Agafay Desert (Désert d’Agafay)

A beautiful and unique desert experience just outside Marrakech. The landscape is rocky rather than sandy, but it still feels magical. The camel ride was a peaceful and scenic way to take in the surroundings, while the quad biking added an adrenaline rush. The highlight was the dinner at sunset, with stunning views and a great atmosphere. The evening show with traditional music and performances made it even more special. Overall, a great mix of adventure and relaxation—definitely worth a visit!

We found a tour on the Getyourguide app. The tour included a camel ride, mint tea, quad bike ride, dinner in a Berber camp , sunset in the desert then fire show, dance around the fire with Berber live music . It is a must do, one of the lifetime experience. We liked that ,the people from all around the word danced together . It was uplifting. It was very good value for money. We paid around 600 MAD for all of the above for 2 adults and one child. They picked us up at 15:00 and we got back to Marrakech around 22:30.

Went on great trip, with camel ride! Definitely a trip to remember! Very dry no water to be seen, just like a real desert! Did not disappoint!

This was such an amazing experience!! We went with a family of four, two children aged 5 & 3 and we all had a great time. Special shoutout to Hussain our tour guide who was the best!! So informative and friendly. Food was delicious, fire show was great and the views were 10/10. Cannot recommend this enough!

The Agafay desert is located thirty kilometers in the South of Marrakech and extends over several hundred acres. This rocky desert, can be likened to a sand desert. Indeed, its white dunes stand and landscape are similar to the Sahara dunes. In the middle of the desert, is a surprising oasis, a haven of peace and tranquility, where the fauna and flora can easily develop. In this paradise, frogs and turtles live peacefully in the oueds, surrounded by water and rocks. Lost in the dunes are still some Berber villages that continue to exist in this austere but sublime nature.

Superb experience! We loved every bit of the tour we did starting with the camel ride, the quad biking on the dusty paths, the food, the music and the fire show. Excellent value for money

This is an interesting area which should every Tourist staying next to Marrakech give a try. Here you can have a Camel ride or can rent a Quad for excursions. But you can only reach it by private transport. The streets are small and uncomfortable. You will find some Berber trying to animate you for a Camel Ride or for pictures.

Agafay Desert is definitely worth a visit! The stunning landscape sets the perfect backdrop for camel riding and quad biking adventures. The combination of thrilling activities and breathtaking scenery makes it an unforgettable desert experience.
