Adventure Queenstown Hostel

Great location, and everything was clean enough for a comfortable stay, including the kitchen. My mattress was pretty old though—could feel the springs poking through. Got unlucky with a loud snorer, but that's just hostel life, not their fault. Tip: grab a coffee in the kitchen at sunrise. The view is really nice and worth getting up early for.

Such a beautiful place! Very clean, rooms are great with the privacy curtains and power sockets in the beds. Kitchen is very clean, plenty of space to cook and plenty of utensils and cookware. Living space is spacious and cozy, making socializing very easy. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially Timo. Would 100% stay again

Thanks for the great cosy vibes AQ! My go-to for popping back to visit QT. Comfortable ensuite room with enough space. Very handy luggage storage and use of the amazing balcony on kitchen either side of my stay. Met lovely people in the communal areas and the quiz night was very fun! Theresa, Jackie Toby & Lelaina are all legends who make you feel relaxed and welcome. Thank you team - hope to see you again soon.

We had the best stay here!! We’ve been travelling around South Island and coming here felt so homey in comparison to where’s we’ve been. Everyone staying was super sociable and everyone working were so helpful, we felt super safe (so if you’re solo travelling, here’s the place to be). Chilled vibes but a crackin Quiz night by Elze - I’ve never been so excited to win (and drink) a bottle of wine! Lelaina, Toby and Jackie were always friendly faces to ask questions or watch Love Island with. All the rooms and social spaces were immaculately clean and we didn’t need a thing our whole stay. If we’d had more time we’d be staying longer!

Great vibes + comfortable rooms + well thought bathrooms + lovely social atmosphere + very cool staff. The owners really knew what they were doing here and it shows. Probably one of the best I've ever been to :)

After 3 weeks in a campervan, AQ was the perfect place to end our trip in New Zealand. The beds were so comfy and cozy, and I really valued they privacy curtain, individual reading lamp and charging point. All the staff we encounted were so friendly and helpful. It's a small hostel and the staff work hard to clean the bathrooms and communal spaces daily, so everything always feels fresh. We loved the scavenger hunt one night too.

Every time I come to Queenstown, I stay at this hostel—and it never disappoints! The atmosphere is always welcoming, the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and it’s the perfect place to meet amazing new people from all over the world. Big shoutout to Timo for the warm welcome, the helpful tour, and just for being an all-around awesome guy. Your energy really set the tone for a great stay! I’ll definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Queenstown!

At check-in, I was told that my room's toilet flush buttons do not have a cover. The hostel kept telling me that the toilet works fine and offered nothing for this problem.

Totally amazing hostel! -They rent crazy things like ipads, GoPros, FROLF discs -They provide everyone with a towel which is amazing -Hooks and storage everywhere! -Free wifi -Big airy balcony with a view -Just a few steps from the airport bus -Fancy locker room with security cameras and charges INSIDE the lockers -The owner is super sweet and cooks a family dinner every Sunday

One of the Best. This hostel is simply amazing. The service, the location, the staff, the rooms. I really enjoyed my stay here. It is a very welcoming environment. The bedrooms are very comfortable and there is charging points every where. The lounge room has a massive TV with such a great selection of movies. There is internet access computers and a webchat room. The staff are super friendly and help you with any ANY requirement, booking or reservation you would like to make. I highly recomend this place if any ever visits Queenstown.

The quintessential hostel located in the coolest little town on earth! My friend and I absolutely loved the AQ Hostel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - making lots of phone calls and reservations on our behalf. You could not find a hostel more perfectly located - in the heart of town and a block away from Ferburger and The Cookie Bar. Best part of the whole hostel? The BED... Yes the bed! Our beds were super comfortable and didn't make any noises when getting in and out (which is incredible for a hostel). The week is also jammed packed with fun activities at the hostel from movie nights and family style roasts to trivia nights and scavenger hunts. Couldn't recommend it enough - we had a great time.
