Food were great! The bean patty of the vegetarian burger was sooooo good! The beef looked ordinary, but it definitely used some unique spices that is uncommonly seen in HK. Got beetroot latte, slightly sweet. Should have tried some African coffee or tea instead. Also love the African wooden decors and art pieces. Got window seat, so enjoyed some sun indoors too :)

Breathtaking view. Lots of African deco. Friendly owner. Excellent coffee. Those pretty much sum up my experience. Visited Monday morning when the scene was still quiet. I had the pleasure to chat with owner Charlene to understand the history and vision of her business. The philosophy of the shop wasn’t a gimmick but the owner’s passion of promoting African culture in HK… and vice versa as an HK ambassador for Africans. Through coffee, food, and arts. The half hour conversation was inspiring and enjoyable. The food menu interested me; unfortunately, I had a plane to catch. Will certainly revisit during my next trip.

Okay, so second time visiting here. What can I say but that the food is incredible and the service better. Had the beef curry, which was delicious and tender. Got the privilege of trying samples! 😃 Shout out to Noel, who graciously served my family a feast! The food is worthy of praise, and the service is the best I’ve ever had. Hands down visit this place whenever you can! 🤩🤩🤩

Service: Arrived alone at around 2pm. Restaurant was around 30% full. Staff asked me to choose between the bar table and seats by the window (didn’t indicate which table at that time). There were 2 empty tables by the window, one 2- person and one 4-person table. Seeing that the 2-person table was still dirty with nothing set up on it (unlike some other tables), naturally I chose to sit at the 4-person table. Then, a staff came over and told me that they actually wanted me to sit at the 2-person table instead. At the same time, he used his hand to wipe away dirt on that dirty 2-person table. Not wanting to upset the owners and destroy my mood, I offered to change to the smaller table. I thought there would be quite a number of customers coming in later on, while there were actually NONE by the time I left. While I was having my food, staff came over from time to time to take away empty dishes, which was originally normal and helpful. However, one staff asked if I was still having my food while my plate was very obviously only half finished - around 50% left on the plate. I was by no means slow (I immediately started eating after food arrived!), and there was absolutely no rush to take my dishes. I was just replying a quick message on my phone. Why so pushy? Food: Soup was nice. Main course felt like it was poorly warmed up (probably just microwaved - the plate was unnaturally hot while food was only lukewarm). I was warned that the plate was hot and be careful with it. Warming up food was acceptable - I wouldn’t expect everything to be cooked from scratch immediately, but food overall tasted very bland - flavour and texture wise. My coffee ‘dirty’ was surprisingly nice, though. Overall, disappointing, the only plus was the view and the soup/coffee.

This place is a hidden gem at Wong Chuk Hang: great food, lovely atmosphere and really good coffee (one of my favourite places to go for a fancier lunch). Today I ordered a lunch set, which came with rice & beef stew, hot soup and a cappuccino. The soup was quite flavourful, and I appreciated the letters ACT drizzled on top (full marks for presentation)! The beef stew was very tasty, coming with a side of veggies & beans, which was pretty good too. I like that the rice was really soft too, since rice served in certain HK shops can be quite hard for some reason... The cappuccino was the star of my meal!! I always appreciate a good cup of coffee, and this particular cappuccino was pleasantly fragrant and very smooth to drink. Overall, 10/10 would come again 👍

The menu has good variety with plenty of veg options. We weren't blown away by the food and drinks, but they were decent. The veggie rolex was nutritious and had a nice kick, but was also quite messy and too hot to hold at first. Great view from the big windows. The restaurant is in a rather unexpected location in an office building. I suspect the novelty factor adds a few tenths of a point to the average rating here. Wouldn't make a special trip but would probably try it again if in the area.

Returning to Africa Coffee and Tea after a year, the anticipation was akin to reuniting with an old friend. The experience? It's great as usual. The moment you step into Africa Coffee and Tea, you're greeted by an ambiance that's both vibrant and inviting, a perfect prelude to the culinary journey ahead. The food is a bold statement to authenticity. Daring to order the original spiciness is not for the faint of heart, but for those seeking the genuine flavors of Africa, it's a must. It's a culinary adventure that takes your taste buds straight to the heart of the continent. And why would you settle for anything less? If you're not here for the authentic African experience, you've missed the point entirely. The coffee is nothing short of excellent. A high-quality washed medium roast that harmonizes with the robust flavors of the curry dishes, it's a testament to the careful curation of their menu. Each sip feels like a warm embrace, enhancing the flavors of your meal. The atmosphere is charged with positivity, complemented by waiters who are not just friendly, but genuinely fun. They're the kind of people who remember your face, your favorite dish, and yes, they'll offer you that coveted window seat when the opportunity arises. Africa Coffee and Tea isn't just a restaurant; it's a contender for 'Best African Restaurant in Hong Kong,' at least to my taste buds. It's a place where every visit feels like a celebration, every meal a feast for the senses.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟five stars all the way!!! This place is totally worth the trip out, especially if you’re looking for a cafe where you can lock in and get a couple hours work done. The space was HUGE, with massive windows overlooking a stunning view of the harbour. It was beautifully decorated with different pieces of art from African artists, and there were multiple other rooms that ACT owns in case you want to host an event there. The menu was AWESOME. I got the Rolex with chicken, a flat white, and later on, the Malawi loose leaf tea pot. Wowww. Every single thing was incredible and made with such care! Thank you, ACT!

I came here on a Friday lunch break about 1230. There was only about 4 tables there. By 1/130pm there was a line out the door since the place is not big. I believe Office people come here to grab lunch and go. The food was pretty tasty but not super hot. The food came out before our coffees so that means everything is pre-made which would be ok if not for the price and if you are sitting in to eat. There was no host when I first got there so I just took a seat in front of a nice view but was asked to move twice because there were bigger parties that called later to book a table and I was only a table of 2. I think this place could be a lot better if they weren't under staff as you had to go up a few times to remind the staff about our coffee or try to get some water.
