Airport Hotel Basel

After our flight was cancelled less than an hour before setting off, we had to stay in the hotel for 4 nights before the next flight. Even though we were desperate and worried, the staff gave us shelter and meals and helped us in everything. It is worth mentioning the peace and calm that Dominik gave us throughout the week. We will never forget it and we will always be grateful.

We were sent here after a flight disruption and the stay was awful. Check-in was slow, and despite being two people we got a single room. Reception staff gave us contradictory information about dinner, told us we had “no right” to it, and behaved dismissively. At the restaurant, the voucher offered no choice, no vegetarian option, and very poor-quality food. We even had to order extra from the menu just to eat properly. Staff refused to explain the voucher value, calling it a “secret,” and the hotel disclaimed all responsibility. The worst part was a receptionist telling us everything was “free,” so we should be grateful and not complain. Unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. Avoid this hotel.

I came to the hotel as a part of the Polish delegation for the Eurovision this year. When I came in, the first thought was, "OMG, this looks like Moulin Rouge without the dancers". We stayed there for two weeks. I wasn't a fan of breakfasts, BUT... what makes this hotel AMAZING are the people: Dominik, Desire (sorry if I misspelled your name), Nashir, Maria and Andre. And I want to thank you for your energy, your service and for making me feel at home. You became a part of my journey with my idol, Justyna Steczkowska and you made it even more remarkable. Dominik - you are a star and thank you for everything you've done for us! Nashir - your Bloody Mary''s are exquisite! Maria - MY LOVE <3 Desire - fashion icons need to stick together, thank you for all the compliments. And last but not least - Andre - thank you for the jokes. Also I would like to thank Jola for being a total babe! I love you all and if I ever come back to Basel I will book the hotel only if all of you are having a shift that day! Thank you so much for the incredible time and memories.

Had the opportunity to stay at this property for 2 weeks. Located right next to The French and German borders of Swiss, very close to the Euro Airport, Basel and has a Casino in it. The rooms are big enough with all amenities. The Hospitality we received was amazing, be it the front desk, the restaurant or housekeeping, they were always helped and supportive. The buffet breakfast spread is lavish. They provided us with a Basel pass which can be used in Bus and Tram within Basel, this helped us in exploring the city in public transportation without spending on it. Thanks to the team again, all the best.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the treatment my partner and I received during our stay at Basel Airport Hotel, Room 814, from 16/08/2025 to 17/08/2025. We were referred to your establishment due to flight disruption, exhausted and stressed, and instead of support we experienced a series of unacceptable incidents.||||The check-in process was unnecessarily lengthy, and despite being two passengers, we were allocated a single room. When we asked about dinner, the receptionist, Dominik, told us the restaurant was closed, while his colleague Marija confirmed it was open until 1 AM. He then stated we had no entitlement to dinner, later changed his story to say the food had run out, and only reluctantly agreed to “arrange something.” When I requested to see the manager, he dismissed me, first pretending to be the manager himself and then saying his shift was over.||||At the restaurant, the voucher provided allowed no choice of dishes, and the food offered was of poor quality. We were forced to purchase an additional meal. Most offensive was Dominik’s remark that everything was “free” for us, that we should be grateful, and that we had no right to complain.||||Such behaviour was unprofessional and disrespectful. I request a full investigation, an explanation, and appropriate redress for the distress and additional expenses caused.

A solid 10. Location: just 4 stops, 8 minute free bus ride from the airport (with booking confirmation) Room was large, with sofa, coffee machine, complimentary dressing gowns and slippers, bath tub and separate shower. All very comfortable and clean. Staff were excellent. Shout out to Antonio in reception who organised a free shuttle to our river cruise docking point in the morning. Breakfast had something for everyone. Fruits, cereals, many different breads, cheeses, eggs done various ways, bacon (crisp and perfect), ham/cold meats, yoghurts, preserves and fresh cakes. All good. Staff again very friendly and helpful. Only regret is we weren't there long enough to try the facilities.

We chose this hotel for a two night stay because of it's proximity to the airport. |Staff were helpful from check in onwards.|Executive room was great and had a safe, kettle,coffee machine,robes and slippers. |Food was great and breakfast buffet had a wide choice.|Evening meals in the bar were tasty and staff were happy to help with adjusting the menu to taste.|Special mention must go to Nashir the bar manager who was so welcoming and a real character. He is definitely a real asset to the team.|We are planning to visit Basel next year and plan to stay at the hotel again.

Impressive!! I was very surprised after staying at this hotel. Very nice clean and comfortable rooms, Amazing bar and breakfast, but most of all the staff and front desk service was over the top impressive. They provided me with information on how to navigate the city to see the Christmas market and even printed me a bus pass. Extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great hotel, gives free bus and tram pass and the bus is a few steps from hotel entrance. Everything is close by with the public transportation. Decent breakfast spread in the morning if you include it in your room price but $25 if you don't. Not sure the $25 was worth it. There are many cafes around that we enjoyed. The rooms are clean with shower and bathtub. The staff is friendly and helpful. The casino is attached to hotel which can be fun. Overall a great stay.

The Airport Hotel in Basel is by far one of the best Airport hotels. We do need to take in consideration that everything in Switzerland is just little bit more luxurious than in other places in the world but nevertheless, I always really enjoy my time here, and I'll tell you why: 1. For one, it has easy access to the city and to the airport. Busses drive frequently and you get a free ticket at the hotel lobby. 2. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The beds are huge and have two seperate covers for lovers who never seem to agree who gets the blanke at night. 3. Behind the bed, you can choose the color of the lights. Feeling cheeky? Red it is! 4. The shower has the most water pressure I've ever had in my entire life. 5. The views. The views. The views. If you're lucky you get the 'good side' of the hotel and you get to wake up to the most amazing view. This makes me feel like the luckiest woman alive when waking up. 5. Feeling lucky with the views? You get a 5 CHF ticket to spend in the casino downstears. O yes, I said CASINO. You'll never get bored here because it is open 'till 5am. And next door there's a little dance club as well. 6. Breakfast is served with the most amazing latte machiato and you'll never leave this buffet without being stuffed. Different sorts of cheese, english beakfast all the way, swiss butter, hazelnutt pasta (from switzerland where else?), nougat pasta, fresh orange juice, and much much more. (O, did I mention that Basel has one of the most amazing Christmass markets in Europe with awesome bratwursts?)

We stayed at this hotel for one week and were delighted with the food and the staff, especially the bar manager Raphael D'Anna who seemed to be working all hours in all areas. He always had a smile and made us feel welcome and comfortable. When we asked for another chair in our room - there he was again bringing us a chair. I only wish I knew how to connect with his supervisor to convey what a gem he is. Also the front desk staff, Antonio etc., were helpful, kind, and patient. They made our stay there so much more comfortable. Kudos!

Absolutely wonderful staff, everyone accommodated my family and I, and was extremely polite as well as funny. Ensuring that we were comfortable and happy, we wanted to extend our trip, and stay longer! We did only stay for two nights but it was in fact a great stay! The breakfast selection was a good assortment. When we didn't want breakfast, they were more than happy to provide us with a cup of coffee. We Would definitely stay again!

I stayed here on a recent business trip and was pleasantly surprised to find a hotel that was more than the average "airport hotel". It is attached to a casino and is very lively. Sort of like a Swiss version of a W hotel. The lobby was more or less one big bar / lounge that got very busy after about 6pm. The rooms were spacious, modern and well appointed. The hotel has a restaurant as well, where we ate dinner and breakfast. The food was very good. The service was very good as well. The staff were very friendly in all areas of the hotel. The only downside of this hotel is for people that want to be in the city center. This hotel is on the outskirts of town, so you would need to take a bus or taxi to get to more restaurants, bars and cultural attractions.

This hotel is nice for an airport located hotel. It's a little far from Basel center, but not too far on the bus. A plus, the hotel provides a bus pass for your stay so you can get around without incurring extra cost. My hotel room was large, spacious, and clean. The design was very trendy in terms of aesthetics. There is a casino attached to the hotel and I went in to take a look. I'm not much of a gambler and I personally don't like going to Las Vegas. This casino was really just a big room with slot machines and a bar. It's nothing special and if you've been to Vegas, you can definitely skip it. There's free shuttle to the airport. It only takes 5 mins to get there. Overall, I can see myself staying there again. Basel isn't the most interesting of places in Switzerland but it is the hub of value airline EasyJet.

Rooms were clean, modern and well-maintained. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located close to public transportation. We would have given 5 stars, except we were charged an extra fee for early check-in even though our rooms were ready. Seems like a rip-off since no one had to work around us.

I was in Basel for the first time earlier this month. i liked this hotel. It was a convenient location (few minutes from the airport) but in Basel - just about everything is about 10-12 minutes away. I was on the 9th floor. Got a good view of the city. Room was well lit and trendy. The lobby doubles up as a bar and the decor is bright red. They offer shuttles to the airport and most offices. They were even kind enough to drop me off at my client when I did not reserve. Wifi was good in the lobby and on the 9th floor. Some downsides are lack of a space in the shower to keep your toiletries and no toiletry kit offered by the hotel.Room service is offered via 4 restaurants - Japanese, Indian, Italian and Thai. The casino next door is a nice getaway if you are here on a Sunday when the entire city is closed.

I love this hotel! Fooled by the name, I assumed this was going to be a drab experience, but I fell in love with this place the minute I walked into its colorful, spacious lobby. Things only got better when the man at the check-in desk asked me my name and, as a follow-up question, inquired as to what kind of drink / cocktail I wanted! Klar, hier sitzt man ja gut! The casino, for which I was given some free vouchers, is itself a wonderful part of the experience of staying here. Another is the huge main dining room. It's a real restaurant, complete with a v-e-r-y extensive menu. The restaurant actually contains a choice and very "tasteful" (no pun intended!) library of books in several languages: while waiting for dinner one night, I picked up and read through a bound facsimile copy of a volume of the Encyclopédie with some of Diderot's unforgettable original entries. Their generous breakfasts, served in a different room of the hotel, are feasts of many options. I stayed here about a week in a room which was spacious and well-appointed, and I almost cried when I had to leave: the bed was the most comfortable and plush one I have ever slept in. In addition to the casino vouchers, the room also came with a travel pass and some discount options. I was truly spoiled here, and though it is a rather expensive place, the only reason I left when I did was because I had appointments in another city. I have never stayed in a place which so well blended comfort with so much fun! Expect to be spoiled even by the vending machines --stocked with Moet Chandon champagne! I look forward to my next stay at this oasis. There are other more traditionally luxurious and elegant hotels, but not one which better blends comfort, fun, wonderful staff, and valuable perks, than this one.

Very friendly staff. I stay here often. The hotel has more vibe than the Basel average hotel. A little out if the way but a good bus connection.
