Staff were so hospitable. So pleasant and kind. Breakfast was lovely and the room was great. Cave dwelling with so much charm. Shower was open plan be mindful of your sharing with a friend. The pressure and heat of shower was unique.

we spent 2 nights and the room is definitely over expectations. It’s clean, stylish in the cave. And 5 star world class mattress makes u a wonderful rest. The location is good for car to access. Altho the TV and electric down a bit, the landlords are helpful. Just you need some patience to contact them.

Ai Maestri is located on a central location in the Sassi neighborhood with many restaurants close by. Super friendly service. The interior of the b&b is sublime. Greatly recommend

I recently stayed at AI maestri Rooms&Cafe in Matera and I would absolutely recommend this hotel. The owners are incredibly friendly and professional, especially Nicola. He went above and beyond by taking us to his restaurant outside of the Sassi when we arrived in Matera and couldn't find any restaurants open for dinner. This level of care and hospitality made our stay truly memorable. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, and the overall atmosphere was charming, the location is perfect. Highly recommended.

A gem in Matera ! The room we had (Queen) was absolutely wonderful, spacious with an amazing design. The hosts Nicola and Valeria were very helpful and kind. We recommend this place 100% as it’s in the center of Matera.

Excellent stay. Beautiful room (nr 1). Top design. Breakfast is good - Italian, so don't expect bacon and eggs ... They unfortunately don't offer the possibility of registering your license plate so that you can drive up there to unload the luggage. It's quite a walk (10 or 12 minutes, and a lot of steps) from the area where you can park for free. ||Nicola was kind and helpful in giving us sightseeing trips. Matera is wonderful - if you can take the walk down and up the canyon to have a view at the caves on the other side and at the city in the morning sun, it's worth the effort (but maybe not in the hot summer months ...).
