Aegialis Hotel & Spa

Wow! We traveled here for the Amorgos Film Festival and we were blown away. The service was great and our room- it was incredible. We had an amazing view! However, I will note that the infinity pool rooms come with a "hike". Its the newest part of the hotel but furthest from the buffet/other activities. They had golf carts to bring us but in the rain they cannot use them as the could slip (alt option was a car). Sadly the weather was a bit gloomy while we were there, but we heard in years prior it was super hot so you kind of get a mixed bag with the island (as is common for most islands). Also the heat on the island is different than in the states. 66 degrees felt like an intense 80 degrees, so be prepared! The food was good (I will dream about the greek yogurt & honey!) and the adventures we took with the festival was so insightful. The pools were too cold for us to use and sadly another yoga retreat was going on so there were no yoga classes available to guests at the time we were there. The hotel conveniently picked us up at the port and dropped us at the port as well. Overall we had a beautiful stay and Irina and her family are SO lovely. Cannot wait to go back someday- perhaps at a warmer time of the year!

I would move in here if I could. The location and facility are magical. Everything you need, nothing you don't. Truly, it felt like magic. The staff is incredibly kind, and this is a well-run ship! I wish I were there now. The food was very good and there were lots of options at each meal. Waking up, making an espresso in my room and watching the sun rise from my balcony was lifechanging.

My absolute favourite destination and place! Ticks all boxes, location, environment luxury, set up for yoga, homely feeling as everyone treats me as family there. The new addition to the hotel is even more amazing, a separate building from the original hotel, really luxurious! I have stayed twice already and I will definitely be back again!|Thank you to all of the personal for making my stay so welcome and comfortable. I am so grateful for discovering this magical place on earth, as 5 years ago i did not know about the island existed. |Highly recommended for relaxing holiday or yoga retreat!

One of the most beautiful hotels in Greece! We had a room with a private pool overlooking villages, the port, and the sea. Very magical. The hotel has sea water pool, spa, gym, sauna, and many other amenities that are all top notch. We enjoyed the tasty buffet meals that had many choices for all type of eaters. But what stands out the most is the hospitality of the owners and the staff. They were always available to answer questions and help with anything you may need and all done with smiles. They mingled with guests as though everyone is their family. We found Amorgos to be a beautiful island with many pretty villages, cute old windmills, monastery in mountainside, clear sea, and friendly people. Thank you Irene, Nikita and Stamati for a very magical experience. We definitely will be back!

This hotel has the most breathtaking views of any hotel I have ever been to! The staff are wonderful and we had an amazing time. We went as part of the Amorgos International Film Festival which also included tours of historical and cultural sites on the island. It's during the off season so you aren't having to worry about crowds and the weather is really nice. I highly recommend going to this festival.

I came for a 6-night yoga retreat and had an amazing time. The view is amazing, the service is great and the food is excellent (but the breakfast is the same every day, just fyi). The yoga studio is wonderful and has all the props you could need, as well as rope yoga. It’s a short walk to the town and beach and they also provide shuttle service. Highly recommend!

Location was beautiful. The staff was generally friendly and helpful. There was an issue with our billing at the end of our stay where we were charged incorrectly. The front desk was less that helpful in resolving the issue. The end result was I paid hundreds ($600 to be exact) over in what I felt my bill should be. I contacted management via email to try and get them to look into the issue. I got an email back saying that they would look into it and 4 weeks later I have zero resolution. So were the views worth the extra money I had to spend? Probably not. I expected better from a place that claims to be 5 stars.

What an utterly wonderful hotel run by incredibly lovely genuine people. I can honestly say that we received some brilliant service. We felt so very welcomed and cared for throughout our 11 night stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. The location idyllic. The daily complimentary yoga with Eleni blissful. We could have stayed longer, which is not something we often say. Thank you for a magical holiday. We will be back!
