Disappointing. While some dishes, like the sea urchin, were very good, others were just average. The real issue, however, arose when it was time to pay.
The bill was presented to us without any itemized details, a practice that, upon reading other reviews, seems to be common at this restaurant. We paid with a POS machine, and to our surprise, we were required to add a mandatory minimum tip of 5%, which was about an extra €17. Of course, we could have asked the waiter to remove it, but that would obviously create an embarrassing situation. Anyway, given the rather high total amount, we asked for a detailed breakdown of the charges. That’s when we discovered a series of incorrect charges that can only be attributed to bad faith.
They had charged us for an extra liter of wine, one dish was inflated by €7 compared to the menu price, the bread for four baskets (the first two of which we didn't even ask for) cost us a whopping €17, and the desserts were €7 each.
We left with the bitter taste of being ripped off. The lack of transparency at checkout seems to be the rule, not the exception. We absolutely do not recommend this place! Be especially careful if you are a large group, as it's easier for them to "round up" the bill—in their favor, of course.
