Working with African Adventures was beyond a 5-star experience! My consultant, Tracy Stevens, was phenomenal! She listened closely to me to understand the vacation I was envisioning. Her extensive experience and travels to Africa helped her to make suggestions and design a trip that would give me a wonderful introduction to African Safari’s. My travels included Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and ended with a few days in Zanzibar. Each provided a different lodging experience. This itinerary was a perfect mixture to keep the trip interesting, as well as see what I would like best for future Safari’s. The itinerary was very comprehensive and detailed, leaving no room for doubt about what you were doing, when, and with whom. There were some built in local excursions along the way to give you a taste of the culture and people. And there were other special touchpoints along the way that made you feel like your consultant was checking in with you from start to finish. Tracy took her time to ensure I was comfortable with what to expect, what to pack, and to answer any questions I had leading up to departure. I wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip with African Adventures, as well as working with Tracy again. I feel like I made a new friend along this journey!

My family had an amazing trip planned by Africa Adventure Consultants. We were impressed with the whole process from start to finish. We were well prepared with what to pack and what we needed to complete prior to our trip. The final recommended itinerary provided by Angie was fabulous and we ended up seeing everything we wanted and more. She (and Ciara) made sure all our questions or concerns were addressed. We felt welcomed and quite comfortable in every camp we stayed. Everything was so well planned, that any hiccups (such as heavy rains washing out our nearby airstrip) were hardly noticed. We would happily plan another safari with Angie, Ciara, and Africa Adventure Consultants again!

An African adventure is a must for anyone interested in wildlife, understanding culture and the building of impoverished communities. We visited Tanzania and Uganda in September. We saw everything we expected to see and more. The place is abuzz with happy friendly people, animals and birdlife doing crazy stuff. Very bad roads offer an unsolicited African massage. Highlights were; seeing the river crossing of the wildebeest and zebra migration in the northern Serengeti, the Ngorongoro crater and a walk with the chimps and Gorillas and golden monkeys in Uganda. Despite travel movements between 6 lodges in two countries on roads and small planes there was not a single issue on the whole trip. Lodges and staff and wildlife guides were exceptional and sauna + massages an evening treat. We return home to our privileged lifestyle and vow to never complain about our lot in life but also followup on supporting some of the ‘help community’ and school projects we visited. Thanks to Angie at African Adventure consultants for organising a truely heartwarming experience.

Sara Stork from Africa Consultants was extremely helpful while deciding details of our trip to Africa. We gave her our ideas and wanted to always have guides & personal along the way. The options Sara provided were exceptional! Marina helped us with extra details(immunizations, visas, packing, country information, etc) prior to our departure. We had a zoom call prior to our departure to discuss final details & address questions. Africa Consultants coordinated with travel agent for flights & travel insurance company. They provided a daily agenda through an app Travel Key, which was also very helpful. Each person, each guide, each drivers were very easy to understand since everyone spoke English. They were so friendly, kind & caring. We had a few issues at the domestic airports, but we always had someone to help us in airports coming & going. We kept very busy. During my trip, I became ill requiring hospitalization, Sara worked with the African travel companies to help us through this part of our trip. After the trip, Sara assisted with documentation required to file a travel insurance claim. Outstanding!

First, we want to say that this review is long overdue! My partner and I took our trip to South Africa in June 2025. We went through "Africa Adventure Consultants" and honestly can't say enough great things about them! Their customer service was exceptional! From the first phone call until the end of our trip, we were impressed beyond words. Angie-Sarah Voigt was our primary consultant. She was so warm, friendly, and knowledgeable -- we thoroughly enjoyed talking with her! She lives in the U.S. but is from S. Africa - so she has experienced all of the adventures that we went on and could explain everything in detail (spot on). We asked to go to private, luxury safari reserves, where we could experience all of the animals and different South African terrains. After much discussion, Angie arranged for us to go to Kambaku River Sands (our favorite!) and "andBeyond Phinda Forest Lodge." BOTH WERE EXCEPTIONAL!! There were so many little extras that I would have never expected that truly impressed us (e.g., champagne greeting, hot washcloth greetings, warm beds, hot water bottles to warm us in the open-air vehicles, romantic champagne bubble bath, special snacks and drinks in our beautiful suites, special hand-written notes, staff's attention to every detail and their African dancing!! (the list goes on!). Aside from Angie, her colleague, Kerri Callender, provided excellent service as well! If Angie wasn't available, Kerri was always there! Oh, and most importantly, we saw every animal we'd hoped to see - and so many more (Big Five, cheetahs, hyenas, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos, zebras, crocodiles, various antelopes, etc.), of which would not have been possible without our extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, and utterly exceptional guides and trackers. They transported us in perfect, open-air Land Rovers and Land Cruisers! They could take us virtually anywhere with those powerful 4-wheel drive vehicles and it was an absolute blast! And the guides had so much personality and made every trip so exciting! Special kudos to "Guy" at Kambaku River Sands (10/10!!) . . . Personality, passion, and so entertaining! Honestly, if you want a trip of a lifetime (literally), you can't lose going through Africa Adventure Consultants, Inc. Africa will remain forever in our hearts and souls. We had a great trip! Everything went off without a hitch. The accommodations were great (more pampering at the Queen Victoria hotel than in the bush, so end your trip at the 5 Star hotel!). One of the best experiences of my life.

Sara and Ciara were so helpful and answered any questions we had promptly. They listened to our wishes and revised our itinerary multiple times to accommodate them. The guides and lodging couldn’t have been better. Travel within Tanzania was all taken care of with someone to help us along at every step. Angie with Africa Adventure Consultants helped us plan the most incredible East Africa trip. We never used a travel agent before, but we had limited time to plan our trip and quickly got overwhelmed with the logistics of traveling in Africa. In a shockingly short time, Angie organized a trip that went to all the places we expressed interested in and all the activities. Nothing was missed, even with our tight budget. In the end, we did over spend a bit, but Angie's suggestions were completely worth it. We could not be more satisfied with our trip to Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, and Uganda. We will definitely travel with Angie's help in the future and recommend Africa Adventure Consultants to everyone we know.

Thanks to Kent Redding and Nell Pollack of AAC, my husband and I went on the most wonderful trip to Zimbabwe and Kenya in July 2023! Kent helped me fine tune an itinerary that included a helicopter ride over Victoria Falls, a sunset river cruise on the Zambezi River, a visit to sites in Nairobi, stays at lovely lodges, and safaris at two Kicheche Camps on conservancies in Kenya. Robin Torres of The Travel Society did a great job helping us arrange flights, which all went off without a hitch. We appreciated how communicative Kent, Nell, and Robin were whenever we had questions and details to work out prior to leaving. My husband and I were amazed by AAC's planning that ensured we were met by drivers and guides every step of the way. Not just were the landscape and animals breathless and magnificent, the people we met genuinely welcoming, and the food healthy and delicious, our accommodations were comfortable and unique, rides were timed well, and guides were knowledgable and friendly. We are still gushing about how everything went as planned and how much we loved the trip. On safari, watching wild animals in their natural habitat is awe-inspiring. Learning about the land and plants is fascinating. Being in a part of the world where plants and animals are the focus inspires a deep sense of inner peace. At night the lack of lights allows stars and planets to shine extraordinarily brightly, and the lack of noise means the river frogs' "windchimes" provide the music. Heaven on earth! Shout-outs to our guides: Simon in Nairobi, Dickson at Kicheche Camp in Ol Pejeta, and George at Kicheche Camp in Mara North. Though this was a "trip of a lifetime," we left wanting to go back. I'd definitely call AAC to plan another trip. If I could give 10 stars I would--our trip to Africa was one of the best experiences of our lives.

Wonderful trip to South Africa and Rwanda. Diana at African Adventures planned it all for us. Seamless from start to finish. This was our 5th trip to Africa and my favorite. The gorillas were amazing.

We initial took our first trip with AAC to Tanzania for an African safari. Ou consultant Hilary did such an outstanding job, we had her set up a trip to Antarctica for us. It included several days in Ushuaia, Argentina and a 7 day small ship cruise where we landed on the Antarctica continent and walked among the penguins and seals. One day we spent half an hour watching whales diving, breaching and blowing! It was a once in a lifetime adventure. We are now planning our next trip with Hilary and AAC. What an AMAZING trip of a lifetime to Kenya planned for us by Diana at Africa Adventure Consultants. She was so knowledgeable, explained what to expect before we went, and ensured we always know who would greet us, what everything would cost, local culture tips, etc. Highly recommend!!!!

Hilary W. is such an experienced travel specialist. She helped us plan our 9 day stay in South Africa and in Zimbabwe. The company helped organize all transportation, lodging, and activities for our 3 days in Cape Town, getting to our Safari, and our 3 days in Victoria Falls. We're pretty well traveled but like to use planners for our first visit on big trips so as not to have uncertainty and not waste time since who knows how long it'll be since we go back. AAC made sure we hit ALL the important points and made sure we had an enjoyable experience. Can't wait to go back to experience the great migration or another African country with them in the future. And they don't just do Africa!! Check them out because you won't miss a beat anywhere with them planning it out for you :)

I originally reached out to a few agencies that specialize in Africa. Sara Stark from Africa Adventure Consultants contacted me. She was extremely patient in the time I took to make a decision. I had a few things on my "to do" list (gorilla trekking & Giraffe Manor) and left the rest up to her. Sara created a dream itinerary that I couldn't refuse! We just got back 2 days ago ... everything was PERFECT! There was zero left to chance or guessing. Sara arranged someone to meet us every step of the way (and most were AMAZING). We even had people meeting us where I didn't expect it (at the airport and whisked us through everything). I cannot saw enough about Sara Stark and Sean Tilson with their immediate responses to all questions. I'm calling them for my next African adventure!

Beware. Use another agency. You can't count on AAC when you need them. We booked our lifetime dream trip to Africa safari camps with AAC. The covid pandemic hit and the camps closed. When we needed AAC they put their interest way ahead of ours. When it became obvious they could not provide the trip we asked for refund. They offered us either a later date at more money or we could cancel and they would keep our deposit. We offered a very reasonable compromise but no, if we didn't cancel by their deadline, they would keep the entire amount. We cut our losses and "canceled" so not to lose the entire amount. A reputable company would have refunded the entire amount. AAC was deceptive, did not act in good faith, and it turned out they weren't legally licensed so sell travel in our state.

We have just returned from our second safari with Africa Adventure Consultants and this week will be planning the next. Our first, Kenya-Tanzania, was easily one of the greatest trips ever for us -- but the second, to Zimbabwe, was its equal. AAC absolutely nailed every detail, created a trip perfectly tailored to our interests (scenic, wildlife and cultural) and firmly locked in our trust as an organization we would not hesitate to recommend to anyone considering a trip to Africa. We love too that the company is committed to philanthropy, partners with organizations making a difference in the lives of both the people and wildlife of Africa, and that our trips play a role in supporting these efforts. We experienced this first-hand in Zimbabwe, which made the safari not just a great wildlife viewing experience, but a deeply rewarding journey for all of us.
