My opinion might be unpopular, but I’d still like to share it.
I had heard many good things about this bakery and finally decided to visit. The place is very small and has its own charm, but there are barely any seats, so it’s not really a spot to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. The staff was really very friendly. The selection, however, was quite limited: a few filled croissants, danish and pain au chocolat, that’s all I think.
I decided to try “the cheesecake croissant”, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The croissant itself was bland and mediocre, lacking balance in both salt and sugar. The cheesecake filling left a sour aftertaste, and the combination just didn’t work for me. The price (€6) felt a little bit excessive. For that amount, you could get a full cheesecake and a couple of decent croissants elsewhere (I’ve had far better croissants and cheesecakes in Vienna, both in taste and quality).
I understand this bakery has its fans, and that’s great. But for me, it just didn’t live up to the hype. As they say, everyone has different tastes, and that’s a good thing :)
