Agroturismo Son Juaneda

We stayed here for 5 nights for our first trip to Menorca|We could not fault the Accomodation, location or the facilities it offers for what we thought were very reasonable costs|The staff were fantastic and very friendly and helpful|The breakfast are amazing - lots of local produce of excellent quality|Location wise it’s a good base to explore all the island- with many beautiful coves and beaches 15-30 min drive away. we had a car and would recommend hiring one if you stay here. Lovely touch is that there is use of a private parking space in Ciutadella itself linked to the accomodation which made parking in town an absolute breeze as otherwise quite busy despite it being early season.|The team clearly take pride in the grounds around and it shows. The pool was lovely and the interior of the room and the dining/bar space were very tasteful and relaxed vibe|No food was available other than breakfast but there is a fridge in The room and you could use the outside dining space and bar area to take your own food- with the benefit of an honesty bar - which was very well stocked !!|Would highly recommend

A great option for easy access to Cuitadella and that end of the island and all whilst being attractively affordable. Lovely staff, comfortable room and pool area. The honesty bar is a nice touch and breakfast was tasty with lovely fresh orange juice. |One issue for us was seeing the poor horse spend all day on a hard surface stable/yard. I did raise this as I'm sure it would be much happier and stimulated by having access to a field within the property.

This is a wonderful, friendly, peaceful and beautiful place! We had a great time during our 3 night stay. Bedrooms very comfortable, pool big and lovely, breakfast great, location brilliant for coast and Ciutedella - they even provide free parking in the town because parking is tricky there. Highly recommended!

Really nice Agritourismo well decorated and with really nice owners, well located to visit the North West, Ciutadella as well as the South. We liked it a lot and we will come back for sure. |Nice Swimming pool, perfect to relax after a day of visit or beach. |Good breakfast (and it is important for us) - fine food, different local cakes, fresh orange juice, a lot of small attentions that make a difference.|We also had dinners, good also. Far from the crowd if you want a peaceful evening.|We went there with our daughter (teenager). She liked it also.

No word can describe how wonderful our stay at Son Juaneda was. It’s a kind of place where you leave all your worries because the place is so peaceful, pleasant and enjoyable. Even thought it seems to be not the most “child-friendly” place, our 6 year old son enjoyed it a lot. You can dip in a pool whenever you want, walk in the garden with fig trees (the fruits are available during the breakfast), watermelons and other fruit and veggies. We checked daily upon a beautiful horse and chicken as well. Proximity to the beaches and Ciutadella are also worth mentioning. What a lovely spot to explore this magnificent city and the nature around it. Highly recommend!

Three days with Oscar and the staff at Son Juaneda is one of the most peaceful gifts you can give yourself. On arrival we were told we were the first Canadian guests at the hotel, so we set about making sure we set a good standard for others from northern climes to follow.||Check in. Quick, with a helpful tour of the property. Meals. Variety and ease of seating and good drink selection. Pool. Uncrowded and wonderful background sounds of the waterfall.||Best part? Ease of access to Ciutadella and surrounding area, cleanliness, and room 20 with it’s great deck and lounging area. Yes, a three star, but an exceptional value as well. We hope this hotel continues to prosper in a post-pandemic world. They are a jewel in a beautiful place.

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 nights' stay at this lovely family-run hotel. Everything was just perfect. Oscar extends a genuine welcome and is very helpful and friendly, as are all the staff and we were struck by the general warmth and relaxed nature of the atmosphere in the hotel. Our room was not spacious, but was spotlessly clean and with a lovely bathroom and a large (but not soft!) bed. Our small terrace provided some good outdoor space. ||||Breakfasts were superb (taken on the very pleasant terrace overlooking the attractive gardens/pool), with freshly-squeezed orange juice, home made pastries (savoury and sweet), a selection of breads, home-made jams, meats & local cheeses, and eggs (from the hens outside!).||We ate in the restaurant every evening - it was faultless. There is a set menu, which is excellent value, with good choices of meat/fish/vegetarian, or a la carte. The food had a traditional emphasis and was fresh and delicious. ||||Cuitadella is a 5 minute drive away and is a delightful town to visit. Good bakeries near the cathedral, for sandwiches/pastries/cakes for picnics. We parked at the Port (free) - follow the signs anti-clockwise around the ring road - and walked down to the water, then over the bridge and easily up the steps right into the centre of town. ||||We would highly recommend Son Juaneda and will definitely return!

We spent three wonderful nights here. The house is very tastefully decorated and beautifully clean and tidy. There is a nice outdoor seating area with pool. Everything possible was done to make us feel very welcome. There was good quality tea and coffee, milk, yogurts, fruit and biscuits available all day and an honesty bar. We stayed for dinner on two of the three nights and had delicious food. (They do not open the restaurant Sunday evening). Breakfast is fabulous - the eggs come from the chickens that live on site. You need to have a car to stay here. Excellent value - a hidden gem
