Located right in the heart of the city at Klarabergsgatan 50, it’s a shopping paradise that truly has something for everyone. Staff on the second floor were super friendly and helpful. Nice department store to get some quality Swedish souvenirs. Very convenient as there is a ride range of products in this one single place

It had several floors, the main one kinda posh, but then every now and then, you had offers everywhere that were not making it cheap, just less expensive. I got mixed signals, as it felt super organised and high end when it came to make up and accessories, but a different vibe everywhere else. It was also annoying to have shops inside, because it meant you had to pay or leave your stuff if you wanted to access, as "you were leaving åhlens" in the signs. Some parts were too narrow to walk by and felt like one would hit something by accident, and other were too wide. Odd.

“Like a Department Store Designed by a Committee on Red Bull” Åhléns City is the IKEA of chaos. It’s big, which means you can probably find a snow shovel, a cashmere scarf, and a scented candle shaped like a hedgehog, but not the one very normal thing you actually came for. Walking in feels like being swallowed by a stylish octopus. There are a loads little micro-stores, each pretending the others don’t exist, all silently screaming for your attention with 30% off signs and desperate energy. It’s less "one-stop-shop" and more "every-stop-confusion." Need help? So does everyone else. And they’re all in line for the same two escalators that seem to lead to the same floor you were just on. The vibe? Imagine a Hunger Games arena where the tributes are just trying to find a phone charger. Bonus point for the fact that you’ll get your daily steps in just trying to leave. Would I go back? Only if I’m already lost in Stockholm and need shelter. Or if I suddenly decide I need a €90 throw pillow and a life crisis.

Very nice place for shopping in the center of Stockholm. Åhléns City is a large department store with 4 floors full of clothing, cosmetics, home goods, and more. One thing I really liked — there’s free Wi-Fi throughout the entire building, which is super convenient if you need to look something up or translate. On the second floor, there’s a restroom — it costs 10 SEK and only accepts card payments. Right next to it, there’s a café where you can relax. You can sit on high bar stools at long tables or choose the cozy low sofas with coffee tables — a very chill atmosphere. The selection is huge, and what’s great is the amount of deals like “2 for 1” or “3 for 2,” especially on cosmetics and home items. You can easily spend a couple of hours here even if you didn’t plan to buy anything. A comfortable and useful stop, especially if you're near T-Centralen or just looking for a warm, welcoming spot downtown.

Pleasant place to go shopping, especially when it's cold outside. Plenty to see and a wide variety of products, set right on the busiest street in Stockholm.

Nice department store resemble stockman. You can find here home accessories, perfumery, clothing and shoes. Nothing special but if you are around for shopping you definitely can visit here

Yelp
Åhléns City is a large department store in the city centre of Stockholm from a large department store chain as Åhléns has locations in almost every city in Sweden to the point they have 18 stores in its' capital, Stockholm alone and Åhléns are also the fourth largest group of fashion retailers in Sweden. Unusual for a chain department store, it is notable enough to have its' own Wikipedia page on the Swedish website and it was sadly the sight of the terrorist attack on Stockholm in 2017 which means it is also blue-graded by the Stockholm City Museum, which corresponds to the requirements for building memories in the Cultural Heritage Act. The store is pretty large - it is actually the largest in the Åhléns brand to the point this store alone makes up 20% of the company's revenue according to reports and it is a pretty decent store mainly for fashion and home - there isn't a great deal of food and drink here but there is a Joe's Juice Bar inside the department store, which seems to be common at many Åhléns locations including ones located in shopping malls around Stockholm County. The selection of beauty brands is much better than other department stores, especially other Åhléns locations. A pretty good store and a large department store, it might not be as impressive as NK nearby and lack a decent food selection but it is one of the two great department stores in the city centre of Stockholm and that surely warrants a four-star rating.

Yelp
Kind of a hard store to figure out. The signs by the escalator are in Swedish so we got off where there were things we wanted to see. On an upper floor there are Swedish jigsaw puzzles and more upscale souvenirs but you have to roam to find them. On a lower floor where the T is, they have cheaper cosmetics including a Swedish brand, Isadora which is supposed to be good. There is an Apotek (pharmacy) on that same floor. One floor below that is a grocery, Hemkoft, which is quite large and pretty reasonably priced and good quality. I found it enjoyable just walking around and seeing products that are different than what you would find in a Macy's in the U.S..

Yelp
This is one of the biggest department stores in Stockholm's shopping district. The department store itself is huge with a supermarket in the basement. They also have restaurants and cafes as well. I actually came here a week after the terrorist attack and it was business as usual except for the crowds of tourists outside putting flowers by the windows. They have a good selection of makeup, clothing, and accessories. They also have free wifi throughout the whole store which was nice.

Yelp
Åhléns,when you still money from gift card,at least you should say sorry for inconvenient.Plus would good if you give back the same amount of money. You stole my money twice in a raw and this is too much. You've turn my Christmas shopping into hell. You have the worst customer service.

Yelp
If you are agoraphobic or crowds make you feel rage, then give this Åhlens a pass. Since it is located adjacent to the major train hub, T-Centralen, it is teeming with tourists and local shoppers. However, if you can tolerate the crowds, I highly recommend the Åhlens brand products, in particular their tights. I am tall, and am always on the hunt for the holy grail of good quality leg wear with a crotch that doesn't end at the knees. Åhlens' hosiery department is a wonderland of fun options in all different weights, patterns, and sizes. Ask one of the staff ladies if you're not sure how the Euro sizing converts to your measurements. You might not have thought you needed tights in Stockholm, but now you know!

Yelp
I love Department Stores. Department stores and grocery stores and markets are my top 3 places to hit up when I'm new to a city. All while fuelled by the city's best coffee. So, I guess *4* places to hit up. When I was in Stockholm several years ago I remember going crazy at Ahlens, a Swedish-owned Department store. On every floor they had a mini display of "best of Swedish" brands, and their house-brand of knitwear really impressed me. Given that my name starts with an "A", the white with bright red "A" Ahlens bag was something I kept for months after my visit, framed in a frame. Hmm. So yes. I really had fond memories. This trip, however, it felt tired. Maybe the weather was too hot? Maybe it was a weekend and so packed to the gills? Whatever it was, Ahlens was not the experience I had romanticised. The basement grocery store smelled dank and was dark. The "contemporary designers" selection was minimal. The highlighted products were something I could pick up at the airport. Just not...*special*. I'm sure if I lived in Stockholm Ahlens would be a good go-to for Department Store staples (small appliances and new socks and pillowcases and functional stuff!). As a tourist, though, it didn't provide a special experience to go out of my way for. Off with those nostalgic rose-coloured glasses, I guess. Yelp note: the baby stuff is pretty dang cute, I must confess. A newborn in a thick-knit Ahlens-brand sweater? Yep, that's a winning combination right there, so stock up to ensure that the tots in your life are the coolest kids on the playground!

Yelp
This Åhlens is like no other. It is the best one out there. It has all the makeup brands that many other ahlens do not carry. Plus, a huge selection of fashion clothes, big shoe selection, good kids department, men's fashion, and the like. Love this place!

Yelp
If NK is a Neiman Marcus, Ahlens is a Macy's? Very accessible, commoners' department store. You can even find Ahlens City stores at rural area in Sweden. I heard that this is a largest department store chain.
