beautiful hostel very central (5 minutes from the bus station and walking distance to the city centre) nice vibe, very friendly staff, spacious community areas. well equipped kitchen and very nice garden. we had a room with a private bathroom which was small but comfortable. heater worked well. water pressure and temperature were fine. nice breakfast (cheese sandwich and self made cookies). we loved the idea of being sutainable as a hostel (solar energy, free filtered water etc). would definitely come back!

I really really liked this place. Dorms were good, and with duvet covers (quite rare in Chile unfortunately). Great 'livingroom', outside area and a very kind guy working there in the evenings (forgot his name). Had a relaxed atmosphere, not too many rules, awesome! That it was permaculture based was a plus.

FABULOUS! We planned to stay for 2 nights and kept prolonging our stay to a week! Clean rooms and kitchen, friendly and helpful staff and just an overall relaxed and conscious vibe. They even got a beautiful garden full of herbs. Recommend! Thanks Joaquin, best Jana y Gabriel

Upon arrival the owner didn't engage with us but abruptly told a very lovely staff member to 'not forget the door code'. We felt like an inconvenience to the owner. Had good advice from other staff and friendly welcomes and good mornings. Be aware the Hostal only takes cash or PayPal. The communal areas are welcoming. The beds and one pillow each were really hard and I absolutely hate paying for a double bed and getting two pushed together singles. The walls are thin and if other guests are loud it's impossible to sleep. The room and bathroom was small but adequate. The breakfast was average;bad coffee, a small but tasty fruit, oats and yoghurt mix, hard bread with butter and jam. Be aware you have to pay for towels if you don't stay 3 or more nights. The water pressure on the shower was very very low. When we saw permaculture we expected permaculture gardens - but their interpretation is more about permaculture culture (water wastage). Our stay was okay but wouldn't stay again unless there were no other reasonably priced options

We chose 'Airesbuenos' for a variety of reasons including:||- sustainable ethos, which they live up to fully; quiet admirable in fact!||- reviews! Countless glowing reviews||- affordable (better than being in a standard hotel/hostel room, for many reasons)||||As it turns out, the hostel has a funky, unique vibe but is still warm and welcoming. Staff does everything they can to make you happy & comfortable. Breakfast was 'nice'.||||In aiming to be perfectly clear - which I try to do on TA - I'd give it a 3.7. All good reasons mentioned above but:||- no parking (which would be nearly impossible to do, and they send you about five blocks away to an appropriate/affordable spot)||- our room was cramped (sure, that's part of the 'mystique'/style of the place, but it was actually difficult for both of us to move in the room at the same time and one of us had to 'hug the wall' to sleep! This was in a private double)||Worth a stay if you're not too picky about these things.

Fantastic place, run very professionally. We had a private room, and it was great. Nice breakfast, and cozy garden. I saw complaints regarding the owner below: the woman has a lot on her plate, and the place is run very well, this is the important part.

Very a very warm, relaxing, and convivial environment. Wifi's decent, kitchen is handy, staff are really nice, breakfast is fresh and tasty. Permaculture principles are incorporated into the building, which can take a little adjusting to (hot water isn't available all the time in every season, for example) but I really appreciated the light footprint of my stay. As a bonus, there's a very friendly duck in the garden!

This hostel has definitely been one of my favorites in Chile! The staff was super nice and gave us great tips about what to do and where to go for food and drinks! Other than that the hostel was very clean, had really good showers, nice rooms, a lovely kitchen, good breakfast and a beautiful garden with a cute duck. We've really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it!
