As a mom of 3, I was looking for some rest and opportunity to connect with my new baby. I came with my 5 week old and the ladies at Ahma took such great care of me. I left feeling so much more like myself, connected to my baby, and with some new favorite snacks :) Whatever I needed support with, the doulas were there to help. They even helped take some cute pictures of my baby and I in matching robes. Donna helped me give my baby a bath late at night. Highlights of my stay were spending time in the parent lounge just chatting about motherhood over mocktails, taking multiple uninterrupted showers, the in room massage that made me feel so relaxed, and the delicious meals delivered to my room. I felt so pampered and supported! Not to mention the Waldorf Astoria is beautiful and I enjoyed daily walks with my newborn. I was so sad to leave, and would recommend coming here to everyone. I will definitely come back if I ever have another baby. Thank you to Esther for creating a space for parents, especially mothers, to feel so supported! Truly an amazing experience overall and worth every penny!

My husband, newborn, and I spent five days at Ahma’s postnatal retreat in March 2025, and it was the perfect first family getaway. After a tough pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period, I arrived physically and emotionally depleted—and left feeling rested, supported, and more confident as a new mom. From the very beginning, communication with the team was exceptional. Esther was so warm and empathetic on our first call, and the care continued throughout our stay and even after we returned home. The doulas were truly wonderful—gentle, experienced, and incredibly attentive. It’s not easy to build trust quickly, but we felt completely at ease knowing our baby was in such good hands and always nearby whenever we wanted. The Waldorf setting was beautiful and calming, with lovely grounds and ocean access that really helped my healing. The space felt luxurious, but also warm and welcoming—like a true home away from home. Above all, it was the people who made the experience so special. Esther, Julie, and the entire team made us feel genuinely cared for. We’re so grateful for the support and would wholeheartedly recommend Ahma to any new parent looking for rest, guidance, and a little extra magic in those early weeks.

I recently had the fortune to stay at Ahma & Co for my postpartum recovery. First, I chose this particular postpartum retreat after extensive research comparing similar centers in the area, and now that I have experienced it, I could not recommend Ahma enough. It truly allows mothers to fully relax, recover, and bond with the baby in the most delicate period after the birth. During my stay, I also had access to lactation experts around the clock, who truly made a difference in my breastfeeding journey. Nutritional postpartum/lactation dedicated food and drink, as well as a little bit of pampering, are the cherries on top.

We had an incredible time at Ahma & Co. The entire team was warm, friendly, and professional. The facilities were absolutely amazing. My husband and I were able to go to dinner just the two of us and trust that our son was in safe hands. We explored the resort as a family and spent time at the Beach Club which was beautiful. The postpartum curated menu provided by Ahma & Co was nourishing and delicious. We had the best experience and will definitely return with our next baby!

BLUF: Exceeds expectations across categories - Personalization, Level of Luxury, Privacy, Inclusiveness, Communication, Education, Safety (for the entire family), Location/Accommodations, and Staff expertise. Financial commitment, but well worth it if capable. Over the past year, we did hours of research across the US, as well as internationally, as we explored options to promote postpartum health and wellness, post-delivery. While postpartum care and attention is burgeoning as a focal point in developed countries, many companies are struggling to define their target market and business model. While others are focused on balancing commercial viability, consistency at scale across locations, serving the mid-market, and service levels using contractors - Ahma seems to be the only one to have truly figured that out. Esther and Christina have anchored this partner-inclusive experience solidly into the upper echelon of the luxury category. They have seamlessly integrated the Waldorf Astoria experience into their own - so that both business models flywheel each others' strengths and core competencies; the Waldorf and Ahma immerse you as one entity, making everything convenient. Many destination experiences begin upon check-in and end upon check-out. Ahma's experience begins well before, and doesn't end upon your departure - something we really appreciate(d). We had already been using apps to track our newborn's activities (feeding, etc), and Ahma was happy to integrate their own app system with our existing data to create continuity. Additionally, they were proactive at reviewing our existing Doulas' notes/tips/schedules to ensure further continuity during our stay. Overall, across the categories mentioned previously, we were extremely happy with our experience (8 nights) - in fact, we will be returning in the near future - a testament to our experience and trust in the Founders and team. Recommendations and Tips: - Reach out early and contact the team, as this is a small and intimate experience. We imagine there will be lengthy waiting lists soon, if not already. - Don't hesitate to prompt the team with your specific needs (dietary/other preferences). - Consider bringing your partner - we both felt educated and supported throughout our stay. - Don't feel guilty about oversleeping, and being pampered. Your little one is in expert hands and that's why you're there. Stealing from Michelin's 3-star definition: "Worth a Special Journey" - this place is a destination post-delivery.

Esther and her team are amazing. We felt comfortable leaving our baby with her team which as first time parents I wasn’t sure we would. They took such good care of our little one and us. We went at 6 weeks which may be a bit later than other parents but it was amazing for us. We were sleep deprived and it was the perfect moment to catch up on some sleep and some time just the two of us. We will be back if we ever have another baby!

Esther has put together a fabulous team and curated a wonderful healing experience for postpartum mamas. The doulas are incredibly sweet and knowledgeable about baby and mama care. It was wonderful having 24/7 doulas to care for my baby so I could have a chance to rest, relax, and take some time for myself. They were so responsive on the app and I was able to sneak peeks at my little one while he was in the nursery on the iPad they provided. The doulas were so invested in taking good care of baby AND me -- they went above and beyond to provide personalized and exceptional care. The meals are curated by Chiyo and they are SO delicious and nurturing. I loved that the menu was set up for you so you didn't have to even think about picking out what to eat. Every meal was fantastic! I had two in-room massages that were out of this world. Between recovering from my delivery and breastfeeding around the clock, my body was in dire need of some TLC. The location is absolutely gorgeous! My husband and toddler visited and we took advantage of the Waldorf's many amenities and private beach club. I also loved being able to go for a walk along the beach everyday - something about being near the ocean is so calming and restorative. This retreat was one of the best investments we made for my physical recovery and mental health. Thank you!!!

My husband, baby, and I stayed at Ahma and Co Postpartum Retreat for 3 days. The hotel was absolutely beautiful- one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The retreat was a magical and healing experience. We were taught about baby wearing, maternal mental health, and couples connection after having a baby. The retreat meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) were delicious. I wish we could go back already.
