This restaurant is a true gem — the kind of place you stumble upon and immediately wish you could take home with you. Every dish bursts with authentic Greek flavours and authenticity. The staff are exceptional and setting is picturesque. If you’re in Nafplio and want to experience true Greek hospitality and unforgettable food, don’t miss this place. Every detail — from the service to the presentation — shows passion and pride. Easily the best meals we’ve had in Greece. ❤️🇬🇷

We had poor service from the start. Nobody was there to seat us so we had to pick a table and sit. We finally get a waitress with menus that were terrible. The menu was not a printed menu it was a hand written menu it looked like a mess. We we're debating if we should leave but decided to stay. Other guests got free bread and olive oil in a small dish. Our bread was not free and our olive oil was in a small bottle. The food was great it was delicious but I didn't like the service, especially from the men. They we're rude. The other guests got seated right away, got menus and free bread and got their bills quickly upon request. I asked the male waiter for the bill and he looked like he didn't care and it was a bother to ask. 10 minutes went by so I asked again with the other male waiter and he already had it like he was holding on to it to make us wait. They we're rude to us because we are tourist with dark skin. There was definitely a difference in treatment with the other white tourists.

We ended up at this restaurant by pure chance, just looking for a place to eat in Nafplio, and it turned out to be one of the best surprises of our trip. We were a group of 7 (4 adults and 3 teenagers), and the staff welcomed us warmly, arranging everything for us within minutes. For many of us, it became one of the best dinners of our long Greek holiday. We started with excellent Greek salads, fresh and flavorful, followed by well-cooked, tasty meat dishes served in generous portions. The large cheese platters are also worth trying, especially at the end of the meal. Another highlight was the house wine — a lovely rosé, very pleasant to drink and only €12 per bottle, which was a real bargain. In the end, the bill was more than reasonable, averaging around €20 per person including wine and plenty of food. A truly authentic and friendly spot with great value for money. If you are in Nafplio, this tavern is highly recommended.

Favorite restaurant in town. So good we came here twice in a row. Great wine list. Food is excellent and is served quickly. Popular so there can be a wait.

Some of the best food we had in our week travel through the southern part. We had the amazing lamb and beef stew. Highly recommended! Prices were not the cheapest but fair.

We had a solid meal here during our visit to Nafplio. Everything we had was enjoyable and service was efficient. The flavours felt unique compared to other things we had enjoyed thus far on our trip. They were accommodating about us moving tables, as the smoke in the patio became hard on my lungs and we opted to move inside. The apples with honey for dessert was a lovely end to the meal.

We had dinner at Aiolos Tavern for 2 people. Ordered: Lolita salad (the vegetables were fresh and the dressing was well-balanced. However, there were too many croutons, and unfortunately, they weren’t very crispy.) Raw artichoke (overly sour and didn’t quite work for our palate.) Grilled sausage (flavourful overall, though one piece was overcooked - almost burnt, while the other was nicely done.) Alkioni (from the specialties section - It was a generous portion, around 350gr.) Wine (Palivos and Aivalis - One of the highlights was their impressive wine list. Enjoyed both great character and perfectly paired with the food.) Pricing-wise: We expected it to be a bit more affordable than Athens, especially since the high season hasn’t fully started. But prices were comparable to top spots in the capital. We paid €63 in total. Service: The most disappointing part. It was hard to get the attention of the staff, making eye contact to place an order took effort. They even declined to toast the bread, saying they were too busy, which didn’t leave the best impression. Atmosphere: We sat outside on a charming little side street, which offered a pleasant and authentic atmosphere.

The food was really good—fresh and flavorful. What was frustrating, though, was the wait time. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for our order, while other tables who arrived after us were served and even finished before we got our food. It definitely took away from the experience.
