Airborne Kite & Surf Adventures and Eco-Village

Very calm, beautiful and unique place to stay in Paje. Perfect location, close to the main beach, bars, supermarket and the gym. The place is surrounded by nature, where you can spot wildlife of monkeys, bushbabies and birds. Feels like staying in the forest, trees make a perfect shadow from heat and create a cooler air. Room is very clean, comfortable and has nice details. Wifi and other amenities work perfectly, outdoor kitchen is always well maintained. The host is very friendly and helpful, he loves nature and takes care of it. Also had a morning boat surf trip with the host, which was unique experience. Very recommended, will stay here again on my next trip to Zanzibar.

I loved this place! It was the perfect combination of good vibes, great kite surf with fantastic downwinders and wonderful people in a little nature heaven. |Starting from an initially planned stay of 10 days, I ended up staying 23 days. |The village is a beautiful property of small forest with a few tents, bungalows, the tree house and villa of course. You can hear birds or bush babies at night, who might also visit you if you're staying in the tree house. There, I even watched a cat - bush baby fight one night :) The place is just amazing with lots of attention to details. Hot water however would have been a nice addition to the village.|Breakfast was excellent, you can order your prefered meals to your room or common areas. Sometimes BBQs are organized for everyone.|I have never stayed at a place with more friendly and welcoming people. You can feel that Sasha and Jan, the owners, care a lot for the place. And I guess they consider customers to be friends coming by for a visit. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. They directly included me in their activities, like going for dinner or parties.|Conditions for kite surfing were super, the kite surf center is close by at a less crowed beach section. B4, a nice restaurant - beach club is directly attached, providing food, drinks and music. Low tide meant walk over a sand bank and beautiful flatwater, when the tide comes in, you can kite to the reef and play with the waves. I loved the downwinders Jan offers. The longer one even ends at the rock restaurant, with a beautiful scenery.

We stayed 12 days in a tent in the Airborne village. We got a very good price, the location was perfect - just 2 walking minutes to the beach (second row to the beach). The tent was quite big, the bathroom spacious with a bamboo shower outside - no hot water but the weather is hot enough... Cleaning service every day.|We were lucky to meet a lot of people. The atmosphere is more one of a small community, not that of an impersonal hotel - it was great! We were invited to join the kite trips, surf trips, dinners, parties... We met a lot of super nice people with whom we hope to stay in touch.|Manuel the manager and Jan the owner were very present, making sure everything was good. Thank you guys! |We definitely recommend this place - probably one of the bests in Paje!

We stayed at the villa for two weeks and everything was great ! Jan is a great host, reliable, joyful, quick to respond and always ready to help with everything! The villa is fully equiped , the kichen is great, there is lot of space (two king size beds, one big living room with kitchen and open space ) and the garden is fantastic! It is located at walking distance from the beach and kite spots and is a great place to chill.

Surf Rental was great, good quality surfboards. We also went out to a few surfing spots for a good price, includes in the price surfboard hire, 2-3 hours surfing, delicious food and some beers. Airborne has the fastest boat to get out to the spots and the best knowledge to find waves in the Paje area and they won’t mislead you if there’s not likely to be any waves.

Airborne Kite and Surf Village is more than a village, its a family. ||Arriving in June 2020, my main objective was to escape corona-ridden Europe for a tropical paradise for a three week holiday. Three months later, I was still waking up in the beautiful sea view treehouse that had become my home. ||||Jan, the owner, is an incredible host. We shared countless unforgettable downwinders during which he taught me how to ride a directional board at the reef. But more importantly, he introduced me to all of his friends with whom we enjoyed many BBQs. ||||Ana, his girlfriend, is the warmest and most loving person. Who goes the extra mile to make sure everyone is happy. ||||Sunny, the yoga instructor and Robbie, the kite instructor, are both experts in their field who's passion rubs off on their students. ||||Emmanuel, the manager, and all the other staff are trustworthy, hardworking and extremely friendly. ||||If you are a kitesurfer looking for insane progression while getting to know the Zanzibari way of life and occasionally enjoy a boogie, Airborne kite and surf village is the place for you. ||||Karibu Airborne! I'm sure I will be back :)

We had an amazing stay at the Airborne village. We stayed in the tree house „bush baby“. The people are so friendly and the care a lot. The breakfast is delicious. Would go back immediately!!|We made many different excursions like the dolphin tour, safari blue or a spice tour in one of the different spice farms. Every tour was amazing and the organisation was perfect.

Tent rooms nestled away between greenery paired with a dog (Roxy) cats, ducks, and chicken.||Sasha and Jan (the owners) are great hots, and it feels more like you are there to visit friends. If you prefer solitude you will find it, if you want to mingle up and party and drink you will find it as well. The staff is very friendly. Please do not miss out in putting yourself in "Mama Magic" hands for an awesome massage or natural facial. The whole premises shows a lot of love to detail and passion. It's an amazing haven. I would like to suggest an Info Board in the kitchen for new announcements or even for the international guest to communicate and leave messages for each other, as wi-fi was very weak most of the time and you will not really run around with your phone. The community kitchen is a great place to cook and meet with other guests. However, it would be nice if the frig would get cleaned out more often.||The attached beach bar B4 has very friendly staff and quite flexible to my vegan requests, for some reason, there was different staff every day, hence the overall quality fluctuated as well.||Will definitely return - as I have to pick up my dog, hope you are taking care of Sox : ) keep up this atmosphere.
