Agostinis Italian Restaurant

Absolutely loved this place! The open kitchen adds such a great atmosphere—you can see the chefs in action, making everything fresh. Their seasonal menu is a fantastic touch, ensuring every dish is made with the best ingredients. The pizza was delicious with the perfect crispy crust, and for dessert, I had the panna cotta, which was silky smooth and just the right amount of sweetness. The staff was warm and welcoming, making the whole dining experience even better. Highly recommend~~

We had the pasta and the prawn & zucchini risotto, both dishes were full of flavor and beautifully cooked. I really appreciated that they happily switched the cheese on the pasta for a vegan-friendly option. I’m so glad I decided to book online at the last minute and managed to get the very last table! Highly recommend making a reservation if you’re visiting on a weekend.

Nice meal to catch up with a friend. I was given a choice of water on arrival, but it took a long time for staff to take drinks/food orders after that and we had to wave someone down. I had the sardines special for entree. They were tasty, but a sauce would have been appreciated. Ditto for the veal chop. My companion had the burrata for entree which was great and the ravioli, which was also great. I had menu envy! Mains came out immediately after we'd finished entree with no gap, which was a little rushed. We were offered desserts. Overall a pleasant experience, but not outstanding.

Well tonight was a great night. Some times we go out and think...... I could have done that better but not tonight. We loved everything we ordered or was encouraged to try. It's great to finally find a good Italian restaurant.

Both takeaway and dinner were experienced. The menu was fantastic and choices made well received. The staff are very attentive here and can't do enough for you. Highly recommended

We had such a delicious meal here! Having not booked we arrived just as they opened & were fortunate to get a table. The menu was very appealing & we didnt find it easy to choose. The antipasto dishes of frico & octopus on fennel were taste sensations & both were new to us. Both pizzas were fabulous, with the Melzana Pizza being the highlight. Each team member was friendly & welcoming. If we lived in Canberra we'd be here every week.

One of the best Italian environment & restaurants in Canberra to enjoy authentic Italian pizza & pasta with so much aroma & flavors & freshness. You should book for lunch or dinner as it gets busy quite easily. The cakes & desserts are very nice as well.

⭐ 5/5 We first tried Agostinis via Uber Eats when we visited Canberra in October 2024. Despite the delivery taking longer than expected and the food arriving cold (no fault of Agostinis), the food was still amazing. The pizza, patate fritti (fries), and tiramisu were all fantastic. We knew we had to return. On this trip (January 2025), we always planned to dine in for dinner but on our first night we were too tired and decided to order Uber Eats again. Unfortunately, the driver only delivered the fries and didn’t bring the pizzas. He kindly went back to pick them up and I contacted Agostinis to let them know. Marco, one of the managers, was incredibly accommodating and even offered to make fresh pizzas for us. Such great customer service! When we finally dined in, the experience did not disappoint. The food quality, presentation, and overall service were excellent. We were seated in a cozy booth at the back of the restaurant which was lovely and intimate but did not get much staff traffic so service was a little slower. That said, the team was friendly and attentive when they did come around. The only minor feedback is that while the pasta itself was slightly under seasoned, the flavours of the dishes were still great and adding parmigiano brought out the taste even more. The only real letdown was the grilled octopus salad as the octopus was way overcooked and had a mushy texture which I did mention to one of the waiters. we can only suspect this was just a one off and not the norm. Overall, we loved our meals and desserts. We probably over-ordered as we wanted to try as much as possible. The menu is fantastic and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Before heading back to Sydney, I even went back to thank Marco personally and grabbed one last takeaway snack and dessert. We will definitely return to Agostinis every time we visit Canberra. Highly recommend!

I came here five years ago for a family dinner and the food was fantastic. I can say the same thing today when I came for a late lunch with my wife - pizzas are excellent and salad very fresh great wine list and exemplary service.

Best pizza I've had in years. Quite bloody literally. And an excellent wine selection on the menu for pairing that has yet to let me down after eating here 5 times in the past 6 months. Antipasto olives are also da'bomb.

Asked at reception of the hotel where to eat that evening and Andrea the Chef was there, he recommended Agostinis and he didn't let us down. We had a wonderful table in the conservatory area. Staff were all helpful and friendly and Andrea sent out the most delicious food. Wine list was really good. Would highly recommend.

Good food, frenetic service. Came here for a pizza with a friend. We didn't have a reservation, so we sat at the bar, which was great because watching the kitchen is very fun and interesting. No server came to take our order, so I had to ask the Maitre'd to take it for us. Then our server arrived and was very apologetic. We asked for a slight variation to the standard pizza topping, which the Maitre'd thought was not possible, but the pizza chef had no problem honoring our request. Drinks came first, then our pizza arrived 10 minutes later (bad timing but it might sell more drinks...). Our server took our order for dessert and coffee, but two different servers brought them separately, again, by nearly 10 minutes. The meal was good, and it was a Friday night, so busy, but the service, while enthusiastic and friendly, was inconsistent, which took a star off my review.
