Very glad to now have an airport in Tulum. It appears to have opened back in late 2023, so it has a fairly modern look and feel. It’s not too large of an airport… it’s fairly manageable to walk across the entire thing in less than 10 minutes. Security was very fast for me. There were literally no people in front of me. My boarding pass said “priority security” but there didn’t appear to be a priority security option. There were a number of food and shopping options before and after security, but I do t believe there were any lounge options.

Beautiful new airport. Given new, currently low traffic so everything is quick. Only real negative is when you arrive they manually go through your luggage. No X-ray. Causes delays not to mention privacy for some may be a concern.

The best thing to happen to Tulum! I was pleasantly surprised by its size—much larger than I had anticipated. It’s a fully equipped, proper airport and incredibly convenient. If it’s your first time in Mexico and you’re traveling on a budget—or simply don’t want to pay the exorbitant fees charged by taxis—consider taking the ADO bus instead.

Easy, clean, super nice people! If you can arrange to fly in here, do it! You can take a bus to Downtown Tulum for $11 USD! The train from the airport to Tulum runs 2x in the morning. That will increase in time. BUY your bus passes on the ADO website, or get them in person as you PASS THROUGH the many "Welcome booths" directly out of customs. Just keep walking PAST them to get into the big area of the airport with many car rentals, busses, etc. Refer to my photos. ENJOY TULUM! If you want an amazing experience, stay at or visit our condo located in KAN HOTEL in Tulum 🌺

The service here was fairly fast and professional. I wish it had more food options, but it was spacious and didn’t feel cramped. The bathrooms were nice at all times. I would prefer paper towels over the air dry machines. Overall solid, small airport.

Love the new airport. Takes an hour off our drive time compared to flying into Cancun to get to our usual resort. We ate lunch at Frontera (beef burrito special with fries) and also ordered guacamole that was very good.

I'm pleasantly surprised with the Tulum airport. Although it's still very new, the passenger flow is very efficient. The wayfinding is clear. Upon arrival, going thru Customs is easy. Keep in mind that if you arrive with 4 other flights, it might get very busy. Baggage claim is a decent size. Departing Tulum, the check-in process is really dependant upon the airline and the ticket agent. We haven't experienced any issues. Lots of screening equipment to get passengers through security. Once airside, decent options for dining. A couple of shopping stores. Overall, we've haven't had any issues traveling into our out of Tulum.
