I tried to give Agnes another shot from the last time I visited said maybe they were having a bad day. Now today when my husband and I came in I was set in on what I wanted an order of oxtails mac n cheese and cabbage. Well the guy who was at the cashier suggested I get the oxtails and cabbage however I stated that I cannot eat rice so he said we can give a double order of cabbage instead of the rice with side mac n cheese cool so I ordered the samething twice...get home and I am completely baffled bc rice was all through my order!! My husband called to let the same guy who took our order know...he first said they were out so my husband asked could they replace it and he said they were out so how about tomorrow he said to bring it back...this is our dinner might I add this is the same guy who is dry when he talks to you and his customer service is out the window. I'm so disappointed bc I sent over 50.00 and now have to scrape the rice from my cabbage and oxtails. If you're looking for great customer service you're not going to get it here...just the run around literally!!! This is it 1st time shame on them this time shame on me..they lost on customers because I am leaving a BAD review would have gave 0 stars.

North is an incredible chef, the atmosphere was incredible and their new location was great for the 4th of July! The lemonade was definitely something to write home about and my girlfriend got the sliders and she loved them. Will definitely be coming back!

Yesterday was my first time trying the food with my family. We are transplant NY’ers and Jamaican. I googled and saw that there was Caribbean food near to where we had to take care of some stuff. Upon entering we got a pretty dry greeting. Whatever. They just moved locations and understandably it was a nice color and stuff inside. There seemed to be a tour being given to either family or so. Coming from a culinary background that shouldn’t be done during operating hours due to food safety. Were they around the kitchen area with the proper precautions and so forth? So that was a bit uncomfortable but the risk you take eating out right? Now we ordered the Oxtail bowl, jerk chicken bowl and teriyaki jerk wings. Seems like the food was finish to order which was fine. Now I didn’t get a chance to take pictures but what I spent $22 on for oxtail and what came in the plate didn’t add up. The big piece of oxtail was super fatty. The flavor was not authentic Caribbean oxtail. It left a bitter after taste in my mouth. They were very tender though so I give it to them. The review of oxtail posted 2 years ago looked more authentic than what I received yesterday. Moving on to the rice and peas, it wasn’t rice and peas. Like not 1 bit and I’m not sure the grain of rice used but it was unpleasant. The jerk chicken was okay and the wings were just smothered in sauce and okay at best. I learned that they were from NY, Brooklyn to be exact so I was a bit disappointed as we know what the Caribbean food scene is like in NY and the standard. I can say business was consistent, maybe the customers really do love it or there is no competition/comparison. Needless to say I wish them continuous success and hopefully all feedback will be taken into account.

Fantastic food. I enjoyed the plantains and beef pie most. The door to the dining room is west of the corner. Service was fast, making it perfect for lunch.

first time visiting so I had to order a little bit of everything. Food was hot and flavorful, especially the cheesesteak fries WOW. Mac and cheese was a bit too salty but still good. Washed it down with some brown sugar lemonade 🤤. Got the pound cake, yummy and moist. Will return for more

Ordered the jerk chicken bowl with rice and cabbage, a side of macaroni and cheese and a side of fries. I also tried a side of the mango habanero jerk sauce and the regular jerk sauce. The jerk chicken is good, but even better with the jerk sauce. The rice and cabbage go well with the jerk chicken. The mac and cheese was creamy and cheesey. The fries were handcut and tasty. The mango habanero jerk sauce was a little sweeter than the regular jerk sauce, both sauces had a good flavor. I like spicy food and was expecting more heat from these sauces, but they were not very spicy.

the place doesn't look all that special but the food is ok. rice is sweeter than I prefer, different not bad. can't put my finger on it but sorrel is a different kind of sweet kinda reminds me of apple pie moonshine. decent enough portions I'm a pretty hefty dude and for around 24 bucks I got the oxtail, rice and peas, cabbage, plantains, sorrel and a piece of pie plus tip
