Amazing. We ordered the tasting menu and everything was superb. The avocado cannelloni was a great start, the risotto was probably the best risotto I've had, having a nice smoky flavor, and the cactus dessert was the perfect way to end the menu. The wine and cocktail paired well, service was excellent. For 6 courses, pre-dessert, dessert, cava, 2 white wines, a red, and a dessert cocktail: this is well worth the price.

Don't let the price tag of this place scare you, the price is worth the food they serve you. 1st this place if you have more than 2 people, you'll need a reservation, with out it good chance they'll turn you away, the food is good they can afford saying no, they were packed, but it was comfortable. The food was like little works of art, and the play together was perfect across starters and entre. But the dessert... SO GOOD. my wife and I almost made the mistake ok sharing dessert... so happy we decided to get 2. The passion fruit creme brulee and the rhum baba were so good, glad to of shared both with her. Service was great despite how packed it was, they keep the amount of customer inside to what they can serve with no added pressure of people waiting outside, so despite they turn away customers without reservations, in away it fair to the establishment and to potential customers. Also their toilet seats are heated.

Google
Highest quality tapas-size food. Amazing intense flavours. An interesting influence of Asian flavours on the Mediterranean cuisine. Beautiful decor and lighting. If anything, the place is too loud due to the number of tables and low ceilings upstairs.

Wonderful food. Really loved the different combinations and flavors. Very kind staff and small but nicely decorated venue.

Google
Second time here. First time, a year ago was amazing. This time, we took the tasting menu. We waited over 20 minutes between very small tasting dishes that were not so good...

Google
we went with the tasting menu and it did not disappoint, great drinks, great creativity, for the price it was worth every penny! Great atmosphere and great service as well! You must get the cactus dessert, too cute but tasty as well!

Google
Service was warm and friendly. Went to this restaurant on a Sunday night so difficult to say whether the food quality would be consistent throughout the week. The Avocado Canelloni was fresh and prepared well, but needed a little extra or kick to really bring out the flavor. The loins smoked sardine was very fresh and flavorful. I would recommend this dish. The mole verd amb verdures and the "Cartagenera" style octopus were a little on the salty side but were still good. For dessert, I had the Cactus which was a very creative and surprisingly tasty treat. Overall, I had a good time.

Great food, much greater presentation. Food looked so good we didn't want to eat it. Waitress was professional and extremely friendly. Not cheap, still highly recommendable.

Yelp
Everything in Barcelona is adorable, as is Agust Gastro Bar! We started off with some cocktails that were delicious, but I must note that our server forgot about our drinks...well, I think she did. She said the bar was really busy - but they arrived shortly after we asked about them. The second round was much faster - and they sent complimentary shots to the table. So, you decide. Food: Starters: - Tomato bread, YUM! - Chicken croquet (my favorite) - Scallops (we all decided we could have done without) - Tacos (very juicy). I wish I took a picture of the menu, I don't recall what each dish was, but these are my best guesses. Main course: - Octopus (cooked perfectly!) - Steak (a little raw for my taste, but the potatoes and sauce it came with were great!) - Chicken something in a potato pasta or something like that (skip, too bland) Dessert: We had to get the sorbet in the shape of the succulent. I was very refreshing and better than i expected. The servers made up for the forgotten drinks and were very kind and even gave us recommendations of places to go out that evening. I would definitely go back!

Yelp
Went to Agust upon a friend's recommendation. The restaurant is two levels, both of which are seemingly small but surprisingly spacious. We sat upstairs with a large party and had plenty of space. Our recommender said the food was phenomenal, but I personally found it to be just pretty good. I ordered the Thai vegetarian curry which was very good but salty. A decent amount of vegetables but much more rice than actual curry. My one friend who ordered a dish (which the name of unfortunately escapes me) with prawns, beans, and chorizo also shared this sentiment. Other dishes that received good reviews from the table included a cheese platter, the cactus dessert (mojito mousse and lemon sorbet), the fish of the day (which was cod), and the mushroom risotto. We also ordered a bottle of Cava Montjuic, which tasted similar to many other sparkling white wines. One problem to note was that we were not alerted that the fish of the day had clams atop it, which posed a problem for the recipient of the dish who has a shellfish allergy. The staff was polite and understanding, though she did just have to order and pay for another dish. Overall, nice atmosphere and good food, but not as great as expected.

Yelp
We were looking for something special for our last night before leaving Barcelona. Agust was 1/3 of a mile from our hotel, got good ratings and the food photos were the final lure. We had an excellent meal and fantastic service. We sat on the main floor by the chefs' station and got to watch all of the food get made and plated. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Stopped by for drinks on a Wednesday night and were not disappointed. The ambiance was a lot of fun, our group of 3 was seated right away and we ordered 2 beers and a glass of cava. It was fun to sit around and hang out. Then we got a liter of sangria to share. It was decent, sweet, what you would expect to taste with a sangria. I wanted to try the sangria cava but we tried sangria vino. Maybe next time we'll try the cava!

Yelp
This place was fantastic. We made reservations through TripAdvisor and receive 20% off our total bill on just the food items. We ordered the calamari with the Bao bun, croquette, beef tartar, duck and scallop. My BF has a big appetite so he always orders a lot of food (better for meeee ). I really enjoyed all the food besides the scallop. It was a bit fishy for me but my bf really liked it. The duck was the highlight of the meals it was very delicious. The service was wonderful, all the servers were very attentive and nice. I would definitely recommend you try this place if you're in the area!!

Yelp
Had a fabulous time here and the food was delicious. I'm visiting Barcelona single and it can get a little lonely because most people are in groups, but i met another American and spent the night talking to him and the bartender. Food is top notch. Wish I had someone to share the food with so I could try it all!

Yelp
Oh we found a sexy restaurant in a edgy neighborhood. Eclectic and international patrons and clientele. Why is that the only food industry staff in this city, that are friendly, are expats? Not only were they so friendly and personable they were Multilingual and gorgeous. Was actually service with a smile, how refreshing. Because we had an entire bottle of delicious Spanish red most of my dinner is just a memory if delicious flavors. Definitely drink wine! The list is incredible and so inexpensive. The Cactus desert was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Like a mojito In ice cream formation. It Literally looks like a cactus and tastes like a dream. GThe service was impeccable (in many languages) warm and genuine and efficient. Our server knew the entire menu and wine list. Not sure we missed any flavors as we tasted so many at dishes. They were all Inventive, Creative. Would describe this place as Pan Iberian flavors with world influences. We even got 3 glasses of cava at the end of the meal to celebrate my birthday. What a sweet gesture. We were so full we couldn't finish them.

Yelp
The foods are good. Croquet was very tasty. Caneló D'alvOCat i Gambes was unique in taste with shrimp wrapped with Avocado. I particularly like the Fish of the day, Seabass. A bit dry but actually what I like. Our friends had the pesCaDO De la lOnja beef steak in medium rare, I think they like it but nothing extraordinary. Our vegetarian friend had the only main vegetarian dish quinOa neGra COn verDuras which was very tasty and delicious. A good option for vegetarian. We all shared the EL CACTUS dessert. Just for look, nothing extraordinary. The reason why I gave 3 stars instead of 4 is the service. Waiter was a bit impatient with us for trying to share among us so we have a good taste of each.

Stuart J. L.

Yelp
Stayed at an Airbnb, looked up restaurants on Yelp, and this place was literally across the street. Reservations for 1. I had the tasting menu, which was a leisurely 2 hour meal with myself. I enjoyed it immensely. I put my phone away, and took some time for myself to savor it. Every dish was just great. A terrific way to try out a good chunk of their menu, in bites. Service, great. Ambience, perfect. A wonderful meal.

Yelp
Very good food in a convenient part of town! A variety of fusion tapas which highlighted local specialities. The best dish of the dinner was the ceviches with catch of the day (tuna and octopus). Fragrant, fresh, creative and super tasty! Second best dish was the tapioca ice cream which was very refreshing and elegantly presented. Different than what you might find else where and highly recommended. Third best dish was the Tamal which was a pork dish served on a bed of polenta with pineapple salsa. Great deep Iberia pork flavors punctuated by citrus from the pineapple. Probably 4 stars but the excellent service took it over the top! Would definitely come again!

Sonia D.

Yelp
Let's start with dessert - the prickly pear cactus is stupendous! And the tapioca is pretty great. For dinner the chicken/foie grad cannelloni may have been one of the dishes we have eaten in the past 5 years. Also try the Antis Than A wine if it's still on the menu - it's amazing! A great find.

Yelp
Staying at an VRBO flat in the San Antoni section. Looked for a close-by restaurant. There were a few that sounded interesting but randomly picked Agust. Best random choice I've made in a while. I was the perfect meal. We selected the Degustation Menu consisting of eight courses. All I can say is that with each course we said "this is the best serving I have ever had. That application of fine ingredients, careful seasonings, and unmatched cooking made for a great meal. We could not remember such a consistently great meal. The subtle use of flavors and the marriage of contrasting tastes was outstanding and made each dish extremely complex. Or to put it in plain language- It tasted so damn good. Wait staff were on point. Available and knowledgeable but never intrusive. This restaurant was nonpareil. You have to try it.

Yelp
We had SUCH delicious food here, service, menu, scene...absolutely loved our first night in Barcelona bc of this restaurant. We will be back before we leave!! We had croquettes (seafood filled), ceviche as appetizers...puertorican tamal, aged beef for dinner. Every single dish was perfect. Michael was our server and he was attentive and adorable.

Ida R.

Yelp
This is a place you need to go. The food, the drinks and the service is the best. I think the menu changes once in a while, cause courses describes in earlier reviews were not on the menu tonight, but i'm sure they make all the dishes to perfection. The service was a big plus; nice, helpful and smiling. Just go there and try it yourselves!! Oh, and order their mojito... yum yum yum!!

Monica D.

Yelp
The food was fantastic! Creative, beautiful, delicious dishes. We had the tuna tacos and they were as beautiful as they were delightful. My main meal was the Thai curry with shrimp added. It has the perfect amount of spice and I would go back for it! The dessert was tasty with both sweet, sour, and multiple textures. The cactus dessert is not to be missed. Our server was Walter and he was great. His suggestions were spot on and we enjoyed him.

Leah B.

Yelp
This was probably the most disappointing meal we had while in Barcelona. I do have to say, the decor, ambiance and service were all good, as was the presentation of the food, but it lacked flavor and depth. The wine was good. However, the chicken and prawn cannenoli was very bland, and a small portion of the price. My husband had the pork Tamal with pineapple and polenta which sounded promising, but was again very small for the hefty price tag and didnt offer the punch of flavor we hoped for.

Mike B.

Yelp
This was the best meal that we had in Barcelona. The ambience was casual and the service friendly and excellent. We need lots of understanding having flunked out of travelers Spanish. Our server was understanding all the way and made numerous suggestions. The wine list to start with was easily decipherable and had nice descriptions of the wines. We ordered. Red, Abadia Retuerta which was described among other things as "greedy". Our server encouraged the selection and it was much better than the other expensive reds we had been drinking. I think it was 34 Euros. We started with a couple of appetizers, some seafood croquettes and two conchita tacos. I am not a big fan of presentation but immediately even I could appreciate that everything out of the kitchen was sent forth lovingly with an eye for detail. I included some pics. We then moved on to avocado cannelloni and drynaged steak. The steak was beautifully prepared with an excellent sauce that was not Bernaise but was similar. The meat came with a little sea salt and no condiments were needed. We then finished with chicken cannelloni and it was the show stopper. They also have an excellent drink menu and I had an El Extranjero, a combo of so many things including Mescal and grapefruit that it should not be missed. GO TO THIS PLACE!

Yelp
The BEST tapas restaurant I have been, and actually one of the best restaurant in my all life! Everything is just perfect... I'm not living in Barcelona, but it's always a pleasure to come back and eat here. JUST GO!!! I have no real recommendation because every tapas are excellent! And take a cocktail too!

Tony C.

Yelp
The food here was absolutely divine. It was fine dining cuisine at a very affordable price. Everything we ordered was flavorful, beautifully plated, and perfectly prepared. I highly recommend the fried calamari sandwich, beef carpaccio, wagyu beef slices with truffle mashed potatoes, and the chicken cannelloni. The food was incredible, but so was the ambiance and service. Our server was really kind, spoke English well, and very attentive. On top of that, the lighting is gorgeous and the decor is very modern. I can't wait to come back here again in the near future.

Shawn M.

Yelp
An amazing experience!! The atmosphere is a rustic mod, gastropub in Barcelona. Owner is incredible and attentive, there everyday to see through this exceptional culinary craft. The staff are wonderful and patient. They are very lingual and can accommodate english speaking travelers. They are very helpful with the menu selection. This is a tapas style menu. The food is absolutely going to impress the most discriminating palate! I do recommend the tasting menu. Oh and a must try is the owners spin on the El Mojito!! The recipe has traveled with him on his journey to Spain! Do ask about the journey!

Brittany B.

Yelp
For a great funky atmosphere, top notch mixologists, and creative tapas look no further!! We came here on a Saturday night and couldn't get a reso until 11. When we arrived we had to wait another 30 min for our table but it was perfectly fine because the server helped grab seats for us at the bar. My favorite tapa was the delicious calamari steam bun, order it!!! The carnitas taco tapa was also delicious! Everyone was super friendly we will definitely return!

Jeremy K.

Yelp
This is the same place as Agust (without the "gastro bar") on Yelp. See my review under that restaurant for details.

S R.

Yelp
Food is good, but not exceptional. Service is very friendly and helpful, though at times awkward :) The toilet resembles Captain Kirk's seat on the Enterprise.....all kinds of buttons n what not....but the toilet seats are heated! Cute and cozy space. It seems geared to tourists.

Janeth N.

Yelp
The service and food at this establishment were EXCELLENT! I loved the atmosphere and the food was absolutely fresh, the drinks were fresh, and the ambiance was lovely. I definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Barcelona.

Megan S.

Yelp
The first night we arrived in Barcelona we made a reservation here. The location was great in regards to our hotel and the atmosphere was so cool. They had a good drink menu which we tried a few different ones. For dinner we tried a bunch of different items including the croquettes, a burratta salad, the chicken entree, and the beef with truffles. The food was very good and I would recommend.

Eric C.

Yelp
This place is truly a hidden gem. The place is beautiful and nicely decorated. I have picked up the discovery menu for 45 EUR. I tasted five different dishes. I loved it! As dessert, I recommend the cactus. You will be amazed by the shape and the taste of it!

Mary-Rose S.

Yelp
We had high hopes for this place but the food was very average - some dishes even below average. Worst of all it was very expensive. One of the most expensive meals we had on our 10 day trip to Barcelona and the least memorable. We both had the tasting menu and there were a few decent dishes but there was huge wait times between each course. The waitress apologizes for it but didn't really do anything to make up for it. The meat dish in particular was cold and flavourless.

Venita R.

Yelp
A very cool vibe here. Sangria was delightful with a hint of flowers in it. The lamb meatballs with quail eggs were a treat!

Jackie F.

Yelp
Wonderful meal here at Agust. The 21 day aged beef and avocado cannelloni were so delicious. Beautiful surroundings too.

Stephanie F.

Yelp
Simply amazing. Great duck, scallops, gazpacho 'bites', tomato salad...and cocktails. Rare find in Barcelona that has lade back vibe in an interesting neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Robert P.

Yelp
Excellent food, hole in the wall atmosphere.

Anna M.

Yelp
This was my favorite restaurant in town!! The goodies so uniquely tasty and the service is excellent. My husband and I visited on our anniversary and they gave us an extra treat, which made it extra special

Dror L.

Yelp
The food was absolutely beautiful and delicious. We had oysters, sardines, tamal and tuna, alll are recommended. Great service. Highly recommended!

J P.

Yelp
Loved this place. Some truly different tapas dishes and very attentive and friendly staff. Would definitely come back.

Laur G.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere, great time, super friendly service (ask for Sergi - he is an amazing waiter), fantastic food, and a blast overall!!

Maurice R.

Yelp
Best food I had in Barcelona so far, the aged meat was succulent, and the Puerto Rican dish as well, the frensh waiter was very pleasant and helpful, and the gin tonic is soon good and generous! Must try the chocolate desert!

Maya K.

Yelp
What an excellent find, great price, lovely setting, great service, and superb cocktails. The pate with kumquat was a stand out. Sitting at the bar is a fun option to watch the action! Will definitely go there again.

Mark F.

Yelp
Amazing food, excellent service. I got the octopus and the passion fruit crème brulée. The octopus was grilled to perfection and had excellent flavour, the crème brulée was one of the best desserts I've had. It's in a very cute neighbourhood and the restaurant itself has a very cute vibe and nice decor. Would recommend!

Charlie M.

Yelp
What a wonderful treat! Tapas format but with a much larger menu option if you do not prefer the sharing and multiple portions. Nice atmosphere, love the Rock and brickwork walls. I would use the word "quaint" but it is more! Food recommendations were wonderful from the oyster to the avocado cannelloni The restaurant has a great staff! Thanks to Oskar and Gabriel for serving us and going over the menu.
