We only stayed for dinner and it was a memorable immersion in the true taste of Umbria. The Casale is perfectly located to savor the sunset, especially from the outdoor patio, while feasting on local specialty accompanied by excellent local wine ! Friendly service and a very honest proving only added to the pleasure of the evening

We came for dinner, unannounced, on a Monday evening. We were sat immediately, overlooking the valley. This was maybe the best dinner we had in Italy (which included Rome, Naples, Florence, and Venice, amongst some other small places like Norcia). Very fresh, great wine pairing, excellent dessert. Worth a trip out of the way to come visit.

We had a great stay in Norcia. The owner is very friendly, the location has nice rooms and breathtaking views. The food is excellent, you should definitely try the lasagne with truffle.

Probably the best countryside experience in Norcia. The location is perfect if you are looking for a tranquile, relaxing stay; the area is situated just below the appennines so it is fresher than any other location nearby, which is perfect during the hot summer days. The rooms are simple and rustic, minimalistic with elegance and there is all You need. One of the best thing is the shower: the water flow is potent and constant, it’s just perfect! It’s a simple thing makes the whole stay better, we couldn’t wait to get to he room for a shower at the end of the day. The structure are in great shape after the earthquake so feel 100% safe there. The pool is big and perfect if you like to swim. The food is fresh and with lots of vegetarian options, plus truffle is almost always on the menu with no extra charge if you pick the plan with the food included. The best thing is the service though: Francesco the waiter is one of the best I have found in many years. He went the extra mile to accommodate all our requests, so much that he even went to pick fresh peppermint from the garden after our request for a tea. Ernesto the owner is always up for a talk and a great character too. It makes you feel relaxed and in tone with the mood of the place. Look no further if you are searching the perfect countryside retreat And you want to be close to Castelluccio (40 mins) But also to Spello, Spoleto, Montefalco and Assisi (1hr).

This Agriturismo called Casale degli Amici located in Norcia, Italy is ideal for a great lunch with family, friends, a couple or just for celebrating a special date. The food is highly delicious and homemade. Even the customer service is personalized and attentive. The view is breathtaking. Lunch can be served either indoors or outdoors. It’s easy to arrive and parking friendly. I totally recommend this Casale.

We’ve stayed here several times before and this time, brought our daughter and granddaughter. We had a ground floor accessible room which accommodated my mobility challenged husband perfectly. The girls were in one of the luxury rooms and they loved it. Breakfast was ample and buffet style. Delicious homemade yoghurt,ricotta, jams, pastries and breads. Generous plates of prosciutto and cheese. We always ate lunch out but several times had dinner at the Casale. Do NOT miss their white lasagna. All the pastas are good…the fettuccine with truffles is also a winner. They do a nice grilled steak, good Norcia sausages and all the veggie sides are well prepared. We’re already planning our return trip. Thanks Ernesto and son Leonardo for a well run establishment in the most beautiful part of Italy.

We are so glad we called far enough ahead to be able to book a room for three nights at Il Casale degli Amici!! The food, the friendly service, the spectacular views, and the proximity to Norcia all made it the perfect base for our time exploring the Norcia area and the Sibillini mountains. While the breakfast buffet was more than adequate, being able to come back each night to an exquisitely prepared dinner was simply wonderful -- excellent service, excellent house wine (as well as many other options from their extensive wine list), and simply wonderful, sophisticated but regionally appropriate food. A glass of wine on the terrace overlooking the view before dinner -- sublime. The the warmth and attentiveness of the host/owner: priceless. We found ourselves relaxing more and more as we enjoyed the comforts, views, and cuisine of this very special place. We will be back!!!

Il Casale degli Amici is nestled in a tranquil setting just beside the most beautiful Benedictine monastery. The rooms are rustic but comfortable and you have beautiful views in every direction. The staff are friendly and the food is AMAZING. Ernesto was even kind enough to drive us to the monastery so we could assist at Mass with the monks. I can’t wait to return!

Charming countryside ambiance known for its truffle-based dishes. The staff is very courteous. Highly recommend stopping by this venue if you're in the area!

The food in the restaurant is truly amazing, and the hospitality while staying here is wonderful. Many locals come here for dinner, reflecting the wonderful nature of the food. I appreciated the kind housekeeping during a long stay.

We added Norcia to our Italy itinerary simply because we wanted to taste the very best of Umbria. The town is still under reconstruction after the earthquake, and the town was very quiet and sleepy. We decided to have dinner here since the restaurant in our hotel was closed for the evening (Vespasia). We had an absolutely wonderful meal! The lasagna should not be missed! It was so good we ordered a second. The atmosphere, food and wine were all phenomenal. In total we ordered wine and 5 dishes and it came to just 45 euro. Highly recommend!
