Ahoy! Hostel

I’d highly recommend this hostel to any young travellers wanting to stay right in the heart of Prague. The rooms and bathrooms were incredibly clean and constantly checked and we never had a single issue. Just a heads up, there are a few flights of stairs so be prepared for that. They ran free drinking games in the hostel every night, followed by a bar, club and pub crawl for just €8, which included shots and free entry. Such great value. Our host on the final night was Di and he genuinely made the entire trip. He was hilarious, welcoming and made sure everyone felt included from the start. The energy he brought completely set the vibe for the night and every single person we spoke to said the same thing. I’d 100% recommend this hostel and especially doing a night out with Di. Katie was also great fun!!!!!

Best hostel! Great location and people 🥂Absolutely loved my stay here. Di is a super host for the pubcrawl. He made us so comfortable, so easy to make friends and open up! Sang a lotttt, laughed a lott, played a lot of boardgames💃 There are always too many things going on in the neighbourhood and Di keeps an eye out for the best things to do and makes sure we all have a good time. Really appreciate his efforts for making all my three nights there absolutely amazingggg!

Unfortunately, my experience at this hostel was very disappointing due to the behaviour at reception. My brother urgently needed to collect his luggage because he was about to miss his flight. According to him, when he initially tried to explain this, he was told to wait until a check-in was finished, without being given the chance to properly explain the urgency. When I later came to reception to help, the situation escalated. What I found unacceptable was not the waiting itself, but the way we were spoken to. When we tried to explain the urgency, the receptionist responded with “I don’t care.” Later, when I asked where I could formally express a complaint and mentioned that I was still a paying guest with a reservation for the same night, I was told “It is my place and I will do whatever I want.” When I asked when the manager (Peter) would be working, the answer I received was “next year,” said in a clearly ironic manner. As a foreign guest, this made me feel dismissed, powerless, and disrespected. I fully admit that the situation became tense and that voices were raised, but professional hospitality should never include such language or attitude toward guests. This was especially disappointing because my previous interaction with the owner had been very positive. Unfortunately, this incident completely overshadowed that experience. I would not recommend this hostel based on how conflicts and stressed situations are handled at reception

Stayed there twice for weekends coz of their location and friendly staff. The rooms are nice and clean. The lobby area is cool for a short hang out. The people working there are super helpful and friendly- especially Matina who was there both the times I visited. She always put on a smile and recommended places to eat and visit. She and another person at the reception went out of their way to help me reschedule my stay dates and even followed-up for refund which really made my trip. Thanks Matina and kudos to the entire hostel team. Will definitely stay there again and recommend my friends.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! From the moment I arrived I felt very welcome — the hosts are super warm, friendly, and always up for a nice chat. Katie was such a lovely host, it honestly felt like coming home. The location is perfect, right in the center, and the atmosphere makes it really easy to meet people. The pub crawl was one of the highlights of my stay — such a fun and social way to meet other travelers, and it really helped create a friendly community vibe. Even if you arrive solo, you’ll quickly feel part of the group. The dorms were really comfortable, with curtains around the beds that gave a lot of privacy. Everything was always clean, and I had no issues at all with hygiene or bed bugs. One small point for improvement: sometimes it wasn’t very clear when new roommates would arrive, so it could be a little surprising to suddenly find new people in the room. Of course, that’s not always easy to manage, but maybe giving guests a heads-up could make it smoother. Also, for solo travelers, female-only and male-only dorms would be a nice option. Overall, I absolutely loved my stay — warm atmosphere, great people, fun activities like the pub crawl, perfect location… I’d definitely recommend it to anyone!

Absolutely lovely and nice hostel in the heart of Prague, mainly for the backpakers who really want to experience something. Every day they have a hostel integration with drink games and a pub crawl - trust me, you will experience one of the best moments in your eurotravel life. Especially because of amazing Katie, the best party guide and the Irish Princess of Ahoy! Hostel - she's gonna show you, what does it mean "Czech nightlife". I absolutely reccomend this place!

The locations is impressive, you won't need public transport at all (even though you can get trams, busses and metro if you need), it is walkable to everywhere.|The atmosphere is cool, really good quality beers for a low price. Also, Kitie's pub crawl is amazing.|Rooms are clean and nice, with private bathrooms. Service is impressive, and Peter is a legend! |It is definitely a bargain!

Stayed here for two nights (private room with double twin beds and shared bathroom) and booked about a week or two in advance on a whim. WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMMEND especially if you are a study abroad student! The pricing is great and very reasonable for such an incredible location in the heart of old town. Clean showers and room, closet with storage, towel hangers, accesible amentities like hair dryer, cups, kitchen, convertors, etc. They are able to hold your luggage as well and have such a friendly and helpful staff. Check in and check out was quick and easy.
