Airlie Beach Hotel

This is a well run hotel across from the beach and esplanade. We went down to the main floor pub last night to watch the semi-final rugby league finals. The pub security kept the crowds from getting to wild , so we felt secure !

Ridiculously expensive drinks and bogan rock cranked to 11 at midday when it had looked like a quiet relaxing pub to stop at for a quiet beverage

Heart hotel was fantastic for one close to all amities , shops , cafe and walking distance was perfect

There is a barmaid who works there called Lisa and she wants to argue with you ..I asked her why are her lemonades 4 dollars when you are playing the poker machines ...They should be free and it looked like she got angry and said I have never heard that and doesn't know what I'm talking about so I Said I'm from Bowen and in 2 pubs they give free soft drinks and chocolate bars or peanuts..She raised her voice and said well it doesn't happen here and I don't think it should people should pay and drinks are not free not very customer friendly...I found her unfriendly made a complaint to the management..I thought a good establishment like that would employ more customer friendly people..

What a wonderful place ! What a lovely hotel ! Lovely ladies at the front desk . Hotel is central to everything and within walking distance of everything you want to do . I miss the place so much . Had an amazing vacay ! Definitely would return without hesitation !!!

The Pub We had dinner at The Pub at the Airlie Beach Hotel on a Monday night. It was so busy that we opted to have the vegetable, salad and dessert buffet for $25. It meant that we could eat in the gaming room (we didn't have a table reservation) and could eat straight away! The buffet was pretty good (cheesy baked potato and cauliflower & broccoli in cheese sauce was a hit), if a little bit expensive. Make sure that you have a reservation or be prepared for a wait!!

This is the second time I've recently dined at the newly renovated Capers restaurant and I would have to say I've been disappointed on both parts. On the 28th sept, myself and three others had dinner and drinks. We waited over and hour for our food. We weren't informed that there was going to be such a long wait for our meals either. Two of the meals came out cold and we're overall disappointing for the price we paid. Today I had breakfast there and while the food was great (pancakes) the coffee was burnt and tasted horrible. When I mentioned this to the waitstaff there was no apology or offer of replacement. Again... Disappointed! Overall - disappointing quality and service for the prices you pay. Customer service is lacking.
