I purchased my first Agnes b. Shirt in 1984. I have been hooked since. I left NYC and now mostly purchase online. Beautiful fabrics, unique clothing. LOVE LOVE LOVE !!!!!!!

awesome sales people and great skirt! nice quality and the skirt looks ultra decently! My dress was broken in the morning on my way to the MET. Rush into the store and got a good skirt and wore all day comfortably.

I love this clothing and design. I’ve been wearing agnes b. for 40 years, and wondered if the styling would hold up as I got older. Yes it does. The Madison Ave. shop is my favorite. I depend on Rachel’s finding just the thing I’d like best and trust her honest opinion of how it looks on me.

Excellent quality, simple fun and never goes out of style so can wear for many years. I guarantee b/c I am wearing her clothes for 35 years. I love this location b/c Julie always give a friendly great advice! Merci Agnes and everyone making clothes make me feel like myself.

I’ve never seen sales people try and avoid serving customers, I guess they don’t work on commission. It’s like they’re offering the pretty woman experience. I’d recommend messing up stuff in the store a little because it will upset the nasty older lady that manages the shop!

Great sales people! Have changed my shopping habits to this store almost exclusively because of the excellent service, on top of the design of the clothes.

I love this store, both for its clothes and extraordinary staff. CathyAnne and Nina are a great help, have a wonderful eye for what works, and willing to say what doesn't. It is a pleasure to shop for their wonderful clothes - many of which I've had for years, and they never go out of style. An update: In the past two years the sales staff has changed. Sarah manages the store with the help of Rachel. They are all lovely and helpful. It remains my favorite place to shop. Expensive - yes - but their stylish clothes never seem to go out of style. This Agnes B is far better than Soho but nothing like Union Square. Maggie, manager at union square is my go to person for fashion. She gets it right 100 percent of the time! This store is okay but odd little back room. Not very well laid out. Staff is not up to union square standards.

I love agnès b! The staff is very attentive and kind; the style of the clothing is very French, but the employees deliver the sort of friendly service of which Walt Disney would be pleased. The greatest thing about agnès b is that they have a variety of basics that can become the staples of any wardrobe. In a world where a simple tee-shirt without a brand logo emblazoned across the front of the chest has become hard to find, it is a wonder to wander into this mecca of well cut shirts and shells in unadorned colored cotton. Come in to try on a few basics, but be warned that some of the skirts and dresses (all delightfully stylish and French) are irresistible! Don't try to resist. You won't find something you love this much anywhere else!

Great clothes. But wish the salesgirls/manager would let you browse and try on clothes without following you like a hawk, whisking clothes out of your hands as you take them off the rack to start a dressing room, pacing outside the curtain frantically as you get dressed. Relax. Let customers explore, they will buy more - Unless of course they ask for your help, which they know how to do.

Tried this once again after staying away for some time because the sales people were so rude. New sales people but just as rude. I asked a question and was glowered at. She wouldn't even answer me or acknowledge my existence. I was well dressed and polite and used too spend upwards of $3000 a year on this store. Now I go to the web. I think you have to pass the rudeness test to work here. Two stars because the clothes are decent.

I am enjoying the awesome new basic and classic staples for my wardrobe as I am adding to my new collection. My latest piece is an over the shoulder sweater type -scarf that adds so much warmth and style to any outfit in these frigid temperatures. The extra layer is amazingly warm! I think this is a perfect store for creating a beautiful and elegant look for any occasion. From head to toe - a little French flair is noticed in any crowd - and - WOW - it was raining and the manager ran outside to hail a cab for me! Even my hairdresser doesn't do that for me! I feel like family here with friendly service that brings spice to my appearance. The service is outstanding especially when locating my size from another location.

I love Agnès B clothing and wherever I travel, I visit these stores. A few days ago, I was in New York again and had a good time in the Madison Avenue store. I like to look at everything before I decide on anything. And everyone in the store- especially the young man read me well. They let me look to my heart's content. I tried everything I liked on. They gave me plenty of time and I think I bought everything I tried on. I live on the West Coast (Sadly, there is no Agnès B). The man helping me, willingly offered to mail everything to me and to add a top from another store that Madison Avenue did not have in my size. I received everything carefully packed. I also had occasion to deal with the manager of the store when I called to ask to return that top, as it was not quite my style once I saw it in person. She was very helpful and offered options for my return. It was delightful to find friendliness and efficiency; qualities that are becoming rarer. I love these clothes and just wish they'd have a store near me.

I had a terrible experience recently at the store. Personnel rude and offensive. A new sweater that I purchased "pilled" after 1 wearing and the salesgirl and manager were horrible as I TRIED to return it! You cannot imagine how nasty. I will never return to the store and since this is New York City, I am sure that whatever clothing I need I will be able to find easily and with a more professional and responsible service. Would NOT even give 1 star. Be careful if you think you will ever have to return an item to them!!!!!!!! Nice until you want to return something.

I love this brand - their designs never disappoint! People working there are very nice and know so much about collection!They have something for everyone to look your best!

Went into the store for the first time and I was treated so nicely. I believe it was the manager that helped me what a really nice women. She made me feel very comfortable and presented me with great suggestions. The store was very clean and nicely displayed. I don't shop often but will definitely be back.

While I love the clothes and have purchased many Agnes B items from the Madison Avenue boutique over the years, I am totally finished with them. I purchased a cotton jacket and following the label instructions, washed it and the colors totally ran. I took the jacket into the shop and the sales person was totally snippy and made me feel as though I had done something wrong. She never said she was sorry that my jacket was ruined and looked at me as though I was crazy for even thinking they would help me. She finally took a picture of the ruined jacket and told me that someone would contact me. That was the end of July. Of course, I have not heard a word. When I asked her for the manager's name, she refused to give it to me. Her name is Karen. Will never shop there again.

Wonderful service and supremely French clothing. I love the two women who helped me. It'll be hard call between this place and DL Cerney for my lottery winnings.

I like Agnés B for staples with a French flair. However, I will not shop at the UES store again. The manager, a mean-looking woman, hovers over you as you browse and pushes items onto you. She seems affronted if you reject something and can be sarcastic. I recently returned a blouse which did not fit me well. Her response was "it fit you well enough when you bought it." She then to rush me into picking out something else. This hard-sell approach is not becoming of the brand. PS. The earlier reviews paint a different picture of the service at the store. I wonder if there has been a change in staff since.
