cafes in Bath.

Yelp
Great place, two doors up from the low-grade Jika Jika and, if not for the fact that it's hard to work out how you get in, it's almost a perfect coffee house. Really friendly, helpful staff. Good menu, realistically priced, and very good food. Even the basic stuff was quite special (nachos particularly.) Good to sit inside, nice tables outside. Recommended.

Yelp
Before you shun me for putting up a 'one-star' please understand it is with a heavy head and hand that I type this. I hate people who are snooty about service and post bad reviews with little experience from the other side. I've worked in the service industry for a long time and know bad service from good service, and I know that usually when there is bad service it is because staff are overworked and underpaid. This being said, I was really disappointed in Adventure Café when I came in with my Dad this weekend. I came back down to Bath for a family visit and went for a coffee with the Old Man. I chose Adventure Café because I used to come here a lot when I was younger and know they have great food (they really do) and a fun bar. So its a lazy Saturday afternoon and they're not very busy - a couple of waitresses are hanging around the bar chatting, and there's a relaxed atmosphere. The staff here are very friendly and smiley, but there seems to be no system in place for service and no sense of urgency or discipline. We sit outside and wait to be served. We wait some more. Maybe they didn't see us - we move inside and wait again. I end up ordering at the bar, twice, because the girl doesn't put the check on the first time. I order a double latte for me, a double mocha for Pops and two glasses of tap water. Twenty minutes later someone brings over some food. We send it back. Another ten minutes later we get our coffees. A single cappuccino and a single mocha, no tap water. We've waited a while and so we sip away regardless. We're done pretty quickly as the coffees are luke warm - I ask for the bill. Ten minutes later a girl brings over a bill for the food we didn't order. I go up to the counter and explain. I sit back down, bill-less and wait. Then I go back up to the counter and ask for the bill again. I decide to pay right there and then. For the first time in my life I don't tip.

Yelp
Goodish stop for Coffee. Pretty Cappucinos and pretty staff. Selection of newspapers to read. Recommended.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast two weeks ago. We werent impressed. The food was ok but the staff were dreadful. They talked to us like it was an effort and we were to be barely tolerated. And yet when it came to them discussing their christmas eve plans and various other crap they soon perked up. Even when paying at the end there were a few token thank yous whilst the card machine was processing but they were forced. There are too many cafes in bath to put up with a place like this, i wont be going again.

Yelp
Great service, really helpful staff and fantastic home made, fresh pizzas. A group of about 15 of us met here for drinks and food, and we were given star treatment by James and the team. Really relaxed atmosphere, a cafe with a bar, lovely sun trap of a garden (when its actually sunny).

Yelp
This is possibly the most controversial cafe in Bath! Reviews range from pretty good to appalling. Let me say straight away that if anyone says the services, etc., was appalling, then I believe them totally. However... When I went there, the service was hardly of MacDonald's speed, but I've had slower. The staff were friendly and, as everyone else has pointed out, very nice to look at! At least we're all agreed on something... The coffee was much the same as anywhere else, as was the price. I can't quite see why it's called Adventure, though - that makes it easy for those who think they're being funny when they make remarks about its name. It's not somewhere I would go out of my way to visit (unless I felt in need of a view of the staff!), but if I was in that part of the city I would certainly be happy to go there.

Yelp
I love this place, the best cafe and bar in Bath. The burgers and cocktails are fantastic and the prettiest staff work here. I'm currently sitting out back in the sun using their free wifi so I thought the least I could do was sing their praises. There are signs saying please order from the bar and why wouldn't you when they are so good to look at and very friendly/

Yelp
The cafe is perfect especially with outside seating. I love what they have done with the place, the only problem they have is the staff. They took forever to serve me two coffees, (the cafe was dead) all they looked interested in was flirting with eachother.
