We were three adults to stay at this African Vacation Lodge for two nights, and were well received. We stayed in one of the round houses. It was clean, scarcely but nicely furnished, with abundant room for all of us, comfortable and clean beds with mosquito nets. There were bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, with shower and hot water, clean.|| We ate at the restaurant breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was simple and good, we especially enjoyed the local food. Also the Italian dishes, with the exception of the lasagna (dry, inedible!) were ok. The service was always very friendly and forthcoming, the staff at the restaurant spoke English, and with a few words of Amharic you won their hearts.|| The surroundings were well kept, beautiful flowers and trees, nice paths to have a walk, a fine pool and a nice beach – very relaxing. Like an oasis in an otherwise hot, dusty and arid area. Lots and lots of different birds!|| The few kilometers from the main road to the lodge were a challenge, but no problem for a proper car – which is a must, if you travel in Ethiopia, even in the capital Addis Abeba. Some people reviewing this location also reproached the sabanjas (guards at the gate) for not speaking English. If they did speak it, they would surely be managing the place! Actually it is very admirable that local people are employed at such an establishment.|| Go there again? – Any time! – Eva
