Ahyeon-dong Ganjang Gejang

It is a small restaurant not even has a toilet but share their own toilet with their neighbor . The crab were fresh both types. The soy sauce ones were a bit small but the spicy one were big. Both taste good. Soy sauce is not too either salty nor sweet. The spicy one was tasted just right for me not too sweet or spicy. We ended up ordered one more soy sauce type and spicy type!

A tourist-friendly Korean restaurant where the staff can speak English! Quiet ambience. Soy sauce marinated crab is not as meaty as expected but tastes fresh and has a good amount of roe. It’s served with hot tofu stew and purple rice too.

This place is quite nice. The owner is quite fluent in English. I especially liked the soy marinated crab. I found it quite fresh and sweet. But my sis says there’s a bit of fishy taste, so people who are sensitive to that may not like it as much. The spicy marinate is not as nice. It covers the taste of the crab I think, and the marinate is not as fragrant. It was nice that they had cooked meat/squid options for people in the group that did not like raw crab. We ordered spicy pork and squid, but those were pretty average, definitely not as good as the crab. My only complaint I guess is that the crab portion size is a bit small…I think it was just 1 small crab for a single serving for 23,000 won…considering there are crab buffets for around 10-20k won more.

I've come here around 11:20 on Saturday, there is no line, it was easy to get in, this restaurant served soysaucecarb with reasonable price 27,000 korean won compared with others, staff can speak English fluently, no worries, very tasty umani comes out from crab, you should try combination with rice and crab and korean seaweed, which is very nice for me, I think many foreigner come here.credit card is acceptable.

The absolute best place to satisfy your raw marinated crab cravings. You must get the Soy Sauce Marinated Big Sea Crab (27,000KRW as of May 2024) Have been to this place 4 times now, and every time i look forward to the next time i can go back! The owner is also extremely friendly, and he serves customers with such good attitude. Will always come back as long as this restaurant is open 🫶🏻

Have to give this a 5 stars as it’s the best ganjang gejang I’ve tried and so much better than Singapore, cheaper too! The soy sauce one is really tasty and fresh, while the spicy one is damn shiok. Owner was really nice as we were there before it’s closing for lunch break but they let us in knowing we are tourists. Will be back again!

Crab is fresh and taste great with the rice and seaweed. Hot soup on the house compliments well with the cold crab and rice. My partner is not a fan of raw crab hence we ordered the spicy octopus, not great really. The dish was watery and probably the least tasty spicy nakji dish I have ever tasted so far, maybe it's a different recipe of its own. Then again, it's a raw crab shop and the crab is definitely decent. Next trip I will try out the ganjang gejang buffets that's been running wild on tiktok. I spotted one at Gwangjang market too but didn't have space for it at that time.

Really food cold crab with a very friendly host. They have a few types of crabs to choose from so it does warrant a few repeat visits. Only thing to note is the bathroom is outdoors so best to wear the provided plastic gloves when eating!
