Desperately wanted Chee Chong Fun, and came across one inside Pudu Mall where the wet market is underground (basement). It's crowded with locals, but of course all the workers are "imported" from I think Myanmar. I didn't try other foods, apparently curry laksa is famous.
The auntie next to me came and asked what's famous here to the waitress. The waitress said laksa, but she ordered toast with less butter and less kaya because she has high blood pressure, literally.
Then don't eat! lol
The waitress was professional, butter is fixed size, can't adjust, less kaya ya, she confirmed. That's when she explained again her diet restriction. Right away, the waitress said, it's better don't have kaya then, she helped her to change her order. She admitted.
The story was too interesting and it continued with dietary challenge with kopi. Unfortunately I lost that part.
And the end, she ordered a soup.
Maybe it's time revolution should take place.
How about stores that take care of all that concern and change how we have been eaten for Malaysian eat-out? Dietary is a concern but there is no option now especially for the elderly, well average Malaysian has the highest diabetes mellitus in Southeast Asian countries. Everything wants to be No. 1, dietary street food should be the next high demand industry.
