Met some some friends there for breakfast before the Christmas holiday. Took us back in time, to a simpler, relaxing moment. Excellent food, good value, a d exceptional service. Loved every bite. Ery enjoyable. A true gem!

I have been going by this place for many years. I finally decided to try it. Wow! there food is excellent. Its a nice little dinner and their food is really good. It gets a little busy at lunch but they can get the food out quickly. Everyone is super friendly, they don't take cc so have cash ready. I have had breakfast and lunch their as a takeout both have been really good. I'm not a fan of the the biscuits and gravy, but I'm really picky on my gravy. I bet the cook could make some homemade better. The cook oh boy, you need to sit at the counter and watch this guy cook very impressed. He can flip a egg in the air and not even break it when it comes back down. I tried this at home and what a disaster it was. He is very good at multi-tasking when cooking and very friendly. This place is a gem, please don't move and get bigger.

Great prices and great food! Diner atmosphere with ferry, friendly service. Overall a great place to stop for breakfast or lunch even though it doesn’t look like much on the outside. highly recommended!

Looking for a home cooked meal? This is the place. Great breakfast food at a fair price. CASH only, so be sure to bring your money. We had a 50 cent up charge on fancy toasts (sour dough & English muffin) otherwise prices were clear. Super service and fast. We will come again.

Delicious food and out of this world prices. Be sure to bring cash as they don't accept cards, but that's why their prices are so cheap! $7 and I'm stuffed!

Overall very tasty and I absolutely love their breakfast omelets. I will definitely be coming back.

Family owned and operated. You can taste the love! 1st time there. Nice variety on menu. Submarine sandwich - fresh sliced and grilled ham, melted mozzarella cheese, grilled mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and mayo on a grilled submarine bun! Came with a heaping helping of fries! Tasted even better than it looks!

Doesn't have a machine to accept debit or credit so they're cash only. Frustrating to get my kids out of the car and inside just to hear that when it's not posted anywhere.

It was simple diner food. The menu was limited, but had most of what you'd expect. The specials were decent deals - a couple eggs and meats for a $4-5. I got the biscuits and gravy special for $8, and it was ok, but probably not worth the price. I wished I had gotten something else off the board. The place was small, kinda closed in (enough that I was glad I didn't bring my walker in, because they had to move a table to let another guy in and out with his). The clientele was completely older white guys in what seemed otherwise to be a multiethnic neighborhood. They were playing country music in back. The service was one nice lady running the whole show, and two folks in back slinging the food. Just not much to it. It's not a hidden gem. It's not terrible. It's just a little diner where you get what you pay for.

Pops and I spotted this beauty on the corner of Clyde Park & 36th Street and immediately knew: WE JUST MUST! As we entered there was a large group of seasoned gentlemen sipping on hot coffee swapping stories belly chuckles rolling out and filling the air along with the AMAZING SMELL of the grilled goodness coming out of the kitchen. Plate after lovely plate. One I repeat ONE kind waitress ran this place like a well-oiled machine. Greeting the regulars by name yet never skipping a beat. I ordered the 2 eggs and toast $4 Poppy had the daily special: hand-dipped cod $12. Might I add it was nine in the morning when we arrived the fryer was not on yet and the grill master kindly started it so Pops could have his DELICIOUS CRISP LIGHT FLUFFY cod for breakfast. Huge portions of ridiculously wonderfully priced food! Let's talk coffee... It's hot hot hot ! And somehow miraculously your cup is NEVER empty. Yelpers the food at this joint is remarkable! Ample parking out front. * Fact CASH ONLY * is the acceptable form of payment!

Very homey atmosphere, very good food. Thee best American fries! Also killer gyro. Not the fastest service but well worth the wait.

Always friendly folks and delicious food. A great value and I've never been disappointed in any meal enjoyed here. I'm CRAZY for their crispy bacon. Casual environment - old fashioned diner vibe - even a couple of stools at the service counter! LOVE IT

This restaurant is a very cozy little diner. Great breakfast and fast service. They only take cash or checks.

This is the third week in a row my brother, Joe, brought my to Agon's. Apparently this place has been here for quite a few years. This is the second time I've had the Gyro. I got it with feta cheese ($1 extra). Absolutely the most delicious meal I've had in a while! I had American fries with my meal. For $7.50 it is definitely worth it. The entire staff is very friendly.

Great place that appears to be family operated. I've been coming here since high school (That's over 20 years now) and I've always had great service and fantastic food and the prices are perfect!

I called in asking to speak with the owner so that I could help them with a website and some rude asshole on the phone cursed me out.. what an idiot what if I would have offered to do it for free

Great old fashioned hole in the wall restaurant serving breakfast selections of eggs, best fried potatoes, giant delicious pancakes, oatmeal and most other regular breakfast fare.. Also good strong coffee not just colored water.. Supper specials feature liver & onions, baked chicken, goulash etc..
