We arrived at the property, and an older man greeted us. He told us that he had given us a “free upgrade” and put us in a different hotel at the front — not in the room we originally booked. However, the new room was actually worse than what we had reserved.
We explained to him that we didn’t like the room and that we specifically wanted to check in to the room at Nufaro, which we had seen in photos and had chosen intentionally. He refused and insisted that the room he gave us was better. We asked, “Better for who? We don’t like it.”
Then he asked us if we wanted to see the room we originally booked, even though he claimed it wasn’t better. We said yes. He took us there, and to our surprise, he opened the door to a room that was already occupied — with other people’s personal belongings inside!
We were shocked that he didn’t even inform us that he had given our room to someone else at the last minute, and instead moved us to a different hotel we hadn’t even heard of.
When we expressed our frustration, he accused us of “making problems,” but the reality is that he completely misled us.
We decided to leave and booked another hotel — one that actually gave us the room we reserved, not whatever they felt like offering.
