This is a high-end restaurant at the back of the row of shops on Taras Shevchenko street. Tax + 15%. Kiyma Shashlik 52,000soʻm Chicken Shashlik 50,000soʻm Beer(0.3l) 27,000soʻm The chicken one took about 20 minutes to cook. I prefer kiyma one, and quickly served. The staff helped me remove the shashlik from the skewer onto my plate. The staff seemed to be trained on how to treat customers and how to greet them. The terrace seats were pleasant with the sunshine and the breeze.

The restaurant has a lovely local atmosphere and serves beautifully presented, high-end dishes. However, the portions are very small for the high prices, and there’s an automatic 15% service charge — yet no complimentary bread or even water is provided. It feels overpriced for what you get. On the plus side, they have a selection of local wines and beers. I wouldn’t return, but if you’ve got money to spare and are after a fancy dining experience, it might be worth a try.

First Uzbek restaurant I tried, and I loved the huge menu. The chicken skewer was excellent. The plov and mashhurda were good, though for me (half Mexican) they lacked a bit of flavor. Still, I’ll definitely be back to try more.

Absolutely wonderful traditional Uzbek restaurant in the city center. Familiar dishes with a new taste. Many vegetarian options, you should try their fruit pilaf. Super friendly personnel. Thank you, Mr. Akbarali Panjiev for excellent service. Afsona is certainly worth visiting and bringing guests

First meal in Tashkent and this place could not have been a better place for Uzbek cuisine. Menu has lagman, samsa, shashlik, plov, manty. Ambience is lovely and the interior is beautiful. Great service as the staff are courteous and attentive. Although we went off peak, food took awhile to be served.

Delicious traditional Uzbek food and dishes with creative and tasty contemporary twists such as a Fruit Plov, which my friends said was very good. I had vegetable Hanum- it was delicious and had a nice tomato/garlic sauce with it. Very nice setting with indoor and outdoor dining. Prices are very reasonable. Come here when you are in Tashkent!! Ali was very friendly and his English is excellent.

Being an Indian, I love Uzbeki food. And Afsona has Uzbeki food with a modern touch. Loved the Laghman, beef stew along with the bread, cheburek. Service was brilliant. Wonderful ambience.
