Great overnight stay, comfortable room. Was able to check in early, pool area was very nice. Good happy hour food and drinks. Breakfast was good too. Staff were all very nice and super helpful. Recommend staying here. Update arrived back in the last afternoon to pick up my stored luggage. Afternoon staff are not very nice, borderline rude.

Google
Overall i give this hotel a 2 star rating, but a 5 star for the staff and location. The staff had a massive influx of people checking in due to many flight cancellations and it did take forever to check in, but they handled it very well. The first room we had was full of mold and had dead cockroaches. It was a health hazard and although I had low hopes at that point, the next room we got was a lot better. It was slightly musty but do able. The staff got us the new room very quickly. The location is great for those needing quick access to the airport with a shuttle. Our room was quiet and they had the extra items we needed for our stay.

Google
Good place to crash if you miss a flight due to a delay or just need a quick place to sleep overnight. Wouldn't recommend for a longer stay. If you want to eat breakfast in their restaurant, give yourself plenty of time—I waited 15 minutes for a hot tea. Eventually got up and left because it was taking so long to get my bowl of fresh fruit and yogurt.

This hotel was great. I decided last minute to stay when I arrived from Sydney and had a 12 hour layover. Shuttle picked me up and the driver was very helpful-even to this young woman that was not staying at the hotel but needed help finding her shuttle. Yes it is outdated. But clean and well cared for. The staff was so nice. From the front desk to the restaurant. Even this nice gentleman taking out the trash helped me with better bills to g buy water out of the machine (cash based - no credit cards). The pool was very clean but not resort like. More like a pool in your backyard with concrete. But it abuts the tikki bar and restaurant. Was fun that they were putting up Christmas decorations and had the music on. They were clearly into the spirit. Honestly, my favorite part was how crisp and clean the sheets were after I took a shower, when I got to my room to get rid of that off feeling you have after of all night travel-slept soundly for 3 hours…

Google
It's a fine hotel. Some reviews I think are a bit exaggerated. Everyone who stays here is coming after long travel so they aren't going to get the best sleep regardless and want something to blame. People were nice. Shuttle was quick. Beds were fine. Linens were clean

Google
Hotel room itself was decent but did smell like feet I had to request deodorizer and there were always a little roach on a wall. Their site says they have free parking and amenities but at the same time they charge you $40 parking and $30 amenities a day weather you use them or not. This was in sane. I wasn't planning to spend an additional $462 after using priceline. Very disappointed.

Google
Room is okay for the price you pay. Don't expect any great view. The service as far as the free shuttle is horrible. If you have time then is okay. If you have morning flights or is planning to arrived to Hawaii pass 9 p.m. don't expect the shuttle to be on time. Shuttle only hold 12 passengers so plan accordingly. Location is great but not worth the extra amenities charge. Expect $30 more charge once you arrived on top of your booking. Hotel Bar and shop close before and/or after 1030 p.m., you get two free drink but beware if your flight to Hawaii is after 10 p.m. and before 7 a.m.

Google
Two stars is for the five star service from the young lady who prepared our coffees this am. We booked a room with a breakfast, they said our rate was too low and would not honour it saying we didn’t book as a bnb. We booked directly through their central line and spoke to someone who confirmed we had it. They charge a $25 resort fee for the shuttle. Shuttle comes every hour in the morning and is on demand in the evening. Rooms are dated but expected for the price you’re paying.

Yelp
Not planning on staying long and need a spot for a short stay closest to the Honolulu airport? Then Airport Honolulu Hotel will do. Don't get me wrong, staff was friendly and everything was 'good enough', but this definitely isn't where you want to spend a vacation or stay for multiple nights. $200 for one night, less than 12 hours, room was okay... needs updating, more attention to cleanliness, dusty, thin towels, they do not offer 24 hour shuttle service as advertised (but did end up waiting 5 mins for us to book it from our gate after our delayed late night flight)... They did allow an hour late check out which helped us with our plans (which is earning the third star), so we checked out the pool. The restaurant is open to the pool area which makes ordering drinks and food convenient from the small pool. Don't count on attentive service, friendly enough, but not quick service at all. Pool was clean, area was clean and lush enough with palms to help bring a tropical ambiance in the middle of a business district. Another positive is there is a a Starbucks across the street within easy walking distance. In a bind, it'll do but didn't love it.

Megan R.

Yelp
In middle of the night the system was down. Can't pay in the morning. Won't offer a ride to a working hotel. Shuttle stopped working. Piece of shit hotel gave zero sympathy and zero options.

Maharlika P.

Yelp
Worst experience ever. Was quoted 150 and got charged 500$. The front desk lady was extremely rude Saturday afternoon 3p February 15. And THEN we come back from dinner and there is not a single spot for the 50$ parking we paid bc of an event that they overbooked for and the event people got priority. Insane. So we literally had to sit in our car for an hour to wait for a parking spot to open or get towed. Ridiculous. Literally waste of money, view of the parking lot, horrible customer service for essentially a motel 6. Do not go here whatever you do. Pick another cheap option. This one won't even be worth it. Extreme headache from start to finish

Happy C.

Yelp
This place will double charge your credit card and charge you a "smoking fee" when you don't even smoke. Yep, you read that right. This place is a complete scam and if you value your time, you won't waste it here. Pre-paid for a room I booked through Trip.com. Gave them a card for "incidentals" when we arrived. Slept overnight from 11pm to 6am and arrived home the next day to find out they had charged $523 to my debit card. When I called the next day the manager wasn't in and never called me back. They said we were charged a "smoking charge" even though neither my wife or I smoke. This place is a complete scam. Save yourself the trouble of having to dispute the charge with your credit card company like I had to in an attempt to recover the money they've attempted to steal from me.

Yelp
CLOSEST & CLEANEST You will not find a better hotel this close to the airport. The rooms are immaculately clean! POOL The pool is legit. Loungers are great and there are plenty of them. The pool and pool area is surprisingly big! STAFF IS AWESOME I showed up early having flown on a red-eye from American Samoa and they hooked me up with a complimentary early check-in. Thank you! COMPLIMENTARY SHUTTLE Starting at 5am, every hour on the hour. Perfect! SUMMARY If you have a layover and don't want to pay a ton of money to shuttle back and forth to the airport from Waikiki, this is your sport!

Vasa T.

Yelp
These hallways are hot, they resemble an asylum & elevators took forever to open. Parking is outrageous $42 and a $25 resort fee everyday? Where is the resort & no covered parking so we were soaked getting into our vehicle daily. What makes matters worse is I have a handicap child & if you came late good luck in finding a handicap stall ‍

Tyler L.

Yelp
Cockroach nymphs found in hotel room. Staff responded to this by saying, "Hawai'i has cockroaches" as if that changed anything about them renting out rooms full of cockroaches. Disgusting. If they fixed this, they'd be a 4-5 star place.

Andrew H.

Yelp
It's fine. If you're staying here you probably need a hotel close to the airport with a free shuttle: that's what this is. For the mainland, it's kind of expensive. For HI, it's one of the cheapest hotels you can get. I had to stay here because no rental car agencies are open on Oahu when most non-stop flights from Anchorage arrive.

Alysha L.

Yelp
I stayed there for two nights... i booked room through expedia and everything went smooth but the second day i checked out and checked back in. Stayed in all night wasnt feeling too good. When i woke up fir my flight at 6am i was getting ready and noticed that i had BITES all up the inside of my left leg and arm!!! I will never go back..

Eugene B.

Yelp
I initially booked for one evening. Now I'm rebooking for the rest of the week. Family emergency. Thank goodness the rooms are reasonable. You can also find good deals online using 3rd party services. This is a functional hotel. It's nearest to the airport. There's a free shuttle pickup and drop off service. The bar next to the front desk is ok and does the job. Vending machines include snacks, water, soft drinks, and even cup noodles to serve your late night munchies. The room is a great size. Good lighting and lots of power outlets. The flat screen LG TV has a base that swivels. Large drawers, microwave, coffee maker, and dual freezer/fridge unit. Although, I won't be swimming in this trip. There is a pool to unwind if needed. Ann at the front desk was so patient and helpful. Staff are friendly and helpful...tip them well:)

Mhadz D.

Yelp
Such a huge airport with friendly people. I think specifically for Hawaiian Airline, it's not too crowded which is very convenient if traveling with small kids.

Sho I.

Yelp
Not sure why this place has such a low rating! First off, you only stay here if you are transiting thru Honolulu, so don't expect anything fancy like the Ritz-Carlton. Room was comfortable enough for a night, fairly clean, comes with coffee, and equipped with AC. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There is also a FREE shuttle you can use that departs on the hour starting at 5am, as well as can pick you up from the airport if you call them upon landing. There are food and drinks sold at their lounge there - looked OK but I didn't purchase. There's also free Wifi that doesn't require a password (internet speed was decent). You can also walk to nearby shops and restaurants or have Uber Eats delivery. Knocked it off one star because I wish they provided some sort of breakfast, even if it has to be purchased. But, if you have airport lounge access like me, then NBD.

Yelp
Me and my family, wife and 3 kids stayed at this hotel for 6 to 8 hours due to flight delay. As soon as we went inside the room roaches welcomed us. My wife called to front desk and they said they can change our room but no guarantee if the new room will be roachless. My wife asked for manager they said manager will be available at 9:00 am, our flight was at 6:00 am and we were supposed to leave at 4:00 am. Before this garbage station we were staying at Sheraton Waikiki (no why to compare with this place). People please it is better to stay at the airport than go to this UNSANITARY "hotel". Think about your and your children's health. This place needs to be closed down by the Hawaii health department....

Georgina B.

Yelp
The most underrated hotel on Oahu. Central to everything for the business workers or families without the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Many shops and restaurants to choose from nearby. Navy Exchange and commisary is a 5 minute drive away and freeway access is also very close. Waikiki 15-20 minutes away and the amazing Central/West parts of Oahu are 20-30 minutes out. Costco, Sam's, Walmart, Target a mere 15 minute drive. Not factored in is our ugly Hawai'i traffic. LOL Clean rooms with exceptional customer service! Lots of parking, vending and ice machines on each floor. Wifi, ice cold ac, and a pool add to the simple perks. Also, a bar downstairs and business desk. Some may consider this a lower grade hotel but for the location, it is definitely worth it and very safe. Walking distance to McDonalds, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, IHOP, Dunkin, and some local restaurants as well. Minus 1 star for housekeeping not being offered daily and the cost of parking. I'm going to guess it is due to staff shortage. On that note, if you need to refill anything in the room, call the housekeeping line and they'll get it to you asap. Parking - we were charged $40/night. That adds up. When booking keep in mind the "transient" tax. We were quoted and booked at $570 including tax & ended up paying $700 including parking.

Lisa R.

Yelp
Fine place to stay if you want to be close to the airport. Nothing special, but also nothing bad about it. It's a 20-30 minute drive to the main parts of Honolulu (Waikiki etc). Fitness center was small and lacked signage, so we had to ask where it was (after looking around for a while lol).

Rohan D.

Yelp
This is your best choice if you're just breaking up a trans-Pacific flight. The other Honolulu hotels are too far in distance, not really right up next to the airport. This is also a good choice if you're just staying overnight in Oahu then immediately heading to one of the other islands. Modest, adequate, I think it's better than most "airport" hotels on the lower end of prices. There's really no high end airport hotel by Inouye Airport.

Stacy S.

Yelp
It's clean, close to the airport and not too far off a walk to some food places. If you need a place near HNL for one night, this is good. I can't really see any other reason to stay here when there are so many other options on the island It's only a few minute drive, but the shuttle only runs at certain times, so don't count on uber-quick shuttle service to/from airport

Steve N.

Yelp
Just a quick one night stay to catch a long International flight the next day. The room was clean and comfortable but nothing but the basics. Didn't need or expect anything more. Had a plate of wings when I get in at the Fish bar. They were probably the best wings I have ever had. I was very surprised. All the staff were excellent and I had no issues at all.

Natasha D.

Yelp
Much better than I was expecting based on some of the negative reviews. The airport pickup shuttle service was slow; you call once you have your bags and they tell you where to wait (the pre-arranged pickup area) but it was probably about 20+ minutes before the bus came. Also, the shuttle only does airport drop offs every hour on the hour. We ended up ordering an Uber for our early morning flight because we didn't want to be on a 5 am shuttle or wait for the 6 am. Otherwise the room was decent and air conditioning was functional. This is a place you would only stay for convenience and proximity to the airport. We walked to L&L's a Hawaiian barbecue chain restaurant for dinner.

namealohamauloa

Yelp
First of all I stayed here a couple of times before. But now they need to get rid of the bed bugs! Do not stay here!

Kendal C.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE‼ The 40 dollar parking is crazy the 10 dollar amenity fee and they didn't come and clean the room the entire time I was there for 3 days. This isn't a hotel this is a MOTEL SMH

Jr. F.

Yelp
WORST hotel in the universe This hotel has a bad smell e everywhere, from front desk, hall way, bathrooms, inside the rooms it's so so old burn down this hotel get a new one. I regret staying here Parking is $30 a night Bathroom by shop and front desk stinks as hell. Horrible smell Shuttle is every hour we had to wait for the never hour so we had to call an Uber Elevator keeps breaking Housekeeping is not everyday it's every 3 days.? Carpet is stink - smelly and old Honolulu needs a luxury hotel by the airport to represent your island take this piece of shit hotel down its an embarrassment

Linda N.

Yelp
It took three phone calls and a wait of 40 minutes to get picked up at the airport. No apologies or explanations.

Ada H.

Yelp
Simple and simple and affordable? We are here because hawaiian airline delayed our trip for 6 hours. Service is okay except I have to quarantine because they can't get their QR code thing straight. Not my kind of hotel for sure. But it it what it is. This hotel also has no utensils or anything. My Uber eat messed up my order and did not get us anything. Wifi doesn't really work either. Enjoy

Brian M.

Yelp
Immediately after arriving to the island my wife and I and our two dogs stayed here for quite some time. We were recommended to this hotel due to its price and pet friendly policies. Unfortunately the room we were originally given hadn't been cleaned so upon inspection they moved us to the other building. Due to COVID the restaurant, pool, and gym were all closed, so we were pretty limited at what we could do onsite. There is a small store that has pretty good hours to purchase any items that you may need, though the prices are higher than most stores outside the area. There is enough pay by hour/night parking for those staying in the hotel. There is an open park area for to relax outside or for you to walk your pets and a smaller enclosed park area to unleash your dogs. Most people are pretty respectful and keep their dogs to one side of this area to let you have your dogs in the other unless you both agree to have the dogs interact and run around with each other. Due to COVID rooms are only cleaned if you request. You place trash and recycling outside the door twice a day to get picked up and they bring toilet paper, towels, and sheets upon your request. Unfortunately the hotel is a bit outdated and needs a makeover. We had to buy and light candles to avoid the smell that the room had with the A/C on as it got too muggy without it on. When showering the water accumulated and didn't go down, causing our feet to take a bath as we showered. If they did a paint job and updated a bit it could be a great hotel. Overall the reason for three stars instead of less is because they have an amazing and attentive staff that helped us during our stay.

Jerry O.

Yelp
We always stay here when we come visit from California. Service is excellent and always hang out at the bar after touring the area.

Carley P.

Yelp
I would leave no stars if I could. The rooms were filthy- mold in the bathrooms, dirty carpets, the AC didn't work. It was so loud in our room from the broken AC and traffic outside that no one slept. On top of that, the employees are rude. They refused to let us stay in one room because of my baby, we were only there for a few hours to rest and shower. So I paid for a second room, ok fine, but then it was almost $100 more than they said. We brought my disabled grandmother and they put us in the furthest second building/ highest floor. So $500 later, I was wishing we had just checked out of the Aulani earlier and taken an earlier flight. I'm telling you for the cost, there are MUCH better places to stay.

Kayla M.

Yelp
PCSing and chose to stay at Airport Hotel because it's very pet friendly & less expensive than other hotels. Staff (most of them) are very friendly & accommodating. The rooms are nice & clean. The beds are so comfortable. They have a microwave, coffee maker and a very small mini refrigerator. Their free wifi is super slow. Did wish it was a lot faster. Parking can be hard to find in the evenings and might have to park outside the gate. I like that it's a gated area & have security on hand. Their fitness gym setup is quite weird and small. Wish they had mirrors around the free weights area. They have one universal machine, elliptical & treadmill. The dog park is accommodating and useful when it's not been raining for days. When it rains, it can get super muddy & dirty. So I've been walking my dogs along the sidewalk around the hotel.

Trice J.

Yelp
Friendly staff . However, the wifi is terrible. Rooms are dated. The hotel is located conveniently next to the airport and restaurants such as IHOP, L&L, Starbucks & Bug Kahunas pizza are a 5 minute walk.

Marc A.

Yelp
Customer friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows 5 out of 10. Very close to airport with shuttle service.

Vin S.

Yelp
The Airport Honolulu Hotel is okay for a night's stay. I wouldn't want to stay any longer than that, and the only reason that I'm here is because we missed our flight back home. The hotel is clean and relatively modern, but certainly nothing fancy. They have a small convenience store which sells snacks and beer, etc., as well as a swimming pool and on-site restaurant that I didn't try. There offer a convenient airport shuttle 7/24, which is great in case you don't have a car. The hotel is pet-friendly. The biggest problem the hotel has is it's location. It's pretty much right under the freeway and pinched between the freeway and the airport. The surrounding areas are all industrial and light commercial. So it's certainly not a pretty area. Stateside, this would be probably a lot less expensive than it is here in Hawaii, however.

Loc T.

Yelp
Service ok, room sucks . Bed sucks, price sucks . Luckily it's a business trip so I don't have to pay. But I highly don't recommend

Raevin R.

Yelp
Fine hotel for the price. We missed our flight last minute and this was the closest hotel! The lady at the front was nice and helpful.

Lia M.

Yelp
If you aren't looking to impress anyone and just need a clean bed in a central location away from Waikiki and/or you are looking for a hotel that is pet friendly- then Airport Honolulu Hotel just might fit the bill. Upon being displaced from our home after half our house burned down, my family and I were put in this hotel by the insurance company. It would not have been my first choice but it most certainly is not my last. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly and it is right by the airport so you can easily get to the freeway in either direction. It is the sister hotel to Best Western in Honolulu (right down the road). As mentioned before, this hotel is one of the few that I've come across that is pet friendly with a dog area for your fur babies to stretch their legs and do their business. It's located outside the hotel closet to the road behind the pool. The pool is pretty nice, though i have not personally dipped my feet in... ...it just so happened to be my view from room #258. Even-numbered rooms have a better view and slightly longer/deeper spaced but most are double beds, not kings. There is a convenient store open every day until 11pm within the hotel right in front Willoughby's restaurant. Willoughby's is open from Tuesday through thursday and then becomes 'the Plaza Cafe' from Friday to monday at the Best Western. Other food options nearby include but are not limited to the Big Kahuna pizzeria, IHOP, Dunkin Donuts, McDonald's, subway and much more. Conclusion: Worth it if all you need is a good location, a clean bed and/or have pets with you during your stay.

Kelsha H.

Yelp
Stayed here several times with my boyfriend for mini staycations. The nightly rate is unbeatable which is the reasoning for our frequent stays. The hotel room itself comes with everything you need: AC, television, mini fridge, microwave, WiFi. The bed is large, but a few times I've had to call room service for new sheets and pillow cases because they didn't look so clean. No complaints about the bathroom. I do think they need to clean their vents. Some rooms smell a bit musty and aged. Definitely need to work on customer service and hospitality. 3/5 times the person working at the front desk is all types of rude.

Faria I.

Yelp
Just spent a night here because our flight came in really late. It's a great one night stop over place, easy check in, can hold your bag bags for you too. They've got a beautiful pool and a gorgeous walkway to it. I wish I'd had time to use it and chill out in that area!!

Tev I.

Yelp
Good for a layover. McDonalds and L&L nearby. Free shuttle to airport. However if u arrive late at night, be sure to get something to eat before getting to hitel, everything cllosed.

Eric M.

Yelp
Home for the first 48 days on island for two humans, a cat and dog! For military families (with pets), this is the place you want to be. It's TLA approved and at the government rate, parking is waived for two vehicles and it's close to the NEX and commissary. Yes, it's a bit dated, the WiFi sure could use a significant boost, the fitness center is small (do burpees and/or go for a run!) and it's close to the freeway, but those are all minor things. My opinion, for those that complained, you should've done your homework, and if you had pets in tow, you should've boarded your pet separately and checked in at a 3+ star establishment in town. (Choices...) The team, from the front desk ladies and gentleman to the housekeepers, maintainers and security, is absolutely amazing. They function like a well oiled machine during these (Covid) times and understand what it means to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I was a frequent user of the computer in the lobby and witnessed times in which folks would, for some reason, pipe up with a little attitude at the front desk representatives - not a problem as the team took it and gave back Aloha with a smile. Professional, friendly, understanding and helpful. What more can one ask for from a hotel staff? Departure from the hotel to a permanent dwelling is right around the corner. Excited, yes, but a bit sad to be leaving the Airport Honolulu Hotel. As mentioned before, it was home for 48 days. To the hotel management, you have a wonderful team. To the front desk team, housekeepers/maintainers, and security: Thank you very, very much for everything! (Mahalo!) Stay safe and healthy! Aloha!

Lynn T.

Yelp
The front desk receptionist was especially difficult and not helpful or customer oriented

Scott S.

Yelp
Roaches in room and bathroom. Dirty towels with womens hair on them hung up in bathroom. Worlds loudest leafblower operating by pool at 7 am so no chance of sleeping after that. Terrible stay overall.

DeeDee B.

Yelp
This was a horrible experience. However, the beds were the worst part of it all. Unfortunately, this place was our last hope due to the fact that we had pets and because the state shutdown majority of places due to COVID or available hotels didn't want the hassle of people with pets. While I truly appreciate the help from the military liaison his professionalism and for being able to get us a room for our move this was probably one of the worst hotels we have ever had to stay at. Do not do long stays here unless you are desperate. The beds were so lumpy and springy that we all woke daily with body pain, even our teenage son, if we could even sleep at all. The pillows had no support causing neck pain for all of us everyday. I hurt so bad every single day that I actually had a dream and the real urge to throw the mattresses out of the 4th floor window. Thankfully, I remained somewhat sane and didn't do it. We had to call the front desk and ask everyday for towels because they didn't drop them off when they picked up the dirty towels that we had to put in the hallway for them to be picked up. Same with the trash and recycling. At one point, we just started asking for them to give us a few days worth so we wouldn't have to call daily. I pretty much had to clean our room myself, and call for linens when we wanted to have fresh linens to change myself. They don't have fitted sheets for the mattresses, which is rather annoying. Not sure if that is normal. I guess I never paid attention before. Oh, and toilet paper or any other things like coffee required us to call and ask for them. This was even after our 14 day quarantine was over. The room still never got vacuumed or cleaned by any housekeeping service during our stay. We didn't even bother asking since getting towels, toilet paper and other things was such a hassle. We even broke down and bought stuff from the store then had it delivered so we would have it on hand like toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags and cleaning supplies instead of having to call for it to be dropped off. We only started calling again when we finally ran out of supplies. The room size was large. The carpet was old and the room had a musty, moldy smell. The bathroom was a decent size. The shower was okay as far as pressure and hot water. The Internet was spotty. The AC unit was loud, but the temp stayed okay. We were going to buy a home, but decided to rent instead until we know for certain that we are staying longer than a year or two. However, I have never been so happy to move into a rental home in my life as I was just to escape the hotel. We even resorted to having to buy those mattresses in boxes from Sam's club, because all the mattresses store were closed, just so we would have a bed to sleep on. While not top notch quality, they are still much better than the hotel mattresses. We are pretty much living in a rental without any of our personal household goods, but it's way better than being in that dreadful hotel. We picked up some stuff to get us through for weeks or months until our household goods arrive. We are definitely happier and feeling better. Plus the pets are happier too. Had the beds been comfortable in this hotel then the rest of the issues wouldn't have been much of concern or they would have at least been less frustrating. This definitely wasn't the most customer friendly hotel we've even stayed at.

Yelp
ATTENTION KAMAĀINA: ATTENTION KAMAĀINA If there was a negative star rating I would give them a negative 5 star for the way BRYCE answers the phone and spoke to me/customers! Must be because I'm not haole/a foreigner! Felt VERY DISCRIMINATING! Am I not as valuable as your haole/foreign customers? Spent almost $600 to stay 3 nights and this BRYCE comes off with an attitude when I ask a simple question like I was being a nuisance and bothering him! Braddah you local! I could tell from your pidgeon accent when you switch from your haole voice to your pidgeon accent! Why you treating locals like that???

Chris L.

Yelp
Very poor service at front desk! Reservation booked under maiden name - recently married. Would not take Government COVID vaccination card as proof of identity. Forced us to contact Expedia to annotate card. Delayed check about a half hour Total lack of empathy to the customer.

Gary R.

Yelp
Was worried about this place but most Yelp reviews were positive. Stayed here one night with our cat, house was being fumigated. First front desk staff were wonderful, very pleasant and helpful. Rooms are fine for short term, area is quiet. Rooms were clean and we were in a pet room it did smell nice. No pet smell but I could be used to it because I have a cat. Book directly with hotel and they will give kamaania rate for the parking, 15 instead of 30 per day.

Yelp
We stayed here for an extended period of time while PCSing (moving) from the mainland for military orders. During the stay we encountered various staff of the hotel that continually greeted us with kindness and attempted to make our stay more comfortable. Staying over a month in a hotel is challenging, but having kind staff like Renalyn and Ann who continued to help us at the front desk to make sure we were accommodated and taken care of. The kindness of the cleaning staff, specifically Mirna and Marilyn, kept our room clean and tidy and were kind to our dogs as well. Finding a dog friendly hotel was challenging and we were not only lucky but thankful of our stay at the Airport Honolulu Hotel.

Yelp
The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that it was clean when we got there. It's old and plain but it was clean. We were there for 6 days and 7 nights. They never came into the room once to clean. We had to request towels and the toiletries because we ran out. They were nice enough when they brought the requested things. We called down on our third full day there and asked about cleaning/replenish services and they said they do it on the fourth day. Our garbage piled up. We had to start putting it out in the hallway like everyone else started doing which I can tell you is not appealing to have to walk down hallways with trash on all sides to get to your room. I saw other cleaning people go into rooms around us, but never ours? Why???

Yelp
Really disappointed with the customer service upon arrival. We're traveling with a group of five adults and my niece and nephew whom are 7 months and 2 years old. We arrived at 9am with two grumpy children and asked the front desk if there's any way we could check in early so the kids could nap. We were told they could check us in for and extra $50 fee per room. We asked if the rooms were ready or if we'd have to wait, they said they were ready but not willing to let us in them unless we paid the extra fee. I understand the fee for adults, but it seemed a bit much for someone with two kids. And yet this isn't what was the problem. The problem was with HOW this was communicated. The woman at the front desk was extremely insensitive, snappy and smug making my mother in law and boyfriend feel incredibly talked down to. I work within hospitality and understand protocol, but I also understand that how you communicate to your guests can change the situation entirely. We decided to get an early check in for one room so the kids could nap and thought we could go to the beach or pool to kill some time before we could check in. We then asked if we could use their towels and were denied those as well. There are only three of us, so it seemed a bit unaccommodating since we'd be staying there. I would have gladly left my ID in exchange for towel use. The problems just kept rolling and simply because they were not willing to accommodate us in ANY way when we rented three of their rooms! I don't think this is a terrible hotel, i just think that the customer communication and service needs to be looked at and worked on. I understand everyone has their days, but working within hospitality you need to know how to speak to someone without sounding condescending and insensitive. Not a good way to start a Honolulu vacation. UPDATE: they FINALLY let us use towels to go to their pool after the front desk woman contacted her manager. I don't understand why borrowing a towel is an upper management issue, but it's unfortunate things had to get this far and we had to get this upset during our initial arrival. To top things off, when we walked to the pool we saw that they are just sitting out in the open for any guests to use so I find it extremely hard to see why this issue has been made out to be so much bigger than it should be.

Yelp
This is strictly from a military PCS POV and may not reflect the experience for those on vacation. We chose this hotel for our PCS move after already having a hotel booked in Kaneohe Bay based on a couple things: close proximity to my husband's place of work, convenience to all the Navy housing offices and being nearby the commissary and NEX, dogs allowed and promissary note. The original hotel we had was going to charge us $25/day for our dog, and without guarantee of housing, those costs would have added up quickly. Upon check-in, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were put on the first floor in the dog wing near the exit door that goes out to the grass area. The room was nothing to write home about, but it did its job. Bed was nice and comfy and the A/C kicked! Even though they don't offer breakfast, they have a small coffee/latte station which did the trick. It's also a 3 minute walk to Starbucks if you're looking for more. However, they do provide meal vouchers ($10/per person) and their restaurant is yummy! Portions are large and a great value. We had to pick up our dog who has a 700 series crate and asked the bellhops to come get us after we picked him up and it was not a problem. Housekeeping services were friendly and prompt, and for those with dogs, they can work to come while you are out with your dog. We ended up only staying 9 days, but they offer promissary notes for those staying 10+ days so that you don't need to pay upfront. For military members, this is huge! there are so many unforseen costs with PCSing that add up quickly, and Les and his staff are very understanding of this and gracious with their plan. They ask that you attend an hour seminar to recieve the promissory note, but they provide a pizza dinner and other helpful information about PCSing to Hawaii. Although there is not view and it sometimes feels like you're in New York living under a bridge, we will be using them for our outbound hotel stay as well. My husband and I felt comfortable knowing that we were saving money while our dog had a safe place to stay. One thing (that is not of the hotels fault) is that a majority of the military patrons were smokers. Though the hotel provides many cigarette receptacles and trash cans, there wee ALWAYS cigarette butts on the grounds or shoved into the middle of the table. If you're military and smoke, PLEASE pick up after yourselves. The maintenance crew always picked them up in the morning but as guests of the hotel, please don't be immature and rude. Other than that, I would recommend Honolulu airport hotel to anyone PCSing.

Yelp
My wife and I were desperate to find a pet friendly place and they accommodated us on a 3 day short notice. The AC worked well for such a large room. The beds weren't the nicest, and the shower wasn't the best. But we had TV channels and hot water every time we needed to bathe. We needed tools and other amenities from the maintenance crew 5 different times during our stay, and they helped us out as soon as we called, every time. We were able to use their fax machine and printer on 6 different occasions during our 10 day stay. We also were able to use their gym on a pre-scheduled basis due to COVID and get a decent workout. They also informed us that if we didn't find a place to stay after our 10 days, they could extend our stay even though it was really hard to get a room because of all of the foot traffic. All in all, not the best hotel when it comes to the finer things, but it is pet friendly and our room was quiet even with dogs in every room next to us and across from us.
