Ahu Bay

We’ve stayed here twice in the last two years, for about 4-5 days. From the moment you arrive, everything is impeccable -location is divine, rooms are impeccably designed, the staff is absolutely lovely including the life guard who took us to the nearby beaches, the chef is amazing and customised our food to our tastes while serving some of the nicest Sri Lankan food. Everyone is so warm and welcoming, you cannot ask for a better place than here to relax. Would definitely be back for a third visit soon.

We had a great 4 night stay at Ahu Bay. It was nice that Nilanga messaged ahead to discuss arrival time. Having a room right on the beach was a real treat and the private pool was kept spotless by the team. The team couldn’t do more for us during our stay, making adjustments to cocktails to suit ours tastes. We ate at hotel twice and both times really enjoyed the dishes we tried, it’s clear there’s a talented chef in the kitchen!

But what truly made it unforgettable was the people. Everyone working there was soooo friendly and genuinely kind from the moment we arrived until the very last goodbye. You can feel how much they care. If you’re looking for a place that’s relaxing, beautiful, and full of heart, Ahu Bay is the one. Can’t wait to come back! 🤍

I had the pleasure of staying at AHU BAY recently, and the experience was truly outstanding. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional — warm, thoughtful, and seamless. The room was immaculate and tastefully decorated, offering a perfect mix of comfort and style. It felt like a true retreat, the kind of space that instantly puts you at ease. Every element, from the dining to the facilities, was handled with such care and precision. It’s rare to come across a place where everything feels so well-executed. I’d absolutely return without a second thought.

Ahu Bay is an exceptional hotel. While it is not cheap by any means, you truly get what you pay for. My wife and i visited for our honeymoon, so it was well worth it. We even got a cake! The service is some of the best I have experienced, with all members of staff being very attentive and genuinely all were happy to be there. Fantastic staff! The location is also incredible if you are looking for a quiet getaway on a paradise like beachfront. The rooms are also very spacious and comfortable with all amenities. The food was also 10/10, I had one of the best filet steaks I’ve ever eaten at this hotel, which was also included in the half board price. Each serving felt like it was a high end Michelin style restaurant. I would return here for sure.

Beautiful hotel loved the pool . Staff lovely and food fabulous . I am Celiac and dairy intolerant and they looked after me very well. Our room was beautiful with balcony and ocean view. Highly recommend this hotel . |It was the last night of our 14 days tour in Sri Lanka and absolute highlight.

Rooms was lovely with a delightful pool. Great views over the beach. Excellent food and great service. Not sure I agree with some of the other reviews about the beach it was plenty big enough, they provided a lifeguard and also we had no issue swimming in the middle between the rocks on either side where it is sandy. With so few guests there were no shortage of beach loungers or cabanas either.
