Adventure Hotel Hellissandur

It was a very comfortable stay! Room was sufficiently sized, food was decent, a very safe area and just to the right of the hotel there is a semi dark field to see the northern lights. The hotel manager Adam was also exceptional in his service, we felt very taken care of. 100% will come back if we are in the area.

Nice, clean hotel and rooms. Dinner in restaurant was very good for adults and kids. Service was great. Breakfast had a wide variety and was nicely displayed. Nice Mountain views. Fun place for kids to jump and climb across the street. Wonderful hotel and service all around!

Amazing experience! Food was top notch. Breakfast buffet had wide variety of options and fresh delicious food but it was really dinner at the onsite restaurant that was truly out of this world. Highly recommend saving your appetite for dinner as the food is gourmet at reasonable prices (for Iceland). Recommending the lamb. The service was also excellent. The concierge went above and beyond to help us out and make our stay enjoyable.

A little mixed feelings - Huge shoutouts to the staffs, always friendly, welcoming and approachable. Breakfast was absolutely spot-on, great spread and one of the best buffet breakfast we had in Iceland. Also managed to catch beautiful aurora on one of the nights. However (not sure if this in common in Iceland), apparently the hot water are centrally boiled, and on our 2nd night (~9pm) and 3rd morning (~8am) there were a shortage of hot water, and the water is literally ice cold. Had to wait almost 2 hours before the supply came back on (from 9pm to 11pm). Room wifi was also very weak, and while the staffs have informed us about this during check in, believe this can be improved as most stays are expected to have decent wifi. Overall still a pleasant stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place reasonably priced in the area.

Enjoyed a superb meal at the Hotels Mural restaurant. It's a small menu but it's all fresh and mostly locally available products. |Quiet relaxed atmosphere with warm friendly staff who were knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food. |Pretty much perfect.

A great experience all around, from the customer service to the food and rooms. This was one of the best hotels we stayed in, and at an affordable price compared to a lot of the others! Highly recommend staying here while you're in the peninsula.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spotless, the staff was incredibly welcoming, and the food was fantastic. We can't wait to return!
