Agave Azul Winter Springs

​I recently visited Agave Azul Winter Springs and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is modern and upscale, making it a great spot for both a casual meal or a nice night out. ​The Food: The menu offers a fantastic variety of authentic flavors. I ordered the Enchiladas (the Enchiladas Verdes are a must-try with their fresh tomatillo salsa and perfectly seasoned chicken tinga) and they were incredible—generous portions that really satisfy. I also had the Agave Burrito, which was packed with fresh ingredients like guacamole and pico de gallo, then topped with a delicious queso and salsa roja. Everything tasted fresh and high-quality. ​The Service: The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was attentive, energetic, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. It’s clear they take pride in their hospitality. ​Overall: Between the vibrant atmosphere, the excellent service, and the delicious food, this has quickly become a local favorite. Whether you're sitting in the roomy bar or on the shaded outdoor patio, you’re in for a great meal. I’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful experience at Agave Azul this evening! Our waitress, Daniella, was fantastic. She was energetic, attentive, accommodating, and overall had a very positive attitude which I am sure rubs off on all who come in contact with her! The food was delicious and portions were good too. We had queso blanco for an app and a veggie quesadilla, street tacos, and nachos libre for the main course. We sat outside because it was wayyy too loud inside which is why I gave lower stars for the atmosphere but outside was nice. Overall we enjoyed everything and will return!

I've been coming here since they opened and each visit has been outstanding! The service is consistently impeccable, with attentive staff that make you feel right at home. Managers are very attentive as well. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. Today, my server was Bella, but most of the time I get Felipe as my server. This place is a true gem, and I can't recommend it enough.

Great quality in gastronomy and service. I love the outgoing, very attentive, good vibe of Javier the bartender at the Bar. Keep it up like that!…the drinks were perfectly paired with the meal and experience. Thanks to some great staff that make up the dining experience another level of goodness, even though another bartender (one with glasses) completely ignore us as we were trying to get his attention. Overall highly recommended.

12/14/205: Update: This restaurant has officially become one of my weekly favorites. The atmosphere is warm, family-friendly, and consistently welcoming. It’s always very clean, and the Christmas decorations were beautiful and subtle — the perfect festive touch. I’ve tried several drinks, and my favorites so far are the Mayan Ritual and Como La Flor. The food continues to impress — the salmon has a delicious sweet finish, the stuffed jalapeños are amazing, and the queso dip is always a must-have. Everything I’ve tried has been consistently excellent. The service is another big reason I keep coming back. Justin, my favorite bartender, is always friendly and spot-on with recommendations. Valentina is a great server with a warm attitude every time. Felipe does an excellent job as a food runner, and Lalo is always helpful and attentive on the floor. Jeida is a welcoming hostess and starts each visit with great energy. I also want to highlight Christian, the Assistant Manager. He’s always moving with purpose — staying organized, supporting the team, helping customers the moment they arrive, and keeping everything running smoothly during busy hours. His leadership and hustle really stand out. Ariel, the General Manager, also keeps the place running efficiently and is always great to talk to. You can tell there is strong teamwork between management and staff, which makes the dining experience consistently reliable. Every visit feels welcoming, and I’ve even started bringing more friends so they can experience the restaurant too. Adding photos from my recent drinks and meals! 11/9/2025: I had an excellent experience at Agave Azul Mexican Restaurant – Winter Springs. From start to finish, everything was outstanding. I started with the fresh guacamole, which was delicious, super fresh, and served with warm chips. A perfect way to begin the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the medium-well churrasco with shrimp, and it was truly amazing. The steak was incredibly tender, the shrimp were perfectly seasoned, and the sides — white rice, black beans, fried yuca, and the creamy cilantro–garlic sauce — were all full of flavor and perfectly prepared. I also tried the tres leches, which was very good, although the entrée was definitely the highlight of the night. The service was excellent. My server, Valentina, was very attentive, friendly, and always smiling. Both managers introduced themselves and chatted with me, but Christian really stood out. Christian stopped by my table multiple times throughout the night, checking on every part of the meal — the appetizer, the entrée, and the dessert. He was very friendly, conversational, and genuinely attentive. His warm attitude and professionalism made the whole experience feel especially well cared for. Ariel was also very kind. He came by twice, introduced himself, chatted briefly, and explained parts of the menu. He mentioned that the churrasco was one of their best dishes — and he was absolutely right. He also recommended a drink, even though I wasn’t having alcohol that night. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, I was treated incredibly well. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

Bella was an excellent server. Good is fresh and amazing as always. Thanks also for the mainstream music. Nothing worse than cliche themed music in a Mexican restaurant.

Felipe truly went above and beyond his role to make my wife and I feel special and turn our night into the best date night we’ve had in a long time. Every request was handled with care, professionalism, and a genuine desire to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. Service like this is rare, and it makes a huge difference. If you’re coming to Agave Azul, ask for Felipe—this is how great service is done.

I visited Agave Azul Cocina Mexicana in Winter Springs and had an amazing experience. I sat at the bar with friends and was greeted warmly by the host -- quiet but very polite. Justin, the bartender, helped us right away, offering menus and recommending drinks based on what we like. Both managers stopped by to explain some of their signature cocktails, which truly helped us decide what to order. Throughout our visit we tried several drinks -- the Mayan Ritual, Como La Flor, Rico Suave, Piña Negra, and even a virgin Piña Colada that isn't on the menu. Every single one was excellent. For food, we ordered the churrasco with shrimp (delicious!), guacamole with chips, and churros. Everything came out fresh and full of flavor. Ariel and Christian went above and beyond. You can clearly see the pride they take in their work and their team. The restaurant looks brand new -- spotless, beautifully maintained, and it even smells amazing. Absolutely recommend this location. We'll definitely be back!

We came here over the weekend for a casual lunch with family. They had both indoor and outdoor seating available, we opted for outdoor since it was so nice out! Our server was very pleasant and accommodating to our requests. He was able to answer any questions we had as well! The food came out in a timely manner and was all made to order. Everyone really enjoyed their meals! We did struggle to get refills on our drinks throughout our time here, but we could tell our server was spread thin. Overall we had a pleasant experience here and will definitely be returning in the future!

My family loves Agave Azul, and during my last visit to Orlando in December, we decided to have dinner at this location. As expected, the ambiance, food, and service were exceptional. Consistency is important to me, and Agave Azul continues to deliver. I ordered the Carnitas street taqueros paired with the Oaxaca Old Fashioned--both were outstanding. We even saved room for dessert and enjoyed the Tres Leches. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots.

It was long past time for lunch so I made it for early dinner. I washed my hands in the very pretty bathroom and was quickly seated. Daniela provided me with a jar of water and some chips and salsa to begin my meal. I knew those would start me off right and I ordered the nachos Libre ($15). That plate of nachos comes with half of them topped off with pulled chicken and the other half with ground meat, a dollop of guacamole and sour cream atop lettuce and diced tomatoes in the center. The chips do get a bit soggy with the meats atop them so use your fork to stuff the whole thing into your face... like I did. Daniela provided the jalapeños on the side which were best for me that way. I did enjoy a couple of slices but I have miscalculated with jalapeños before so the precaution this time was needed. The service was wonderful, my meal was spectacular and very filling.

From start to finish, this was an amazing experience. We were greeted by the hostess immediately and were able to secure a booth table. She was very welcoming and pleasant. Similarly, the server was attentive, sweet, and knowledgeable. Our server did not make us feel rushed to make a decision to order or to hurry up and eat and leave. We were not familiar with the menu and she took a lot of time explaining the different options to us. The food is just simply very, very good. The frozen margarita was amazing, made with top class tequila and the appetizers and the Carnitas where are some of the best that I've had. Would definitely recommend visiting! And I will be returning

My friend and I went to dinner on a Saturday night. We arrived around 8, and there were plenty of seats. I recommend going either really early or late because it can get busy and really loud. Service was great. Our order was taken right away and our food came out quick. We ordered queso, enchiladas and a Cali rice bowl. The food was delicious, but it came out a little cold. Overall, it was a good experience, and Agave continues to have some of the best Mexican in Orlando.

My husband and I have dined here many, many times. The food is always served fresh, delicious and with flare; however, today I was somewhat disappointed. Our female server was very sweet, but obviously untrained in the service area. Once again, the music was too loud and we had to ask to have it turned down a notch. Most restaurants that we frequent charge at the most, $11.50 to $14.50 for a double Tito's (Vodka) on the rocks. Agave Azul, at one time, was reasonably priced. They now charge almost $19 for a double Tito's! As with most restaurants today, prices are rising and portions are either staying the same or becoming smaller. It's really very sad! There are many other good Mexican restaurants out there. Time to choose another one!

I have been at Agave azul at a few locations. Seems to always be great quality and upscale; so you get what you pay for here because it does reflect on the prices. I came for lunch and they had the burrito on their menu and my son got the taco - they forgot his beans and I forgot I paid for it but I chalk that up as my fault for not thinking to ask about it. The hibiscus agua Fresca is my drink! Salsa and chips are great and service was excellent.

Agave Azul has stepped it up! We had kind of written this place off after too many sub-par experiences a couple years ago, but we decided to try it again twice these past few months and there was definitely a major improvement from our last visits. First, our server (who we coincidentally had both times we recently returned) was really sweet and attentive and took fantastic care of us. Second, the guacamole got way better? Like....WAY better. I'm not sure if they're making it fresh or not, but if this is guac coming out of a bag, they should never ever change their vendor. Our dishes were also better in every possible way than our previous experiences a couple years ago. I ordered a dish dish that I was kind of nervous about that the server recommended, and it was really outstanding. It is beautiful inside, and there is always good music playing. (Side note: Do they ever have mariachi? Because yes please!) If this place keeps it up, it will definitely become the top Mexican place in town.

Her professionalism and positive energy stood out. When ambiance and service align like this, it transforms dinner into an experience. I ordered the salmon and it was so worth it. The veggies were cooked just right and the service was fast. Felipe was our waiter and gave each one at my table individualized attention. He listened to what we wanted and made suggestions. The ambience was nice. Quiet and clean restaurant music was soft where you could enjoy the music but also have a nice conversation.

This venue is quieter and better than some of the other Agave Azul restaurants. The service was fast, thorough, and efficient even at dinner time on the weekend. The food was all served quickly and made with even some of our odd requests. The food was also all delicious, and the drinks were well-made. We can't get enough! My favorite appetizer is the queso or ceviche. The tacos are good portions with great sauces. There are lots of good choices for the kids, too.

Pleasant atmosphere, great Margaritas! The Churrasco was amazing! The guacamole is worth the money so don't skimp! The brisket birria is still our favorite. Maria has mastered her craft of making sure you leave happy! Come hungry because your glass will never empty and the tortilla chips too! Thank you for giving us 5 star service, we will be back soon!

Who doesn't love good tacos and margs? I love me some Agave Azul. This was my first visit to the Winter Springs location. I loved it! Ambiance, decor, food, drinks... all great! Definitely recommend, 10/10.

Beautiful restaurant, we got bella as a server and she was just lovely. The food was on point, very flavorful. I would come back again and tell my friends and family about this restaurant. AMAZING!!!! BRAVO!!!!

I have celiac. Read the reviews on Find Me Gluten Free before going so I knew what to ask. Pro's: Waitress seamed knowledgeable about the kitchen (explained the shared fryer) and was willing to ask the kitchen when she didn't know (ie, were the plantain strips gluten free) Shrimp ceviche without the plantain chips was delicious, and I feel fine (4 hrs after eating) Cons: Tortilla chips are fried in a shared fryer so I couldn't have any with the salsa Guacamole is labeled gluten free, but since the tortilla chips are cross contaminated with the fryer we couldn't order Menu became pretty limited after understanding the shared fryer Wouldn't eat here again given the price and limited options unless I was going with someone that really wanted to eat here. So much could be solved if they simply had a separate fryer for gluten free items. If that happened, I would totally come back.

I get why they won the title of Best Mexican Restaurant! I loved the decor and the vibe was quite nice. I had an early dinner here with my partner and his brother and we were able to catch up since the music wasn't too loud. Our server, Yris, was also very welcoming and friendly! She recommended the Nachos Libre to share and the Birria Brisket as an entree. When we ordered our food, we didn't expect our food arriving so quickly! The short wait time was definitely a plus! We did end up ordering the Nachos Libre and I really appreciated that each chip was topped with either ground beef, chicken, or refried beans so that we can pick and choose which type of protein we wanted with each bite. I also ordered the Birria Brisket as my entree and they definitely delivered. There was plenty of brisket within each taco and the guajillo broth was perfection! I had a few bites of my partner's Cali Rice Bowl and the chicken was moist and seasoned to perfection, and the rice was so delicious! 10/10 would recommend!

never again! from the server who messed up my bill and had to redo to horrible food. I ordered the chimichanga with grilled chicken. the food came out and not hot plus I could not cut it. I had to tear it apart to try to eat. I left more than half my order. it was too doughy. I have been there many times before and had the same order several times and a lot better. our server messed up and i had to pay times. the first bill was refunded back to our checking account. I never look for a free meal but today certainly warranted it. we took another couple with us as we have always done in the past. I AM DONE! NEVER AGAIN! no pictures being posted. i5 is a wate of time.

Love the vibe! Listen, I've been coming here for years, even before it was called Agave Azul and the food has always been good. Me and a coworker came here after work on day for some drinks and foods. We made it to happy hour with 4 mins to spare and the server was on it! The happy hour is pretty decent and the two margaritas I had were delicious! The empanadas and esquite offered at happy hour were so flavorful! We ordered the churrasco to split with yuca fries and rice and beans. The meat was perfectly cooked, the yuca fries were perfectly crispy and as a person that doesn't eat a lot of rice and beans, that was tasty as well! They played good music that wasn't too loud so you could hold a conversation with someone across the table. I will keep coming back here. It's a great place to go with your friends or with your mom!

Agave Azul is a whole vibe! Been here multiple times. The place looks amazing and has a great, energetic atmosphere. We got the queso fundido with chorizo to start, and it was ridiculously good. For mains, the birria tacos were tender and came with a fantastic, rich consommé for dipping. The margaritas are the real deal, too..clearly made with fresh ingredients, not a sugary mix. It gets incredibly busy, especially on a Friday night, so be prepared for a wait and a high energy level. Because it was so packed, our server was a bit stretched thin, and we had to flag them down a couple of times. Still, the food and drinks came out reasonably quickly and were delicious. A solid choice for modern Mexican food and a fun night out.

Strip mall restaurants are making a cool comeback. So pleasantly surprised by this place. I've driven by it a bunch but finally tried it on a Tuesday afternoon with hubby. The portions for the taco Tuesday were definitely small and not worth $12. They should be more like $8/9 at most because they are mini but they have great flavor. If you aren't getting appetizers and a drink it's not going to fill you up - just fyi . Margarita was a little on the weaker side. Also not worth the pricepoint . The queso and the churros on the other hand hit the spot and are delicious !!

By far my favorite Mexican spot in Orlando. I love the Ancho rubbed steak Burrito! Pro tip get it without the red salsa or have it on the side. The interior chic and service is always attentive and friendly.

Gone here throughout the years since I was a Kid and my brother used to work here. Food has been consistently delicious and made fresh! Service here is always good as they answer any questions we have, ask about any allergies and are quick to deliver food and refill anything like chips and water. Each restaurant has its own little theme and it is always perfect for a night out or for casual dining. I would recommend here every time for Mexican food!

I've been here many times. The decor is nice and the food never disappoints. We were a party of 8. The waitress was pleasant and knowledgeable about dishes on the menu. After our order was taken, drinks were refreshed and more chips and salsa were replenished. I ordered the chimichanga plate. It came with a decent sized chimichanga with queso cheese, rice and a small side salad with guacamole. It was good. Everyone else also enjoyed their meals.

Great local spot- the ambiance is always chill, the food is great and Javier and Maria were great at the bar- Maria he made the best espresso martini. Super yummy, we will be back!

I am so new to the area and this was my first time going to Agave Azul in the evening and it did not disappoint. The music was amazing. The decor was amazing. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. But most of all Felipe was awesome! 10 out of 10 stars and I highly recommend!

Our waitress was Eliana and she was great. She attended to our every need and made sure our drinks were full and we were satisfied with our order. The menu selection was great and the food was very good. We will definitely go to agave Azul again. Both locations on Red Road and in Winter Park.

I've eaten at several locations now and it is always consistent! Excellent service, excellent food, and love the atmosphere! Plenty of choices on the menu and the chips w/salsa are always fresh! We ordered Street tacos w/ rice and beans and Grilled Salmon w/ rice. Fantastic!

I love having Agave Azul in Winter Springs! It's a great place to bring a group or just have a casual dinner with a buddy or partner. The food never disappoints nor do the servers. Everyone is always friendly and provides excellent service in this awesome and upbeat location. During my most recent visit, I brought a family member who was visiting from out of state. We enjoyed some fresh salsa and guacamole with plenty of chips to get started. The salsa was complimentary and is always plentiful. They will refill for free! The guacamole is a must as it's one of my favorite bowls of guac in Orlando. As far as entrees go, there's no wrong move but you'd be remiss to skip out on some tacos. The Baja fish are my favorite. All in good company with some margaritas or sangria!

Agave Azul offers a modern take on traditional Mexican cuisines. They've got a few locations scattered throughout Central FL. I had a chance of checking out their Winter Springs location and I must say it's very nice inside. Immediately upon walking in you see the modern bright bar. It's got lots of open space and in my opinion is much more inviting than their other locations such as the one in Winter Park. I also appreciate that this location is much more laid back compared to the hustle and bustle of some of their other locations. Our server was very attentive and helpful, there weren't too many customers in there when we went so they're able to give you a bit more attention. Their food truly doesn't disappoint. I got the pancho villa chicken and shrimp and it was delicious. The chicken and shrimp seasoned and cooked perfectly. The cheese sauce on top is the perfect addition. Everything was great. The bottom line, good quality food, good service and some good ambiance. This place is a win for me.

Every time we go to Agave, a great time is had by all. Let's start with the ambiance, whether you choose to dine indoors or outdoors, you're in for a treat. Every dish I've ever gotten has been delicious. From the savory tacos to the mouthwatering enchiladas, each bite is bursting with flavor. My new favorite is the Cancun Summer Salad. The shrimp is grilled to perfection, seasoned so well and generously, the sweet fruit, candied walnuts, and cilantro champagne vinaigrette, just an amazing combo! But my favorite part about this restaurant are the drinks! They made amazing and massive margaritas! They are not too sweet, not too sour, just right, and a variety of flavors to choose from! In addition to their margs, I highly recommend the Rico Suave (watermelon cocktail) and Paloma (grapefruit).

Best Mexican food in the area, I'm not sure what they do with there fajitas but there has yet to been a place nearby that comes close, the service is always good, have had times where I have messed up a order or something and they are always quick to fix and make for me. The vibe inside is also very chill and nice. I'm not sure why it's not 5 stars tbh

We had been to Agave Azul years ago and had a fantastic experience but hadn't been back. We found ourselves over in the Winter Springs area and wanted to go back. The first thing the waitress asked was whether we had any allergies in our group. My daughter has a peanut allergy and the waitress paid special attention to double check the ingredients of each menu item to make sure what we ordered was safe. When we ordered something we thought would be fine, she came back to let us know that she checked again and there would be an allergen in the item and gave us alternatives. We were so appreciative of her attention to detail. When our food arrived, it was delicious! We ordered Burria tacos, carnitas tacos, and chicken tacos. Everything was extremely flavorful! Truly the food was great but it was the above and beyond service that will bring us back again!

We've never had a bad experience at this location. It's a pretty restaurant with lots of seating and fantastic service. They give you free chips and salsa which is a plus and have a great happy hour. Plus this location isn't packed like the Winter Park locale.

Bites tacos were amazing. Huge portions. Great salsa. Jalapeño with goat cheese were great too with the bacon.

I shouldn't ding them over a bad experience but our last waiter sucked enough to make a point of it. I've got a pretty good tolerance for poor wait staff and bland hospitality since Covid but I just can't tolerate snarky buggery. I'm pretty sure our waiter was unhappy we were there for Taco Tuesday and not the big check he thought we'd be and took it out on us. Whatever the case, it's bad on them for having someone like this working for them. Most anyone else would have given them a one star review for this experience.

We absolutely love Agave Azul! We like the Winter Springs location a lot because it has good parking and you can almost always get a table. Service was good and the restaurant was clean. To drink, I got the Clase Aparte, which was absolutely delicious and served in a beautiful glass. If you love prickly pear, this one is for you. To eat, I had the chipotle tequila shrimp which came with cilantro rice and black beans. I asked for some of the cilantro garlic aioli because it's insanely good. The shrimp were fresh and the portion size was good. Overall, this is a favorite spot of ours and I highly recommend it!
