Agriturismo Chalet Fogajard

Our four night stay at Paola & Edoardo’s Agriturismo was absolutely splendid! We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home - Edoardo greeting us like old friends returning after a long absence. The building was designed & built in a classic mountain style; natural wood interior and exterior, bright with sunlight and a fantastic unobstructed view of the mountains. Located on the side of a valley the chalet is absolutely calm and quiet (no traffic sound at all). The location is ideal for hiking. We were able to walk directly from the chalet into the mountains, with access to easy, intermediate & advanced trails. On these trails are a number a very nice refugios to stop for a drink or full meal - we were never disappointed. Within 10-30 minutes drive there are many other hiking trails in to explore; alpine, forest, river valleys. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, complete with homemade breads, pastries, jams, honey and juices. Dinners were prepared by a chef and were consistently excellent, the menus were creative and different each night. What a pleasure to know you can eat well and not need to search for a restaurant at the end of your day. All put together our stay was wonderful and relaxing. Our days were filled with flavourful meals, hiking in beautiful scenery, relaxing in the wellness spa and evenings by the fire. Indeed, it was a classic mountain vacation, just wonderful!

After our week-long stay in Fogajard, I would definitely recommend it. We chose this hotel based on a recommendation from friends who had stayed there before. Incidentally, the hotel has only six rooms, so it is very cosy. Be sure to order breakfast and dinner for every day of your stay. The food is interesting, informative and delicious. During our entire stay, the chef never repeated a dish and two-thirds of the dishes were completely new to me. The only difficulty we had was that there was too much food. Sometimes the girls were unable to eat everything. We solved this problem partly by doing vigorous physical activity in the fresh air, namely hiking, which is why we came to the Dolomites. There are several routes directly from Fogayard, including one to the waterfalls. However, to access a wider range of hiking options, it is highly desirable to have a car. It is also quite difficult to get to the house itself without a car. Navigation does not always work properly, so pay attention to the signs installed at turns and forks when you turn off the main asphalt road. The basement sauna has a steam room and a sauna. We booked it for every day. It really helped us to relax and warm up after hiking. I recommend doing the same. Much to my delight, there were no televisions in the rooms. There was no time to watch them anyway, so this was not a problem. The internet worked well, so it was not possible to achieve 100% digital detoxification.  The owner, his family and all the staff are extremely responsive, friendly, caring and competent. They speak Italian, German, English, Spanish, Russian and Catalan. There may be others. :)

Pure destiny brought us to this wonderful place and the welcoming warmth and energy made us feel right at home. From the charming details all around to the stunning surroundings, this family has put all their hearts into providing a special experience and sharing their love for nature, well being and human connection. We spent 2 amazing days at Chalet Fogajard! The place is beautiful, with incredible views at the mountain, everything is cozy and well thought out. Eduardo was very attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed ; the home made food was delicious, we really appreciated the surprise menus on the evenings! Finally we also enjoyed the wellness space, making this stay definitely perfect!

This is a truly romantic chalet as it advertises. The hospitable host Eduardo is doing everything to make you feel at home. The owners follow a bio path in all they offer. The chalet has comfortable rooms and a breathtaking view over the Brenta mountains. It lies 4 km out of Madonna but the connection the host offers, will get you to the ski lift in 12 minutes. The chalet serves excellent food and wine and grappa. A wood fire welcomes you in the evening. Service is caring and gentle. For those who look for rest and a quiet stay, this is your answer.

Absolutely spectacular, would highly recommend if you are a nature lover. Love that this is for adults and amazing food. Beautiful staff, Eduardo is the perfect host who dropped us to ski slopes and collected us each evening. Great to be completely immersed in nature.||Loved this chalet and skiing so much.

We’ve stayed at the fabulous Chalet Fogajard 5 times because it’s a welcoming place with spectacular views over the Dolomites which instantly takes you away from city life. The food offering is always top class and is consistently excellent every night. The wines and produce are locally sourced for an authentic Alto Adige experience.

Unimpressive stay. The chalet is nice but lacks a common area. Location is secluded, but now a larger building is being constructed next door. Skiing arrangements are unhelpful as Madonna di C car parks are undersized, so without a resident pass it is difficult to find a spot, and the chalet has no spare to lend on your day of checking out. Food is average as breakfast is good, but the 4 course dinners are a joke. Finally, the owner walked into our room without knocking whilst my wife was in the bathroom. Totally unacceptable.
