The Agave Inn was the perfect place for a two-night stay. Our room was extremely clean and well-stocked. It is a small motel with lots of parking options. The lady at check-in was very friendly and helpful. I love the location on North State Street, close to good restaurants, grocery stores, a big book store, and other nice shops. ||I was worried about the noise of traffic on State Street, but it was absolutely quiet between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. I will stay here again.

Nice, clean, comfortable and close to everything in good location 👌🏼 Staff was very nice! Sofa bed is not the best but my son didn't mind it. Also did have to park next door at Kumon but neighbor was safe & only steps away! Oh yes we did also stay in # 9, there was some noise but nothing that kept us up at all! We would definitely stay here again 100%

Perfect stay for my weekend in Santa Barbara, central to downtown, quiet, and friendly. Room was clean and accommodating. Area felt safe and walkable. Parking was good, Katherine was super friendly. Bathrooms were nice and updated bed was comfy.

I've stayed here 4 or 5 times now and it's the perfect little place to stay in Santa Barbara. The rooms are a good size. Always very clean. Very friendly staff. Quiet. Parking can be a little tight sometimes, but its only a minor friction. My family loves it.

We stayed in 1 queen size room for 2 people and it was pretty spacious for us and our bags. The bed was comfy, room was clean, and easy check in and out process! We also had a refrigerator, with bottled SMART waters (to purchase) and a kettle.||We would definitely stay here again for a weekend trip!

The Agave Inn was a lovely place to stay short term. The room was very clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The room doesn't have a kitchenette but does have a fridge and microwave. There are restaurants, takeaways and grocery stores nearby. I would recommend Agave Inn.

Google
I stayed at the Agave Inn when visiting Santa Barbara to cheer my adult son on while he ran an ultra trail race. The Agave Inn is located a mile from the race start, and in a very nice neighborhood about a mile from the Santa Barbara Mission. It's always very expensive to stay in SB, but the Agave Inn is a reasonable option. The room was very clean and the beds and linens very comfortable. There's a Gelson's located conveniently across the street. There was a small table and two chairs where you could eat something. The only negatives were (1) the hair dryer didn't work; and (2) the lack of a coffee pot (there's a pot to boil water and tea bags and instant coffee). My son stayed in a more expensive hotel close to the ocean, and he said my room was much nicer. All in all, I recommend this place.

Google
Booked very last minute for same day so wasn’t sure what to expect. We were all very excited to see a great room, very clean and spacious, and good bathroom. Will definitely be recommending it to family and friends when a place to stay is needed.

Yelp
I stayed here with my family of 5. We stayed in the room with 2 double beds, a sofa bed and a kitchenette. It was extremely clean, super cute and reasonably priced. The beds were comfortable, the staff was extremely friendly and the location was great! We will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Room was nice. It was clean, had a fridge, microwave and table. My only disappointment was that they don't have enough parking for all the guest. If you don't find parking you have to park in the pet hospital parking lot that's right next door but you have to move your at 8am or you might get towed. We had parking in front of our room but we made the mistake of going to get donuts after 830pm and when we came back there were no more parking spaces left. We parked next door. We had to get up early to move the car to make sure it doesn't get towed. We were not able to park back in the Agave parking lot since everyone was still sleeping we had to check out early. Which was a bummer because I wanted to sleep in and not wake up early.

Yelp
I love this tiny gem! Sweet motel with tons of charm. Super clean, good prices, great location, parking, and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again. I wish all the rooms had a king size bed. Queen is too small for 2 ppl. See my pictures for the real review!

Yelp
Quick one-night stay before moving our daughter out of her dorm. Not fancy, just motel style, but It was affordable, quiet, clean and comfortable. Colorful Mexican accents. Just 2-1/2 miles from the heart of State Street. Friendly self check-in. Recommend and would return.

Yelp
Noisy hell hole. I posted here a few months ago and my one star review mysteriously changed to four stars. Stay away unless you like listening to blathering boom box playing idiots.

Yelp
Located on the busier end of State Street, Agave Inn is a great little spot if you just need a place to rest. Stayed here for a second time most recently in January 2023. They have since changed up their locks to make them more secure with codes instead of keys (which, let's face it, people can make copies of keys). So happy to have gotten the last room here for $150 for a queen bed, which is cheap by Santa Barbara standards. I had paid $100 more the previous night since I was stranded by the latest mudslides and floods in SB and couldn't go home for a few days. There is no Keurig or coffee maker, but there is a kettle and Starbucks instant coffee. There is however a mini fridge and microwave! I didn't bother with the TV. Parking is out front of your room or around the corner. There's a decent neighborhood restaurant to walk to for breakfast and a pretty cool bar you can walk to at night. Comfortable beds, and the only noise I could hear was the traffic from State Street. The clean cheerful rooms are on the smallish side but let's face it. You don't come to SB to sit in a room. Since this spot sits up from the street a bit, there was no flooding in the parking lot during the storm which was a bonus!

Yelp
No privacy, Cameras everywhere, we were sitting on a bench outside covered area, Their is a camera starring straight at us, when u walk down the hallway Cameras are monitoring you . The place looks like an old shotty motel they tried to upgrade. Way overpriced

Yelp
This is our second time staying at the Agave Inn, the last time was a couple of years ago and it's just as great. It's an affordable, quiet, clean place to stay in Santa Barbara. We love the colorful decor and the staff is friendly. We always eat breakfast at Renaud's bakery which is across the street near Gelson's. They have fresh baked pastries and great coffee.
google avatar

Yelp
Not bad at all! We stayed for a two night visit and we're surprised and pleased by the location, cute room and supernice staff! A reasonable price for usually outrageous Santa Barbara! Clean room , comfy bed and free parking! Thanks so much and we will see you again soon!

Yelp
We had a wedding to go to before check-in time but I called to see if we could get in early at all. They called back in about a half hour and let me know we could check in 4 hours early. Sweet as!!! The room was cool and as pictured. The bed was good. Just a warning, if you get back to the room late they make you park in the business next door, but you have to move your car into the neighborhood by 8:30 in the morning, you have been warned.

Yelp
Comfortable and quiet. Not near the main strip on the beach, but it is a very short walk to Trader Joe's, Grocery Outlet, and several coffee houses. As such, it is good for travelers on a budget in the otherwise expensive Santa Barbara world. My only complaint is the parking: there are more rooms than parking spots. If you arrive late, you might be forced to park next door at an office that only allows parking until 08:00 the next morning. The risk of not finding a parking spot is not hypothetical: we stayed for one night, and the Agave Inn parking was all full around 5 or 6pm.

Yelp
All the stars go to Wendy! (However, the inn itself was exactly what we needed. Clean, well appointed, walking distance to restaurants and grocery, fridge, hot water kettle, clean and efficient air conditioner, etc. It is also an easy drive to the cute downtown area, waterfront, mountains, mission, and botanical gardens.) Wendy was terrific from the moment we checked in to when we checked out. She went above and beyond for our family, both in little extras and in providing things we needed (like tylenol). This is a friendly, easy place to stay. Highly recommended.

Emily S.

Yelp
Very clean, easy check-in. Parking available in the veterinarian office next door if lot is full.

Yelp
I needed a last minute place to spend the night in SB. So glad I found this funky little inn! I love the fact that it is family-owned and operated. The room rate was very affordable. I appreciated that they kept the mid century vibe (including original doors, built in "telephone nooks", etc) while still keeping it clean and updated. Room was spacious, very comfy bed. It was extremely quiet (there was some noise coming from the animal hospital next door, but that stopped when they closed around 5pm). Is it fancy? No. But it had everything I needed and was very cute and affordable.

Deb K.

Yelp
Had an absolutely marvelous impromptu stay here during Fathers Day weekend. Driving up the coast and searching for a hotel/motel/somewhere to rest our heads, my husband and I came across the Agave Inn. Luckily, we arrived in time to snag the last available room. I was initially a little worried because the room was facing State Street but there was no noise to worry about. We slept like rocks! The bed was super comfortable as was the shower and we loved the thoughtful complimentary in-room offerings of Fiji water and cookies from the local French bakery up the street (Renauds Patisserie & Bistro). The woman at the front desk who checked us in was sweet as can be and when we asked about the menu on display, she proudly told us it was her son's Michelin-recommended restaurant, Sama Sama Kitchen. We ended up checking out Sama Sama later that evening and I must say, it was a delight as well! She'd also recommend checking out Renauds Patisserie and it too was a lovely place to pick up breakfast the next morning. On a day that I knew would be a difficult one, I found solace in this sweet family owned motel and I truly can't wait to return.

Yelp
Great experience here!! We booked through Airbnb for a really reasonable nightly rate. Check-in was simple and the ladies working at the front desk were very sweet and welcoming. Our room was spacious and comfy. Decent location.. not walkable to most things, but easy uber rides or drives. I would absolutely stay here again!

Yelp
Rooms are clean and spacious. What you see in pictures is what you get. The lady in the office was super friendly and that's always a plus.

Yelp
Excellent, excellent, excellent! These accommodations were exactly what was posted online and what I needed after a long commute down from Solvang. A clean, spacious room with a queen-sized bed and large bathroom. There was a colorful wall and colorful bed accents. Small toiletries were provided. The bathroom was modern, clean a spacious. Nice hardwood flooring in the room. Reasonably priced comparable to the other inns in the area. Limited parking on the premises but we were allowed to park next door which was within walking distance. I had booked well in advance. There was no issues when I had to change my dates. The lady was very welcoming and check out was a breeze.

Yelp
Clean and cute small motel units. The surrounding is quiet and clean. Friendly staffs. Everything worked in the room. However, they don't provide toothbrush and toothpaste. Also, no vending machine but gas stations and markets are in walking distance.

Yelp
Very polite and Professional! Rooms were clean and Environmentally clean. Everything worked properly. Decor is very cheerful:)Thank you for a great weekend!

Yelp
This small Hotel along State St is darling! Appreciate the nod to mexican and spanish heritage in the decor as well as the artsy touches everywhere :-) Rm no1 on a friday night was a bit noisy for a while however it is right next to the street area on state lol. Lovely owners, very helpful staff, refrig, microwave, hot water pot, starbucks instant coffee. Cute as a button and felt safe. SS

Yelp
Not too shabby for a stay. It's close enough to Santa Barbara without the Santa Barbara prices and I love the brightly painted walls. Pros: -Comfy and clean bed -Free Wifi -Free parking -Refrigerator and Microwave -Complimentary breakfast Cons: -Small Tv -Small bathroom -Can be a bit noisy since you're right off a main road Not really a pro or con, but just personal preference. They have the old-school hotel keys instead of the standard key card that other hotels have. While it was different, I was in a constant panic that I would lose the key since it's so small or that I would forget to lock my room door when I left the property. Again, it didn't takeaway from the experience, but I prefer having key cards for hotel rooms...that way I know it locks automatically when I shut the door and it's easier to stash in my wallet. Front staff was friendly. Would highly recommend if you need an affordable place for a weekend stay!

Yelp
When we first drove in, I was skeptical because it's an older hotel. At check in the staff was very pleasant. The hotel was clean and somewhat updated. Our room was clean and the decor was somewhere between Spanish and mid century modern. Overall no disappointments.

Yelp
Beautiful, clean and quaint. Stayed one night after a horrible nights stay down the street at the Rose Garden Inn. Felt so welcomed and taken care of. Will definitely be back again!!

Yelp
I'm almost afraid to write this raving review, in fear that I'll never be able to book it again. Hands down best lodging deal I've come upon in a while. I fell in love with my room. Drove down from the Bay Area the day before an interview. I picked the smallest unit, perfect for one person, it was unit #1. Located against State Street, you can hear all the street traffic, but sense I sleep with ear plugs, didn't bother me. Everything about this room had so much thought and detail put into it. I would for sure come back here if I get the job and need to go apartment hunting. Parking is limited to one car per room, but they said you can park from 6pm-9am next door at the vet parking lot. After I settled into my room, I hit the area and walked to Gelsons Grocery store to grab some sushi and bananas. The next morning I walked to Coffee Bean, then to Renaud's Patisserie for an almond croissant. The free breakfast provided at Agave Inn had: fruit, muffins, scones, coffee, OJ and hot water. I did sleep well. Brought my pillow with me from home. At night I was a little chilly and set up the floor heater to low and pointed it from the far wall to the bed. Did the job. Across the street is the local bus that will take you downtown. It runs every 20 minutes, lady told me it's about $1.75. Could be relaxing so you don't have to drive. I thought about it, but didn't do much after driving 5 hours the day I arrived. I'm in love with this place and would recommend it to anyone that likes style and affordability.

Yelp
Got a wild hair up our butts and decided to take a trip from Los Angeles to SB. This place is super nice and affordable. Clean rooms, nice shower, and it's got a Spanish feel to it. Customer service is great. They allowed us to check in 3 hours early with no additional fees. Definitely recommend

Yelp
This quiet little Inn on State street is a great option for those looking for an affordable little vacation to Santa Barbara. We checked in around 4pm on a Sunday and the manager onsite upgraded us to the King Suite upstairs. There is limited parking out front but the Inn does have a relationship with the animal hospital next door to use their parking lot for overflow. We got into our room and was pleasantly surprised at how spacious and hip the space was. All the furnishings and appliances are modern with different accent pieces to bring pops of color into the rooms. The rooms have all the standard features of most hotels including, WiFi, cable TV, AC, mini Fridge, microwave, etc. In addition the room was very clean and comfortable. The location is great, just far enough from the partying on State street to get a quiet night's sleep. The walls are a little thin so you may hear your neighbors. Be sure to bring water with you since there aren't vending machines on the site. There is a 711 not far where you can buy drinks or if you are early enough before it closes, a BevMo walking distance. Really enjoyed my stay at the Agave Inn. What seems like a small motel on a main street is actually a really hip and affordable boutique Inn for a relaxing vacation.

Brian G.

Yelp
Room was great. Hard floors instead of carpet which we loved. So much cleaner. Decor was modern and overall the room was nice. Only criticism is it's pretty far from state street downtown. $16 Uber ride. Additionally, parking is tight. Other than that great experience

Yelp
In among the reviews of motels in Santa Barbara with roaches, bedbugs and dirty rooms stands this jewel of a motel. My work had me stay over night and I was lucky enough to find a room at this wonderful clean place to stay. The beds are are so comfortable I did not get up all night and nice hot water in the morning. The only downside was the parking is a little small but you can park in the business next door as long as you move before they open. If I have to stay overnight night again I hope I will be able to find a room available here again.

Yelp
We stayed here one July 4th weekend, really to beat the cost of otherwise expensive hotels in the area. You pay for what you get, not bad but not stellar. The rooms were clean and the decor was fun, but there really wasn't much else to the room. Parking is easy, check in process super easy and staff very friendly also. I think the biggest downfall was they had zero toiletries to offer. Other hipster motels in the area provide you with shampoo, condition, lotion, hand soap basics and even tissue, but this place only gave us shampoo - and very little of it. We had to run to Target down the street to get supplies. The towels were smaller, older also and the bed was super uncomfortable. The location is also so-so. Our room was in the middle of the building so we didn't hear a lot of street noise, but it is right off the main drag of State Street. It's also 8-10 minute drive or Lyft ride to downtown. You'll be fine staying here if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room (we didn't so why it was fine for the short visit).

Jennie S.

Yelp
We were miserable tent camping during the "atmospheric river," and the bargain price at the Agave Inn convinced us to pull up stakes. The kindest lady at check in, a sparkling and well-thought out room, great location! The traffic on State Street is busy, but I don't mind city noise, and you can stay further back than we did in room 2
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely loved this hotel and was glad for the honest Yelp reviews that led me away from other spots, right to the Agave Inn. Let me tell you about my experience. It is located close to downtown and pretty much everything. There is cute restaurants, shops, a Whole Foods, fuel all close by as well. The staff was kind upon check-in. You can park right at the door or your room if you get there early enough. The room was clean and decorated very cute! The shower was a two headed rainfall shower that was lovely. The room was quiet and felt safe. In the morning they put out coffee & snacks. The bed was uncomfortable to me. Maybe you'd love it. Would highly recommend. Great value!

Yelp
First impressions are super important. My first impression of this place is that it's a bit of a dive. They have a complementary continental breakfast from 8 - 11 am. That consisted of dry muffins oranges, apples, bananas, bad coffee and some juice. The towels in the room were really small. The room was simple and clean. it had a mini fridge, air conditioning, television, iron, blow dryer and an alarm clock. The parking situation wasn't all that bad, they don't really have enough for all the rooms and at night when it's filled up you can park in the lot next door until that business opens. There is nothing special about this place it is just average, about as average as you can get. As far as location it's not bad at all. It's close to the freeway and some services. About a 5 min drive downtown. The WiFi was good.
google avatar

Micah E.

Yelp
Very quiet and comfortable sleep (loved my bed). Within walking distance to several food spots, markets and shops. Room was very clean, check-in was smooth, building is a bit dated but that adds to it's charm. Would definitely stay again.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay here. If you're looking for a quaint, quiet, budget-friendly hotel to rest your head after wine tasting in Santa Barbara, this place can't be beat! It's slightly off the beaten path (about an 8 minute Uber ride from the Funk Zone), but it's in a cute area all its own. Our room was immaculately clean, comfortable, and had everything we need. They also nicely provided a free continental breakfast and coffee in the morning, as well as free WiFi. I will be recommending this spot to all my LA friends going up to Santa Barbara for a weekend getaway from now on!

Yelp
I planned a last minute four day trip to SB and luckily Agave Inn had room for us, $125/night for a room with two double beds, a sofa bed, and kitchenette. It was a fair price. The room was upstairs and so it was nice and quiet and we didn't have cars parked up against our room motel style. The room was stylish, comfortable filled with light. The kitchenette has a full set of pans, cooking accessories, a gas stove and oven, half fridge, microwave, dishes, bowls, cutlery, mugs, no glasses but some plastic cups provided. A small coffee maker is provided but I never used it because the inn offers coffee in the morning. We mainly used the fridge for leftovers and microwave to heat up water for tea and leftovers. The bathroom was clean and efficient. The shower had a generous rain shower head AND a handheld shower head. While there was no closet, there was a clothes rack and hangers near the sofa bed. Ax extra comforter and sheets, small ironing board, and iron were there too. We didn't hear our neighbors. Parking was easy. Beds felt firm but comfy at first but then we noticed our bodies sunk in the middle a little more than our feet did, but you get used to it and for $125/night, not a big deal. They also put two reading lamps next to both beds so it's a comfy place to just veg and read! We were grateful there was enough room for us to put two bikes in our room, no problem. One can bike from Agave Inn to downtown SB - State street in 15 min- all downhill. But biking back uphill will take more time. The uptown location in San Roque neighborhood was perfect for my goal of digging into SB like a local during this trip. A 2 min walk away are a few institutions: Harry's Plaza Cafe (saving for next time), Chaucer's Bookstore, and the best Italian restaurant - Via Maestra 42. There's a Gelson's in the same plaza but we would drive to Trader Joe's - 5 min away (also walking distance). There's a great bike service / store 5 min drive away as well- Velo Cycles. Wendy and Suzan at the front desk were warm and welcoming. They allowed us an early check in 1.5 hours before check in time and 1 hour extra for check out, They lay out a complimentary continental breakfast with coffee, fruit, muffins/scones. Housekeeping did a great job. Even the Gardener was awesome - he noticed I dropped my room key and handed it to me! We will definitely be back!

Molly C.

Yelp
Great little hotel! We did the self check-in, and we were in late and out early, so we didn't encounter any staff. They were great though in getting us taken care of ahead of time to be able to check-in late. It is a standard type of room, but it was very clean, nicely decorated, had a great shower, and THE most comfy bed I've ever slept in. It is in a nice and safe area. So glad we found this Inn!

Yelp
The Agave Inn was amazing. From the price, to the decor, to the staff - 5 out of 5 for everything. They greeted my boyfriend and I with a bottle of wine to help us celebrate our anniversary. It was a perfect weekend. We will definitely be staying at the Agave Inn whenever we return to Santa Barbara. Ps - the Uptown Bar a few buildings down is a hidden gem. There's pool, shuffleboard, jenga, live music and a great heated patio.

Yelp
I never like to give a bad review for small establishments, but this place is not at all what I expected from Booking.com. The lady in the office is so sweet and helpful. She is the only reason I'm giving this 3 stars. This is not an Inn...this is a motel with cute decorations. We travel to Santa Barbara every spring break and a couple times in the summer. We decided to try somewhere new this time. I booked two nights, and couldn't stay for the second one due to how incredibly uncomfortable the bed was. Even my 11 year old couldn't sleep on it. Luckily I live in Los Angeles, and had the option to drive back home. When I told them we were leaving, and why, there was no offer to move us or refund any of my money. If they got new beds, this would be a cute place for solo travelers. On the plus side...room was clean, refrigerator and microwave in rooms is a nice touch.

Yelp
This was a wonderful stay. SB mainly has Inns over big name hotels, and despite limited rooms, I'd highly suggest this inn!!! The receptionist was very kind and suggested the cool spots in town. Instead of the average room with 2 beds, my best friend and I opted to include a kitchenette area (full sized fridge) which was only like $30 more. We were more than pleasantly surprised by all the living room space. Closet is large, too. As for the bathroom, sink area was a little tight but shower stall was spacious and modern oversized showerhead. Note: we checked in at night and got drunk, and on Saturday morning, opened the window and to our surpise... there's a giant walrus painted saying TUSK TUSK... that was hilarious to wake up to!

Meghann B.

Yelp
We loved our little stay! Perfect for us, we were in and out downtown and all around. We couldn't be happier! Affordable, great beds, safe, clean!

Yelp
The Agave Inn was such a refreshing place to spend a night in Santa Barbara. As a former UCSB student who lived here, I realized my naïveté in expecting a decently priced hotel in the area that didn't look like it had the potential to be filled with bed bugs until I stumbled across this gem. The room was spacious and decorated with Mexican flare, the bed was huge and extremely comfortable, the bathroom was sparkling clean, wifi worked perfectly the entire time (note that other motels/hotels in the area charge for wifi), there's a mini fridge, microwave, tv and iPod charging station and they provide decent parking and breakfast. It is located right across the street from a Gelson's market, Renaud's Patisserie (one of the best bakeries that you should definitely stop by) and Chaucer's Books and is a quick drive to all the popular shops on State Street and Stearn's Wharf. The manager here is also a total sweetheart and will give you recommendations on places to check out. We stopped by on a slow weekend and were given a free upgrade to a king room. Yes it is a motel, yes I'm sure parking can get bad on a busier weekend for them, I didn't see the queen rooms but did read the other reviews that they were small but I think it's worth noting, at least on the weekend I stopped in, Agave Inn was only $25 more than Motel 6. 100% worth it in my opinion for how much cleaner and cuter this place was.

Yelp
This place is so cute! We were looking for somewhere to stay in Santa Barbara for a couple of days that wouldn't break the bank that was by Downtown Santa Barbara and wasn't in a noisy area. I treasure having a good nights sleep and this place made it happen. Check in was easy and different than other places we've stayed at. We booked our room through Expedia and upon arrival, they asked for our name, wrote out everything and used a calculator to sum up all the numbers. The room was clean and cool. One of our requirements was an air conditioner because I'm not a fan of sleeping with opened windows and my husband gets super warm while he's asleep. One thing I didn't enjoy was the bed. Although I got a good nights sleep, the bed was stiff and the pillows were way too fluffy. They only have a couple of rooms but they don't have enough parking for everyone. Luckily, there's good eateries nearby that you can walk. The breakfast that they provide is okay. It consisted of small muffins, scones, fruits (bananas, apples, oranges), hot coffee and tea and cold orange juice. Also, the wifi was great but not the best. I have AT&T and service was spotty along with the wifi. Would we stay here again? Yeah! But next time, we'll bring our own pillows =]

Yelp
I'd swear this is a Trump owned property. Capitalism at its most avaricious, taking advantage of the opportunity to gouge its customers, while offering merely average service. On a normal day, this motel room would have cost ~$140/nt. But throw in high demand due to UCSB graduation and they nearly triple the rate. I paid just under $800 for two nights for a family of 3! What do you get for that price? Some nice decor, thin walls upstairs, cheap non-dairy creamer and $2 water bottles. I would not recommend staying here at this price. At least other hotels that charge this rate provide nicer accommodations, maybe even a continental breakfast and complimentary water.

Yelp
Great little motel on north State Street. Very clean,,comfortable bed, good lighting and a nice flat screen tv on the wall. The owner is on property and very accommodating. Parking is provided right in front of your room. Great value !

Yelp
Overall the room was okay. Microwave was broken, and once we told them she said after we left it would be fixed which doesn't help the time while being there. Not to mention shouldn't have a broken microwave in the room at all; that should be part of the cleaning process is checking things like that. Air conditioning also did not get very cold, or let out like ANY air and room got pretty hot. I was in a room with 1 king bed and the room next to me had 2 queen beds therefore more people in that room. Both nights could hear the group talking non stop, until about 3 am. Walls were paper thin, at least in the upstairs room. I would request bottom floor next time.... Beds were comfy but overall wish some of a refund or something was offered back due to lack of the room i was given. Room 23 in the middle of 2 other rooms upstairs i would NOT recommend . And when i checked in i didn't know there was rooms with 1 queen bed, just thought it was double beds , and since i was by myself i told them if i could switch since i prefer bottom floor anyways and didn't need a king, and she said i could but couldn't be refunded for the queen room price. My card wasn't charged yet so that was frustrating not willing to accommodate.

Yelp
In the multitude of ripoff places in the Santa Barbara area, we chose Agave Inn for its centrality This was a standard hotel - nothing plush but nothing shabby We had a small kitchenette w/ fridge, stove & microwave, the beds were unremarkable & the bathroom likewise was there only to serve its purpose, nothing special Neighbors could be heard EXTREMELY well through the walls & let's just say the guy beside us was a complete stud & apparently well versed in tantric ways (bring earplugs!) You might want to also consider bringing a sleepy mask - the blinds are not blackout & the streetlight was angled just perfectly to hit me in the face all night Lastly, if you like the strong smell of skunk (the animal, not the plant) this will be the place for you.....not their fault of course, but just saying.... For what we paid, we were expecting much more plush but in comparison to everything else in the area, would have to say it was on par & served our needs
