Adventure Harbour Tours

Captain Mike met us at our boat with a friendly greeting and invitation to make ourselves comfortable. The sunset cruise through Charleston Harbor was relaxed, with some narration (enough to keep us interested, enough to keep us relaxed and enjoying our refreshments) to add another great experience and many memories.

We had a fantastic time on the Morris island boat tour and are definitely planning on going again. Captain Howie was awesome and made the trip even better with his upbeat personality and knowledge of the area. It’s a beautiful ride out looking at the Charleston homes along the coast and we even saw dolphins in the bay. The island was great and we all had a blast walking around exploring. I highly recommend this trip and this company.

We LOVED our tour with Captain Howie! Our three kids were so excited to go on the boat and hunt for teeth. Howie was absolutely awesome at communicating. Since our trip was technically at the end of his season, I'm so glad I reached out and that he was available. The weather was a major concern as the tides were pretty extreme. He was honest that the water may be too concerning to go. Luckily, we were able to go a little bit later than originally planned. Howie's experience and knowledge made sure we left at a time that was right for the ocean, and safest for everyone. We had flexibility in our schedule so the hour delay helped give us a better ride to the island and more opportunities to find treasure. Definitely bring a large sturdy bag for collecting things, btw. Howie taught the kids (and adults) how to find shark teeth. He also helped us identify other treasures like fossils. Howie answered all of our questions and knew so much about Charleston. We'll definitely be using him again for any future excursions. He was down to earth, honest and encouraging. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Adventure Harbor tours!

My family went on the adventure harbor boat ride back in April over our girls’ spring break!! It was so much fun and exactly as advertised!!! We took the boat out to Morris Island and it was like stepping out of a picture! The island itself is so quaint and pretty and as you walk around, there are so many things to find! My in laws, husband and 2 girls found 27 shark teeth total, 3 sand dollars, multiple beautiful shells and even a brick that had washed up from Fort Sumter!

We booked this cruise because we wanted to do something different. We were very pleased. Stick with Sam when you get to Morris Island, she knows so much about marine life and was a wealth of information. Anna is very sweet and also knowledgeable. Ray was a great skipper and gave us lots of informative history on the way to the island. We saw dolphins that swam right up to the boat, collected lots of shark's teeth and sand dollars, also lots of other shells. Recommend these guys highly and we'll definitely be going again!

We booked a 6 pm booze cruise for a bachelorette party this weekend and I had the best time! Another bachelorette larty was also on our boat. The boat we took is a big pontoon boat, even has a little bathroom. Our Captain was the owner of the business and I cant say enough about him! He was very knowledgeable and calm. I always felt safe during the ride. He made everyone comfortable and was funny! Sam his first mate was also very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definately book again. We had a great time.

We knew we wanted to do some kind of boat trip when we went to Charleston, but with so many options, had no idea what to choose. The Morris Island trip with Captain Howie and Sam was incredible!!! I learned a lot on the way out, with plenty of humor. I also learned a lot from Sam when we got to the island. My kids were thrilled to see dolphins and to find a ton of shark teeth. We packed snacks and drinks...something I would suggest. Definitely bring sunscreen and a bag for the shells and teeth. My kids and I are already looking forward to next year and another boat trip.

Captain Howie was the best! He graciously took us out on a Monday even though the option wasn’t available on the booking site. I emailed and he responded right away and opened the date for us. All communication prior to the trip was fast and very helpful. We had a lovely time on the harbor and saw soooo many dolphins. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to do a sunset cruise in Charleston.
