"There’s something about screen-saver-worthy natural beauty that makes us want to pick up a paint brush, and we’re not alone—Ah Haa School for the Arts feels it, too. Thankfully, the school’s private and group classes in everything from ceramics to book-binding can make everyone feel like Monet, if only for a day. Also on offer here are gratis artist-led talks, which are always open to the public. Check Ah Haa’s website before your trip for a schedule of upcoming events."

Amazing art studio. Gorgeous facility and friendly staff. Natalie was super friendly and helpful as I planned my trip from California to take an encaustic class with talented Lisa Pressman. Can’t wait to return for more classes.

The new space at the Ah Haa School for the Arts is magnificent. I took an art class there and it was clean and fresh. The class was taught to perfection by Kellie Day. She was inspiring and motivational! I would recommend her class to EVERYONE! The entire staff at the Ah Haa school was warm and welcoming.

Wonderful month long experience at the Ah Haa. Two sessions a week for instructor help and 2 sessions a week for open studio time. Great resources for help at there! Everyone is so helpful and upbeat. We are fortunate to have this organization in our town!

Kathy Green's Breakdown Screen Printing class is phenomenal. Kathy brings 30 years of fabric dyeing experience and teaching to this intensive, in-depth, experiential workshop. Generosity is the theme, with a sharing of knowledge, a plethora of materials and equipment, a state-of-the art studio and ample time for creating unique pieces. I can't say enough about this workshop; you will learn a new technique that will open up a world of color and excitement that will transform your artmaking. It certainly did for me!

Loved the Falafel making class. Everyone helped create two types of Falafels, and then we all sat down and had the most delicious dinner with all the accoutrements plus Tahini sauce and the best hummus I have ever tasted. And, I have the recipes for all. Our instructor, Alison Tarwater was excellent. The teaching kitchen is perfect and Jess, the Ah Haa staff person was super helpful and fun.

I attended a Seasonal Supper last night. It was so much fun and delicious. Jessica Goldberg, the home chef/instructor, was knowledgeable, relaxed and made us feel like we were cooking in her kitchen. Not only did I enjoy the learning aspect of the evening, but also enjoyed meeting members of our community that I did not know previously. Highly Recommend!!

Great classroom and venue. iPhone photography class was very helpful, lots of tips that I was unaware of. Enables me to take more advantage of many iphone camera and photos capabilities! Will be taking again in perhaps 6-12months as a refresher.

I've always loved the Ah Haa but the new facility has really changed the game. Not only is it beautiful, but the extra space and especially the kitchen have added so much to their programming. I've attended a few cooking classes recently. They are reasonably priced and so delicious. I was blown away by Kayla Wexelberg's knowledge and approach to food and culture during the momo class. Can't wait for more yummy meals with friends in the kitchen.

Yelp
Programming is amazing, teachers talented and facilities inspirational. They offer lectures and event space during festivals such as the mushroom one and are out of the tourist fray enough to generate local value to residents and those seeking a tad more than the typical.

Yelp
I interned at this school over the summer and was able to attend one their painting classes. The class is called "Painting From WIthin" and is all about painting from your emotions. Coming from a background of academic painting at my college I was blown away with how much I got out of just the first class. The instructor knew all of the mental pitfalls someone encounters as a beginning painter and gave suggestions, support and feedback to keep me moving through the piece. At the end of class there is a discussion about each persons work, and it was one of the most therapeutic and rewarding experiences I've had in art making. I highly recommend this class, even if you have never painted before and just curious.
