Come for the cats, stay for the cats!! I had the pleasure of visiting on a Tuesday and there were only one or two people with me. There weren't many cats when I arrived due to a lot being adopted over the weekend, and who can be mad at that?! Luckily I Also got to watch a few new cats join the cafe during my visit! I got to play, enjoy some cuddles and it definitely made my birthday special. I was set on a cupcake that I saw online, but unfortunately they were sold out. I got a brownie instead and it wasn't the best. The frozen lemonade was awesome though! I WILL be back!

Joe

Google
Great cafe and concept. They have had over 1k cats adopted since they have been open. Reservation needed to pet cats. Kids under 13 can only come on Sunday reservations. Lots of space clean we can’t wait to come back to have a reservation with the cats.

Google
Wandered in here as tourists looking for cat cafes. Cat visits are normally by appointment only, but as luck would have it somebody cancelled their visit, so the staff cut us a little slack. Lots of cute kitties up for adoption, some of whom can be a bit spicy at times, so be sure to respect their boundaries and listen to what the staff have to say about them. I was allowed to give some quality ear scratches. :)

Google
I love this place. You have to make appointments to be in the cat area, which is good for both the cats and guests. Reasonable prices, excellent hot teas and lavender lemonade. VERY friendly and professional service, very clean interior for the little ones.

The person in the cat room knew every little detail about every cat! Our drinks were very good and the pastries looked amazing. They had gluten free options as well. It was clean and inviting to spend time with some cats.

Google
It is a perfect place to relax but also keep entertainment. The cats are hilarious. Could be better with some stronger odor neutralization.

It's simple - if you love cats, go! There's cats! And cat lovers working there, cat lovers visiting, and the maple meowcchiato was 👌🤌

One of the best experiences I’ve had at any cafe in my life. Found it by chance because the place I always would go to was closed. The staff was so kind and accommodating and the cafe is so unique. Even though we couldn’t go inside with the cats because it was reserved up due to Valentines Day, we had an amazing time watching them through the glass. The menu is unbelievable. Standard coffee/ espresso drinks made with the best quality but also unique things for people with a sweet tooth and also, the option for unsweetened ceremonial matcha- which is something that I was excited about because you don’t see that often with the option to get it in the form of a latte. Cute things to buy from local artists. I had to leave with a succulent planter which my friend and I decided was my personality the most. Someone was training a cat to sit at a post right by our table and put the cutest flower hat on it. I thought that was a kind gesture because we couldn’t go inside. Nothing but pure joy from our experience. The cats are treated with such care it’s so wonderful to see. You could tell this cat was completely unfazed by the hat and it was on loosely and never tried to take it off for at least an hour that it sat by us and just chilled.

Yelp
What's not to love?? The staff were super friendly and welcoming, the drinks were great, and you get to play with CATS!! They're doing wonderful work with hundreds of adoptions, and socializing rescue kitties. Go there and support a great cause!

Howard L.

Yelp
First time coming here, we also checked out the cute kitties in the room next door booking online. You get a limited time and it felt good you aren't obligated to make a purchase from the cafe before entering. The cafe portion is small and cute but it's a more "grab and go" feeling. There's not really food here but there's plenty of snacks. Besides snacks they got a cute little gift shop. If you visit to see the cats booking online, all the cats are up for adoption, they have given tons of forever homes and it's so cute! The staff is friendly and the cats are in a very spacious and clean environment!

Tracey J.

Yelp
Love this cute place. Just make reservations if you want to hang with the cats. The cafe offers a variety of coffee and teas. I got the breakfast blend tea and it was a good strong tea and the water was perfect temp not too hot but hot enough. They have a variety of baked goods. I got a carrot cake pop tart and it was delicious. I didn't expect it to be that good. The baristas are very helpful in directing you in their variety of cafe drinks. Highly recommend.

Yelp
The place: Plenty of space in the cafe side. LOTS of comfy seating in the cat side. On the back wall, there's a wall of profiles of each cat so you can get an idea of everyone's personalities. There are so many spaces for the cats to hide, climb, and play. I was particularly impressed by the catwalks up near the ceiling where the cats can look down at guests. The location: Just a couple doors down from Lucky's. Nestled into a neighborhood where there's plentiful free street parking. The treats: The blended lemonade was exactly what I needed. Yes, it was cold out, but you know what? The lemonade was the perfect mix of tart and sweet. Beautiful. The service: The staff seem like the type of people I'd enjoy befriending. They're a little quirky and a lot caring. They truly care about what they're doing and they're committed to the cats. I think everyone was wearing a cat themed t-shirt when we visited. The cats were friendly and playful. There were enough cats that every guest had someone to play with. I successfully pet every cat within reach. All very soft. Next time: I would love to stick around for longer, maybe bring a book and sit with one of the old kitties.

Lucy T.

Yelp
Heckin ADORABLE!!! I love this place! I came with a small group and a reservation to play with kitties for 30 minutes and absolutely loved it. (Tip: I saw there was a discount for groups over 4 if you book online! It's also fun to look at the felines that will be there on their website) This small business has a calming causal atmosphere and is so pleasant to be in. The cat play area is spacious and supervised by kind staff. There's numerous trinkets and toys around to use to play with the cats and of course numerous lovable cats lounging by to entertain. The cats seemed relaxed and well taken care of. There's an area for them to exit and get a break from humans if they want to too! I just absolutely love what this store does for rescue kitties and hope that if you're debating visiting, you do yourself a favor and do so. Enjoy!

Rachel D.

Yelp
Amazing cat cafe! So many cute adoptable kitties or just new friends you get to hang out with. The environment is super chill, with a cat cafe employee watching over everyone who the enters the cat side of the cafe. There are plenty of toys to play with the kitties, so no worries about being bored! I made a reservation online a few weeks in advance, but I follow their social media and they usually have plenty of open reservations. Just always make sure you reserve a spot because sometimes they close early if they don't have any reservations. On the cafe side they sell cat toys and human cat themed accessories, all handmade or from local owned businesses! Honestly, I expected to go into this cafe and to get a coffee, but then I saw they had root beer floats with Mitchell's ice cream, so I had to indulge! Best root beer float ever! I had a wonderful time and will be sure to visit again soon!

Yelp
3 stars? 4? I dunno. Something not immediately mentioned is that a reservation is needed (especially for busy days) to be able to drink with the cats. Being from it of town is a bummer in this instance. I'd have loved to spend time with the cats and see if adopting one to take home was possible. ‍ I wasn't interested in yet another coffee stop for myself (3rd of the day) so opted out of getting a drink while here. The place is clean, well maintained, the staff was friendly and asked immediately if I'd been there before or knew what I was doing (I didn't lol). The entrance looks more like a pet adoption place than a coffee house and could use some work there, but over all- trendy. There is a fee to spend time with the cats in the adoption room. (While there were only 2 people in the large cat adoption room, I (one person) was not able to see the adoptable cats. (Bummed)) I think the idea is wonderful, and good luck to them!

Warren S.

Yelp
This was a Valentine's Day surprise for me and it honestly was such a fun time - perfect for a date! The cafe certainly is taking great precautions due to COVID with temperate checks and hand sanitizer. Once entering the cat area, we were greeted by friendly staff and even friendlier cats!! The room is so cleverly laid out, and there is a wall with pictures of the cat's names, ages, their personalities - and whether or not they are available for adoption! I had such a fun time and certainly fell "in love" with a few of them! Make a reservation - it's SO WORTH IT!

Lynette C.

Yelp
I was finally able to check this place out. Omg cutest concept ever! My niece wanted to come for her "late bday party" my sister made reservations to visit the kitties. We even got to meet one of the resident kitties. The cafe itself is small with three tables but so cozy. They have huge windows where you can sit at a table and watch the kitties of affoGATO play on their huge play area. When we arrived we were greeted by the cafe staff including the owners of the cafe. Everyone was extremely friendly. We were introduced to the cat room attendant whom was also super friendly. She explained to us about all of the kitties that were there today and their mannerisms. They have plenty of toys to interact with the kitties. I had never been to something like this and it was really cool. Due to covid restrictions you still need to wear a mask while in with the kitties and no food or drink is aloud. There is plenty of places to sit and plenty of friendly little furballs to play with. They even have a wall with the kitties names and info on them and how many have been adopted. It's so cool that they work with the APL where I ended up getting my last furbaby from to get more kitties adopted out. It's a fun place and I would definitely recommend visiting. I didn't try any coffee or anything food my sister grabbed a coffee tho before coming to play with the kitties.

Yelp
I Loved this place! Staff was super friendly & Cats were adorable. Very clean & well lit. I was very pleased. Coffee was good also. I already have a Cat so I just went to visit. I was also happy to give a donation. Gerry Waite

Yelp
Super cute casual coffee/tea location in Tremont. For cat lovers, there is a room for cats and cat parents to play (reservations required). I have a friend that loves cats and bought a lot of cat gifts that were offered at the store too! I got a earl gray tea + lavender (per barista recommendation) and omg this iced tea was BOMB! I loved that they gave me insight on additions to the tea. Staff was extremely friendly.

Amy J.

Yelp
It's a cat cafe....but you can't drink your coffee with the cats. Sadly nowhere on the website did I see that the cat and cafe parts are entirely separate. You must eat or drink outside. $25 for up to two people for a non private hour with the cafe. Very nice employees. I can't really hate on it because it is all for a good cause despite how big of a bummer it was to not be able to enjoy a coffee while observing and playing with the cats.

Neha G.

Yelp
A welcomed addition to the Tremont area! Apparently this cafe has been around for three years. I finally stopped by on a visit to CLE and it was super cute. I booked tickets in advance to have access to the cats. For $11 you can hang out with the rescue cats for 30 minutes. You'll enter the cafe and checkin with your name. They require masks and if you don't have one, they will gladly provide one. From the cafe there is a separate door to enter the area where the cats play. If you are going on a weekend, I'd suggest booking a reservation for the cat access online in advance to get the desired time. While walk-ins may be accepted, they are pretty popular and may be full. All the cats are adoptable and there is a board with all their names and photos on the wall. The employee will let you know about the friendliest cats and things to avoid. Otherwise its pretty cozy and fun. I got scratched by one, but luckily they have alcohol wipes and bandaids if needed. :) I'd suggest getting coffee after playing with the cats. That way you can wash your hands and sit back to enjoy (perhaps even see the cats still wandering around through the glass wall. The cafe is small with maybe four round tables. The lattes, coffees, hot chocolate all looked great! We decided to go for the afogato ($6)! Espresso with a scoop of local vegan ice cream from Mitchell's was so good! (ice cream options include vegan salted caramel or vegan vanilla). Also, the baked goods are all vegan and sourced locally. We tried the blueberry 'pop tarts,' ($6) which come in strawberry and cinnamon flavors too. Other options were brownies, cookies, and cupcakes. Seemed like most people were getting coffee to go. A restroom is available. They also sell t-shirts and packaged coffee too. If you go on a weekend, you can find free street parking in the area. Overall, cute spot to grab coffee and a treat (even if you don't book cat time). Then go for lunch next door at Lucky's and take a short walk to Tremont Scoops for ice cream.

Eileen O.

Yelp
Even though I am allergic to cats, my friends wanted to meet up at this cool new concept of a cat cafe in Tremont, so an allergy pill became a good friend of mine! $10 cover charge to get 1 hour to spend with all the cats within the cafe. There are allotted times to go in as a group, so you might have to wait until the previous group leaves before the next group can go in. Parking on the street is convenience, and coffee and food available purchase.

Karla W.

Yelp
Such a cute spot in such an odd spot Love the idea of cat adoption promotion this spot offers Super friendly staff Delicious coffee and my first affogato- which I'd highly recommend trying at least

Tatiana R.

Yelp
It's a really cute cafe with a separate cat lounge and themed cafe menu items. I ordered the Passionfruit Lemewnade and it's absolutely delicious. Both the cafe and cat lounge have cat themed decor that is easy to fall in love with.

Kathy H.

Yelp
The cat lounge is comfy & clean and staff is so helpful. The cats are the best! Look at the website before going & learn about each cat's purrrsonality or read about them on the wall hangings with photo & name of each cat. No pressure to adopt so you can just get your cat fix or bond with a kitty to give her/him a forever home. In the adjoining cafe, the coffee is locally sourced & many special drink choices plus vegan pastry options. I've promised myself a brownie on my next visit.

Megan R.

Yelp
While I was home for the holidays, my family and I wanted to do something different so we decided to check out the affoGATO Cat Café. I am so glad we did because it was such a fun afternoon activity! Unfourtunetly I am alergic to cats and my mother had to make the difficult decicion to keep me or the family cat when I showed up. Thankfully she picked me, however this left her catless. This cat cafe was a perfect way to spend the afternoon because I was able to pop some alergy medcine and see her and my sister enjoy the fuzzy friends. We were able to walk in and make a reservation the day of. Beforehand we checked the website to see when there were openings just so we did not make the trip for nothing. Overall affoGATO was such a great place. You can really tell that they truly care about the cats and their well being. They have select days during the week that the cats can take a break from social interaction. I know my family will be back to hang out soon!

Connie X.

Yelp
I'm not much of a cat person, but visiting the affoGATO Cat Café was so worth it. The café is set up as both a coffee/tea shop on one side, and a closed-off home for the cats on the other side. You need to make a reservation online if you want to visit and play with the cats, but from my experience, I didn't have any issues finding spots available. I came with my friend, and we both paid $10 each on a weekday to visit the cats. I will say that they do bite and scratch, but overall, just being able to sit with the cats felt very stress-relieving. Some cats are permanent residents at the café, while others are available for adoption. The workers there are super friendly, and they definitely take the time to care for all the kitties. Not sure if I'd visit again, just because again... I'm not a big cat person. However, I love that a cat café like affoGATO now exists in Cleveland.

Elena W.

Yelp
This was our last stop out of Cleveland on our way to the airport. The staff was super nice and put our luggage behind the counter for us while we spent time with the cats. Would definitely say it's worth the time. We also got an iced coffee( snow leopard) and lavender lemonade ( my daughter said it was delicious !)

Josie L.

Yelp
by far one of my favorite places in cleveland. it's super easy to make reservations online and the staff are so nice and knowledgeable about all the cats! a few months my girlfriend and i brought in a stray cat to the APL - we tried taking her in but she was not happy with our cat. we kept tabs on her and found out that she ended up at the cat cafe. i watched a livestream (they have twitch so you can see videos of the cats whenever!) and cried when i saw her. she is THRIVING. the cats are so well taken care of and obviously so so loved by the staff. they know all of the cats personalities which is so impressive because there are a lot! the cat room isn't crowded at all and the cats have so much room to play, climb, and get away if they need to. i can't say enough good things about this place.

Elaine L.

Yelp
I had a phenomenal time today at this cozy little cafe near downtown Cleveland in the Tremont neighborhood. I tend to be a little wary of animal cafes - the residents are sometimes poorly taken care of and are often overstimulated by all the customer attention. However, affoGATO goes above and beyond to make sure that their little furry friends enjoy peaceful lives. The cafe isn't open on Monday and Tuesday to give the cats some time to destress. They also control the number of visitors in the cat side of the cafe in order to prevent the cats from being overstimulated. Immediately before entering the cats' territory, visitors are given a list of rules before they're allowed inside. Inside, they have pictures and profiles for all the cats so that visitors know which cats are more cuddly and which are more feisty. The staff work constantly throughout the day in order to keep the area clean. I think it's safe to say that the cats at affoGATO are in very good hands. The cats themselves are very calm and cuddly. While playing with the cats, you can fill out a tear-away order sheet for some caffeinated drinks! All of the drinks have cute cat-themes names. I had their cappuccino with soy milk and it was excellent! Had a little bit of sugar in it (which I did not expect), but I would definitely be willing to return just for the coffee. All in all, had a great experience here today. A side note: many of the cats in this cafe are available for adoption. 106 cats have been adopted since January 2019, which is AMAZING. I would highly recommend that everyone come and support this endeavor.

Anna W.

Yelp
If you need a place to destress, enjoy a cup of coffee, and play with some of the cutest cats I have seen-- this is the place for you! The cafe sells a variety of coffee, drinks, and sweet pastries, and is separated from where you interact with the cats (if you are worried about getting hair in your food). The room you interact with the cats in is cozy, spacious, clean, and well organized with tons of cat toys, cute cat-themed games, books, and decorations. The back wall is super helpful since they put up pictures and unique descriptions of every cat, as well as helpful pointers as to which cats were/ weren't big fans of petting. When I went, there were around 10 cats that we could play with, and a few of them had only been there for 1-2 days so they were a bit shyer. Overall though, the cats were incredibly friendly and were eager to get head scratches! I spent time bouncing around from cat to cat since I wanted to make sure everyone got some love. I appreciated the abundance of cat toys and tunnels that were available for the cats to play with as well. The staff who work here are phenomenal and are clearly passionate what they do since everyone was excited to ell us each of the cat's names, their individual personalities, and offered guidance to those considering adopting some feline friends. If you are interested in coming for some high quality cuddle time, just make sure you make a reservation in advance on their website!

Alex C.

Yelp
I really loved our family's experience. Staff were very friendly and kind. Also looked as though all of the cats were treated well and having the time of there lives sleeping the day away and playing with the toys. Overall great experience will be coming back again!

Vivian Q.

Yelp
A really fun experience that's finally come to Cleveland! Went with some friends on a weekend - we spent some time in the cafe area before our reservation time (standard cafe drinks with cute cat pun names - try the affoGATO with 2 scoops of caramel ice cream, quite delicious), and then we were led into the cat lounge area. It's a comfortable, relaxing environment with plenty of places to sit, and lots of toys to entice the cats! It was such a stress-relieving hour just to be amongst the 10+ cats (2 residents, the rest open to adoption) and pet and play with them. There's also a staffer who stays in the room with you, talking about all the different cats' personalities, which I loved learning about. All in all, an enjoyable time!

Sadie T.

Yelp
my experience here was amazing! the workers were so kind, the cats were so sweet and the atmosphere was very welcoming. not to mention that the drinks were so good! (get the tuxedo cat with oat milk and thank me later) i've wanted to visit for such a long time and now that i have, i can definitely say it was worth the trip! i will absolutely be visiting again sometime (:

Vito C.

Yelp
What a great time! We made a reservation to be inside with the cats ($10 or $8 for students). There were about 13 cats and roughly 14 people in there when we went and it was awesome! Not too crowded and everyone had time to play with/pet all the cats. Most were fine with being pet and a lot were playful, no issues during our time. The coffee was also really good which I wasn't expecting. All around it was a really fun and unique time, definitely going back!

Janelle K.

Yelp
I made a reservation for the cat room in advance for myself, my husband, and my son. We got there a bit early and had to wait until our reserved time to be allowed in the cat room, which was a bit annoying but we understood. We got annoyed when it was past the reservation time and they were still not letting us in. Apparently their process is to let everyone for a particular time slot order drinks and tell everyone all the rules at once after that. So we were paying 12 dollars for an hour in the cat room and they were trying to make us wait around longer for the late-comers to order drinks even though we had already been waiting for a long time and it was then within our reserved time period. We finally got into the cat room and it was ok in there. It was pretty clean and a couple of the cats were nice and wanted to be pet. Most of the cats though seemed tired and not very interested in interacting with anyone. There weren't enough cats to go around for the amount of people. It seemed like the cats are so used to attention that they are rather indifferent and it's not as fun as you would expect. The drinks were fine but nothing extraordinary. It felt a little awkward there, like the employees didn't want customers there and were too overbearing and strict. It was a decent one-time, special occasion experience but considering the cost and everything, it's not something I would do often or probably again at all. Charging 12 dollars a person to sit with cats (not even including a drink) seems high. It's cool they adopt the cats and all, but we didn't feel that the value was there.

Parker W.

Yelp
I love cats. I love to observe them and pet them if they allow. AffoGATO was the third cat cafe I have been to. They all have same premise of being a place to hang out with and possibly adopt cats. It is similar to a strip club. You pay an entry fee and go into a back room where the cats reside. There were 16 there last night. It was fun to see which cats were outgoing and which were introverted. It would be fun to do a Myers Briggs personality breakdown of the felines. Minnie was the thick, chubby kitty who wouldn't leave me alone. She was an EFNJ. She enjoyed her food. They supply the customers with treats. Minnie wolfed them down. Our family pet growing up was named Minnie and just like this Minnie, was the opposite of mini. This cat is XL and was quite the charmer. Checkers was a gorgeous tabby who hung out in the back. The orange cat ran the obstacle course twice and really blew my mind. I plan to return many times and hang out with the cats. If they had a liquor license I would be there every week.

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
This place is amazing! They have pastries, drinks and cats! They have a fun little coffee shop area and a cat room! You can bring your snacks into the cat room. They currently have 8 cats, one being a resident cat. Some cats are not as cuddly and some are super snuggly! Remember to make a reservation and book an appointment!!!

Melanie N.

Yelp
I loved my first trip to affoGATO, Cleveland's cat cafe. It's only been open for 3 days and they're already a well oiled machine. I'd definitely suggest you don't come without reservations! They're booked well in advance. During the reservation process you'll have to prepay your time in the cat room which is $10 an hour. You're asked to arrive 15 minutes ahead of your reservation. During that time you're able to order a drink, grab a snack and learn the rules of the cafe. They'll you'll be escorted into the cat room. While you're there, you're free to sit in any of the cozy chairs, couches or even on the floor. During my hour long visit there were 8 cats in the room. At 3:00 in the afternoon many of them were napping in beds around the room and appreciated being petted while they slept. Others were more alert and were eager to play with us. The environment was peaceful and relaxing. The hour went so quickly. They anticipate having more cats in the future but mentioned that the APL where the cats are from, had an unusually small number of cats available for adoption this week. If you fall in love with one of their cats, most are available for adoption. I had a great first experience at affoGATO and can't wait to return!

Melissa P.

Yelp
Cute concept but the idea is a little inconvenient for your every day person. You have to make a reservation in a time slot and the cafe outside the "cat room " super small. The cat room was fun although there were a hand full of cats in the room half of them were either scared or sleeping on a high ceilings' playground. Love the fact that most of the cats you are able to rescue but some are what they call resident cats and stay at the cafe . Ten bucks for one hour not bad but had just as much fun at the apl .

Gabrielle G.

Yelp
I LOVE cats and I loved this place. You do need a reservation most likely, we made ours a few days in advance for a Sunday and the earliest open was 4pm. We got there early to try the cafe - we got a mocha iced coffee drink and an affogatto Bc I wanted ice cream :) both were delicious . The shop is pretty small so not a ton of seats, the cat area is larger though. Probably not a place you can stop by and sit for coffee as it's crowded with people awaiting their turn with cats. The cat part was of course awesome and so many have been adopted out so far which is amazing . They are all rescues. The people working seemed to have a good knowledge of all the cats likes and dislikes and were very nice. Some kids were in our group and got bored easy but what can you expect- cats like to sleep at this time and won't be as active haha. I would come back for sure and so happy we finally got one here :)

Joe G.

Yelp
I can't really say a whole lot since the interior was closed and we didn't have a reservation to enjoy the cats inside. However, the staff outside were very friendly. They offer a wide variety of drinks and goodies to purchase all displayed in the window or on a board outside. The prices are great and the drinks were amazing. No complaints there at all. While waiting for drinks we peeked in the window to look at the cats and saw a worker cleaning the entire room wiping off every surface and the toys. They are very safe from what we saw with COVID right now. Hope to go back soon!

Ilona P.

Yelp
Meow meow- come to visit us! We loved our experience at the cat cafe. I saw this cafe when I visited the salon next door. I needed to reserve my spot so I wasn't able to come in at that time. Last weekend, my girlfriend asked to watch her son and I thought it was perfect time to visit the cafe with two boys. We bought tickets one line- they have kids and students discounts yay! We arrived earlier to drink hot tea and eat sweets. Before coming inside the cats' room we listened to the rules and tips how to behave with cats. After coming inside, kids were blessed! I believe it was more than 10 cats- some friendly and some better not to pet. The working ladies gave us good directions and suggestions. There were many diverse toys that you could use in the play with cats. Boys liked playing and observing the cats' behavior. Unfortunately, one boy who was with mom was scratched by one of the cats. The boy didn't listen the rules and annoyed one cat. Luckily, my boys well behaved and were slightly afraid to over interact with cats. The experience costed me 24$ for one hour. I think the experience was pleasant and it was worth to come here. One small minus- the place wasn't the cleanest and had some smell- obviously from cats lol definitely, this place is not good for someone is allergic to cats.

Yelp
Haven't even went in to see the cats yet. It the ice coffee is delicious and they give student discounts!

Yelp
Nice little coffee shop with beverages cutely named with cat themes. Be sure to make a reservation online to visit the cat room. In it are a number if adoptable cats for you to interact with

Yelp
My dad wanted to take me and my friends to the cat café for my birthday. He made a reservation for me and 4 other girls. So me and 3 of the girls drove 45 minutes to get there and the other girl was going to meet us there. When we got there we were checked for our reservation. I love cats and I was really excited. But said that my dad messed up my he reservation. But I was with my dad when he did the reservation and he put down everyone's names. They also said that they could not fit us in. So then we had to call the other girl and tell her what happened and how we are going to have to do something different for my birthday. Even thought we had to drive 45 minutes there.

Yelp
My wife and I came in on a Saturday afternoon, excited to drink coffee and see the cats. We were promptly told that we would be unable to enter the cat room unless we had a reservation. The cat room was huge and empty, with maybe 4 or 5 people occupying a room that could easily house/seat 20 people. They turned away around 10 other people while we were waiting for our coffee. The coffee was good (though it should be based on the expensive prices), otherwise this would be a zero star review. Not sure this business model is going to work out so great....we have a coffee machine and cats at home. We won't be back and unfortunately we will have to tell all of our other cat loving friends who are waiting to hear about our experience that it's not worth a trip over there. Cool concept in theory but a total bust on execution.

Yelp
I stumbled across this cat cafe this weekend. It's kind of like a coffee shop and a cat petting zoo all in one! The people who work here are incredibly happy, friendly and personable. Some of them wear cat ear headbands and cat-themed clothes, which I love. I would come back here just for the excellent service alone. The coffee is good, and they have a few different milk options so that you can customize your drink. They sell some baked goods as well, but I haven't tried any of those yet. The cat room requires a reservation, which they can help you set up or you can set it up on your own from their website. On weekends, it's $12 for one hour of cat petting time. The cat room has several cats, many of which are adoptable. They even help you adopt, if you're interested. They have toys set out and lots of seating so you can play or sit with the cats. It's a really interesting and unique experience. If you don't have a reservation, you can still watch the cats through one of the big windows! Would recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
I had never been to a cat café. I had heard of them, but never been. And then my brother came from Saint Louis to visit me in my new city of Cleveland. And he told me about this cat café in Tremont that he had on his small list of things to do while he was here. So what did we do? We sure as hell went to a cat café, that's what we did. Totally amazing experience and if you've never been and don't know what it's all about, just do yourself a favor and go. It's coffee. And cats. There isn't a much better recipe for happiness than what I just typed. You do have to make a reservation, but it doesn't cost extra and it's as easy as calling a bit in advance (my brother called the day of). I actually prefer it that way because then you know you are securing a spot. I think it's smart to limit the amount of people in there because a) the cats don't get overwhelmed and b) you get guaranteed time with the cats rather than fighting for their attention amongst hordes of people. When we arrived they checked us in and brought us to the cat room. There is a main café room where you order drinks and sit and then a glass window that you can peer into the cat room with. I love this concept as well because they have each cat's "profile" on the wall. If you really click with a certain sweet cat, you can adopt them for $50! They all have very diverse personalities and we had so much fun playing with them in the beautiful cat nursery, so to speak. You can also order drinks from the cat room and have them brought into you. It's a recipe for happiness, like I said! If you're in the Tremont area, do yourself a favor and stop by!

Yelp
Only got a drink: the soy chai latte. I prefer it on the sweeter side assuming their soy is unflavored. You get to see the cats next door. You do need a reservation and they were booked for the next two days. They obviously have the affoGATO with vanilla bean yum.

Yelp
I went with my 3 kids on a friday night thinking we would be able to order some coffee and treats and pet some cats. We wanted to enter the "Cat Room" and were told that you need to make a reservation. The cost is $10 an hour for an adult and $8 an hour for children, so it would have $34 for the 4 of us. I've never heard of anything so ridiculous. We can go to the local pet store or animal shelter and play with cats for free. I understand this helps the APL, but you can go to the APL itself and see about 100 cats with no charge.

Yelp
You like coffee? That was an easy one. You like cats? Another easy one. Seems like a no-brainer, right? The most important thing to remember about affoGATO is that it's a great place for people to meet and adopt cats. I went in early March and by that time, they had already found a good home for over 40 cats in 2019. And for that, I salute them. The coffee was very good and aptly named (I had a purr-over) and the cats were a-plenty. I would only suggest adjusting your expectations before going. First, you need a reservation, so get that out of the way. Second, if you're expecting to be smothered with the soft bodies of kittens crawling all over you, mewing, purring and wanting--no, NEEDING the acute attention that only you can properly give them--you might be a bit disappointed. The cats were about as nonplussed to see more people as can be. This may have been for any number of reasons. By the time our appointment rolled around at 8pm, they had been bombarded with attention all day. They had also just been fed, so they were all full-bellied and docile. But you have to give credit where credit is due, and this place is doing a great thing for these cats and I suggest making a visit! Who knows, you may just meet the cat of your dreams

Yelp
Everything my cat lovers heart could want! My only complaint is-- and I can't pinpoint it, but it's either that 15 people per hour visit is too many and you then don't get enough kitty time, or there aren't enough kitties because quite a few were snoozing. Other than that, I really enjoyed it.

Yelp
Such a fun and relaxing experience. I made reservations with my gf a week ahead of time. We got there a few minutes early so we sat in the cafe and ordered some drinks and pastries while we waited. I had a lemon bar and it was delishes. We were able to bring them inside the cat lounge with us. You could also order once you were inside the lounge and have your food and drinks brought in for you. At first I was apprehensive about the number of people in our time slot. Whether we'd all get enough time with the cats and if it would feel cramped but there was plenty of both. About a dozen people and a dozen cats. Plenty of comfy seating. It was really relaxing. Everyone was calm and quietly talking. You only get one hour which I felt was just enough time. My only complaint was the cafe was ssooo small. Only a couple tables and once people started arriving most had to awkwardly stand while waiting. Other than that it was a great experience. I especially liked the bio wall with all the cats pictures and descriptions.

Yelp
I've been to multiple cat cafes around the country and this one is by far the best. The treats and drinks are adorable and delicious. Very clean facilities and the staff is very nice. Lots of cute kitties and lots of toys to be able to use to interact with the cats. 12/10 will definitely return frequently!

Yelp
I have been waiting to come here for months and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. It is so easy to make a reservation online. Coming into the cafe, the staff is so friendly and they have all the traditional drinks for coffee and non-coffee lovers alike (also all the drinks have fun cat puns!). My drink was great! There were 6 other people in my group and I did not feel like we were crowded into the play area at all. Of course the cats were all wonderful to play with, you can tell they are all loved and cared for. Our room attendant was very knowledgeable and gave us helpful hints for interacting with each cat's personality. I can see how 177 cats have been adopted through the cafe. I believe the admittance price was worth the experience and will for sure be going back again!
