🍃 Ah Seng Durian – MSW Bitter vs Sweet Taste Test 🍃 Tried two versions of Musang King (MSW) here — one bitter-forward, one sweet-leaning. Both were creamy and aromatic with that signature MSW richness, but the flavours were clearly distinct: • Bitter MSW: deeper, more complex, slightly medicinal finish (for seasoned durian lovers). • Sweet MSW: smoother, more approachable, custardy with mild bitterness at the back. Overall experience: 7/10 — good quality fruit with clear flavour profiles, though not the most intense MSW we’ve had. Still a solid spot if you enjoy comparing bitter vs sweet side by side. 📍 Ah Seng Durian Best enjoyed fresh on-site for the full aroma and texture.

Sharing some of the great durian experiences I’ve had here over the years! **Picture 1:** My partner, who usually doesn’t even like durian, actually *loved* the taste of this one — that says a lot! **Picture 2:** This was my first time trying the Black Cat Mao Shan Wang, also known as the black gold standard. The taste and quality were superb, and the seed was medium-sized (which of course isn’t something that can be controlled). Truly top-tier. **Picture 3:** I don’t usually go for D13, but the bruised D13 displayed for walk-in customers really impressed me and convinced me to buy it. Overall, consistently great experiences and quality durians. Highly recommend!

One of the best recommended durian store in Singapore. They have wide range of Malaysian durian and wow they taste so good and guaranteed fresh. The ice cream also deserve praise for being so good! Visitor can dine in comfortably as they provides tables, chairs, and gloves. They also have their own brand of snacks and souvenir.

Had a wonderful evening having Durian as dinner here with Best Friends!!! We had 2 packets of 貓山王 Mao Shang Wang, & 3 packets of 紅蝦 Red Prawn Durian. There were 4 of us. We had them fresh as they just arrived today. They were really good, totally flavorful and the texture was out of this world!!! We couldn't stop eating. We were happy because the 'hood' (seed) of the durian were really small for the 紅蝦 Red Prawn Durian. Businesses were non-stop with lots of Durian Desserts. I think I have to come back again!!!

A nice place to cool off with desserts on a warm day. All desserts that we've ordered tasted pretty decent. The MSW Sago has a stronger durian flavour than the MSW Chendol.

Been getting their durians since 2016 at Ghim Moh and quality is good most of the time. Was in the alexandra vicinity yesterday and decided to try my luck walk-in. And wow, most of the staff don't acknowledge your presence even though we were standing right in front of the counter. Only until we asked whether are there durians, one of them pointed to the packaged ones on the counter and did not bother to introduce what variety they are and the pricing. While I understand the business is good nowadays, there is no need for such snoobish behavior and giving off the vibe that 'if u want to buy, then get it, if not get lost'. Thanks but no thanks. My last time coming to this outlet.

For those who like really sticky durians! This is the textbook version of good durians and if you are mainstream, this should be your go-to place for durians. Just go for the bittersweet one and not the bitter-wet ones. The latter is just the slightly inferior version of the former, but sold at the same price. Unfortunately for me, I’m an oddball and like overly runny and bitter to the point of alcoholic durians. Hence, I didn’t enjoy it as much as everyone else does. Having said that, this is likely the top 3 durians places in Singapore, try it to understand!

I pre ordered 3 boxes of durians in advance for Xmas eve celebrations but unfortunately the durians did not arrived by 10pm as there were some issues with the 3rd party driver so Ah Seng proceeded with a full refund. But to my surprise Ah Seng’s son turned up at 1040pm to deliver the durians with a very nice note of “merry Xmas”! I am really impressed with this top notch customer service despite the initial waiting experience. Thank Ah Seng for not only delivering good durians but more importantly a good customer experience that you want your customers to have with Ah Seng. Thank you! Look forward to order again.
