Aguglia Persa

A restaurant in the heart of the historic center of Agrigento with a distinct identity and a great variety of traditional dishes, rich in tastes and colors. A must try is is the Spada and eggplant cream mezze maniche, in which you can appreciate the eggplant cream long and sophisticated preparation. Great experience, highly recommended.

We dropped in for a late lunch so we were able to get a seat without reservations. The staff was welcoming and made a few suggestions for us which we enjoyed. We ate inside due to the season and enjoyed the atmosphere very much.

This is the best restaurant I have ever been too! We loved the atmosphere, the music, the service and the food/ drinks. Everything was perfect. The location is so beautiful that we thought it would be the perfect wedding location. I can 100% recommend this place for everyone who stays in Agrigento and loves the Italian romantic vibe and food. We will definitely come back!

Great location for intimate dinner under the sky, surrounded by green. A good place to get a bit of quiet in the city. The food is outstanding, especially the starters. A really nice setting to eat out at.

I think this was our best dining experience in Sicily. It was the perfect combination of traditional and modern. Not too much, not too little. Just the right amount, so that you still have delicious Italian food but with some tiny bits of novelty. The location was beautiful and the service was very good. Would highly recommend it and hope to get back soon. 😊

Nice food in a nice garden. The service was good. They mixed some tables so we had the amuse bouche twice. And we enjoyed it. Regarding the other dishes: The BBQ parmigiana was great, a bit Smokey but nice. Also the swordfish was excellent, although it was a bit boring compared to the other dishes. I can absolutely recommend the Riso al Forno. But, disappointingly, the espresso was cold when it arrived, so for the coffee: only okay-ish. Still, I’d come back any time I’m around.

A picture is worth a thousand words...see photos posted. As mentioned in other reviews finding the location can be a bit of a challenge if you are not using a driver for those unfamiliar with the bustling streets of Agrigento.

This restaurant is a real gem! Wonderful food, great service, in a beautiful courtyard. One of the best meals we had during our trip to Puglia and Sicily. It was so delicious that we already booked it again. It will be our farewell from this beautiful region. If you don’t speak italian, use google translate and go for the dessert that has apple cubes. It’s the best dessert you will find anywhere!!!
