Update: Here are the pros and cons of this golf course.
Pros: The course is in pristine condition. The clubhouse is quite nice for a Muni. The food is good and the bar is fun. The holes and greens are a heck of a lot of fun to play. The front nine features some very unique fairways that have you take clubs other than driver out on the tee box. The back nine are long and wide open. The greens look beautiful.
Cons: The cons are unfortunately very frustrating. This course almost always overbooks tee times during the summer. You can nearly guarantee that play will always be backed up. You can show up twenty minutes early and you'll be rushed onto the tee box, they'll yell at you if you don't. You are not allowed to book tee times as an individual golfer. You will pay more for the cart than you will for the greens fees. I get the feeling that whoever manages the city golf courses here simply wants to make as much money as possible off of tee times, at the expense of the enjoyment of playing at this golf course.
