Airport Craft Brewers

Airport Craft Brewers absolutely delivered! I had the chicken burger and it was incredibly good — juicy, flavorful, and definitely one of the best food options once you’re through the terminal. Our server, Mpho, was outstanding: warm, attentive, and just made the whole experience better. The portion sizes were generous, the price points surprisingly fantastic for an airport spot, and the Harveys spice & garlic sauce was the perfect touch. Highly recommend if you want great food and great service before your flight!

Very disappointing experience. I ordered a juice which wasn’t in the menu. The juice cost R95.00 for a 250ml bottle. If the price was in the menu or the waiter had informed me of the price, I would have left to avoid feeling like an idiot who would spend that amount on a few sips of mediocre juice. When I asked why they didn’t put the price in the menu, they said it’s in a different menu which I was not given. I bought the juice in the past and they seem to think a 100% price increase in the space of 2 years is reasonable. I disagree. The service could be better. The staff act like they are doing you a favour by letting you be there. I found the staff in the place to be rude and to lack compassion when I questioned why no one warned me about the insane pricing or gave me both menus. The restaurant also had a terrible smell of burnt meat inside the place and the cigarette smoke goes into the venue. I think there should be double doors as the smoke is getting into the airport air and there seems to be insufficient extraction. I highly recommend avoiding the place unless you enjoy the smell of burnt meat and enjoy breathing in second hand cigarette smoke.

I arrived early for my flight, and with the lounges requiring less than a 2-hour visit, I decided to join Craft brewers for a late lunch. It was excellent: from the friendly reception, through the excellent waitress’ service and up to the exceptional food! I will be back!

We had two large salads (chicken & avo on pic). Very good quality of food, nice service and locations. Great alternative to fast-food chains next door @ domestic flights terminal B, JNB.

We went to have a beer and did some beer tasting. The waitress was lovely and informative. I would recommend giving it a visit if you want to watch the planes and just chill a bit. It was awesome to see the planes while having a drink. At least you get a different experience. They specially made sure our order came quickly because we could not stay long and also added tables as we were a bit group. I’ve seen some negative reviews but I didn’t experience anything negative. Rather go with an open mind. There is no need to judge everything harshly.

Possibly the worst service I’ve ever received. We sat down to get two beers and two shots of tequila before checking in so we ordered and asked for the bill right away. The girl serving us asked if we’d be paying with card or cash which we responded with card. She then came back to ask if we could rather pay with cash and when we said we didn’t have any, she said there are ATMs in the airport and we should walk to one to get her cash. Outrageous request but as someone who used to be a waitress, I figured she had a slow day and just wanted something to take home so I considered sending her a tip in the form of an e-wallet that she could withdraw. Before the shots arrived, she came back to confirm if “gold” tequila was okay and we said yes. Time goes on and eventually the bill comes with two shots of Don Julio on the bill so I asked if this is the only tequila they had and she said no there are others. We didn’t specify what tequila we wanted so it’s common sense to ring up the house tequila and not the most expensive brand on the shelf. I told her we didn’t ask for that and she said “that’s why I asked if gold was fine” which makes no sense because EVERY tequila comes in gold / reposado. She didn’t argue further and said she’d get her manager which made me feel like she’s comfortable doing this and it’s something that happens often. The manager arrived and apologised but then asked us to pay anyway if we have the money which we obviously refused to do. I think this is very important but we were the only young black couple in the restaurant. Every other table was white and I can almost guarantee she never asked anyone else to walk across the airport so she could get paid in cash, nor did she charge them for something they didn’t order. After trying to manipulate us, the manager eventually agreed that we could pay the original amount which I still tipped for because I feel sorry for them both but honestly, their behaviour was disgraceful and should be addressed. What they both did was an attempt of theft and is reflective of such poor character. Will not be back. We visited on the 18th of December around 4pm and sat on the couches at the front of the shop if that helps to identify the staff and manager on duty because I did not get their names.

Great service Thanks to Lydia and Manqona Will definitely come back again....The management[ Amanda and Moses]where on the floor checking up on clients and where worries on my flight time .

Had a delicious IPA, however, the Wagyu burger was so underwhelming. For R190 you would expect brilliance. An unseasoned, tasteless patty, soggy bun that should have been pan fried, no cheese, and not a sense of “give me another bite”. ACB kitchen should be doing better than that. Burgers should be a joy to make and eat! This burger experience felt like one out of a petrol garage.
