What an excellent hotel if you want or need to stay near the Airport in Basel. Perfectly accessible to the main business locations. Fantastic rooms, services and of course staff. Overall, Nashir and Dominick. Always friendly and welcoming!!! Fantastic experience, 5 stars! P.S.: You can also be lucky and win a Jackpot ;)

A very convenient hotel close to Basel airport. The hotel is ideal without a car. The airport bus link between the city and the airport stops at the hotel so great for getting to both city and the airport. In addition there is a shuttle service which can be booked. |The hotel has unusual decor but the rooms are spacious, well equipped and soundproofed. Breakfast is extensive in the main dining room which is large with a pleasant atmosphere. Staff are pleasant and helpful.|A relaxing place to spend the night before a flight.

We found the service at this hotel was excellent. British Airways cancelled our flight at the last minute and we stayed here whilst we waiting for our next available flight. The staff could not have been more helpful, mitigating a stressful situation for 4 pensioners! We must give a special mention to Yolande who looked after us and could not have been more professional, helpful and friendly which was much appreciated and reflected very well on the hotel as a whole.

Couldn’t fault this hotel for the price and location. It’s just off the route we were taking but very quiet, you couldn’t hear any road noise. We were a bit sceptical on arrival as the check in desk looks like it’s part of the bar and it was a Friday night so quite busy. However, once checked in, the rooms are basic but have everything you need and it was clean and cosy. The restaurant was nice for dinner but we didn’t stay for breakfast, so can’t comment on that. The parking is great, underground and secure. We’d stay again.

Not only was this a lovely hotel with great rooms, my main reason for the review is to praise and congratulate your hotel on your reception staff. We stayed from the 16-18 August due to an Easyjet flight cancellation, and we had suffered a family bereavement only a couple of days earlier. Maram a lady receptionist dealt with us beautifully and with such kindness when she was aware of this, and I wanted to personally thank her for that

Had the opportunity to stay at this property for 2 weeks. Located right next to The French and German borders of Swiss, very close to the Euro Airport, Basel and has a Casino in it. The rooms are big enough with all amenities. The Hospitality we received was amazing, be it the front desk, the restaurant or housekeeping, they were always helped and supportive. The buffet breakfast spread is lavish. They provided us with a Basel pass which can be used in Bus and Tram within Basel, this helped us in exploring the city in public transportation without spending on it. Thanks to the team again, all the best.

Please don’t expect room services in most of the European restaurants. Decent breakfast options. Dont expect live counter to have egg omelette. Easy access to Grand Casino

After our flight was cancelled less than an hour before setting off, we had to stay in the hotel for 4 nights before the next flight. Even though we were desperate and worried, the staff gave us shelter and meals and helped us in everything. It is worth mentioning the peace and calm that Dominik gave us throughout the week. We will never forget it and we will always be grateful.

Impressive!! I was very surprised after staying at this hotel. Very nice clean and comfortable rooms, Amazing bar and breakfast, but most of all the staff and front desk service was over the top impressive. They provided me with information on how to navigate the city to see the Christmas market and even printed me a bus pass. Extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great hotel, gives free bus and tram pass and the bus is a few steps from hotel entrance. Everything is close by with the public transportation. Decent breakfast spread in the morning if you include it in your room price but $25 if you don't. Not sure the $25 was worth it. There are many cafes around that we enjoyed. The rooms are clean with shower and bathtub. The staff is friendly and helpful. The casino is attached to hotel which can be fun. Overall a great stay.

The Airport Hotel in Basel is by far one of the best Airport hotels. We do need to take in consideration that everything in Switzerland is just little bit more luxurious than in other places in the world but nevertheless, I always really enjoy my time here, and I'll tell you why: 1. For one, it has easy access to the city and to the airport. Busses drive frequently and you get a free ticket at the hotel lobby. 2. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The beds are huge and have two seperate covers for lovers who never seem to agree who gets the blanke at night. 3. Behind the bed, you can choose the color of the lights. Feeling cheeky? Red it is! 4. The shower has the most water pressure I've ever had in my entire life. 5. The views. The views. The views. If you're lucky you get the 'good side' of the hotel and you get to wake up to the most amazing view. This makes me feel like the luckiest woman alive when waking up. 5. Feeling lucky with the views? You get a 5 CHF ticket to spend in the casino downstears. O yes, I said CASINO. You'll never get bored here because it is open 'till 5am. And next door there's a little dance club as well. 6. Breakfast is served with the most amazing latte machiato and you'll never leave this buffet without being stuffed. Different sorts of cheese, english beakfast all the way, swiss butter, hazelnutt pasta (from switzerland where else?), nougat pasta, fresh orange juice, and much much more. (O, did I mention that Basel has one of the most amazing Christmass markets in Europe with awesome bratwursts?)

We stayed at this hotel for one week and were delighted with the food and the staff, especially the bar manager Raphael D'Anna who seemed to be working all hours in all areas. He always had a smile and made us feel welcome and comfortable. When we asked for another chair in our room - there he was again bringing us a chair. I only wish I knew how to connect with his supervisor to convey what a gem he is. Also the front desk staff, Antonio etc., were helpful, kind, and patient. They made our stay there so much more comfortable. Kudos!

I stayed here on a recent business trip and was pleasantly surprised to find a hotel that was more than the average "airport hotel". It is attached to a casino and is very lively. Sort of like a Swiss version of a W hotel. The lobby was more or less one big bar / lounge that got very busy after about 6pm. The rooms were spacious, modern and well appointed. The hotel has a restaurant as well, where we ate dinner and breakfast. The food was very good. The service was very good as well. The staff were very friendly in all areas of the hotel. The only downside of this hotel is for people that want to be in the city center. This hotel is on the outskirts of town, so you would need to take a bus or taxi to get to more restaurants, bars and cultural attractions.

This hotel is nice for an airport located hotel. It's a little far from Basel center, but not too far on the bus. A plus, the hotel provides a bus pass for your stay so you can get around without incurring extra cost. My hotel room was large, spacious, and clean. The design was very trendy in terms of aesthetics. There is a casino attached to the hotel and I went in to take a look. I'm not much of a gambler and I personally don't like going to Las Vegas. This casino was really just a big room with slot machines and a bar. It's nothing special and if you've been to Vegas, you can definitely skip it. There's free shuttle to the airport. It only takes 5 mins to get there. Overall, I can see myself staying there again. Basel isn't the most interesting of places in Switzerland but it is the hub of value airline EasyJet.

Absolutely wonderful staff, everyone accommodated my family and I, and was extremely polite as well as funny. Ensuring that we were comfortable and happy, we wanted to extend our trip, and stay longer! We did only stay for two nights but it was in fact a great stay! The breakfast selection was a good assortment. When we didn't want breakfast, they were more than happy to provide us with a cup of coffee. We Would definitely stay again!

Rooms were clean, modern and well-maintained. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located close to public transportation. We would have given 5 stars, except we were charged an extra fee for early check-in even though our rooms were ready. Seems like a rip-off since no one had to work around us.

I was in Basel for the first time earlier this month. i liked this hotel. It was a convenient location (few minutes from the airport) but in Basel - just about everything is about 10-12 minutes away. I was on the 9th floor. Got a good view of the city. Room was well lit and trendy. The lobby doubles up as a bar and the decor is bright red. They offer shuttles to the airport and most offices. They were even kind enough to drop me off at my client when I did not reserve. Wifi was good in the lobby and on the 9th floor. Some downsides are lack of a space in the shower to keep your toiletries and no toiletry kit offered by the hotel.Room service is offered via 4 restaurants - Japanese, Indian, Italian and Thai. The casino next door is a nice getaway if you are here on a Sunday when the entire city is closed.

I love this hotel! Fooled by the name, I assumed this was going to be a drab experience, but I fell in love with this place the minute I walked into its colorful, spacious lobby. Things only got better when the man at the check-in desk asked me my name and, as a follow-up question, inquired as to what kind of drink / cocktail I wanted! Klar, hier sitzt man ja gut! The casino, for which I was given some free vouchers, is itself a wonderful part of the experience of staying here. Another is the huge main dining room. It's a real restaurant, complete with a v-e-r-y extensive menu. The restaurant actually contains a choice and very "tasteful" (no pun intended!) library of books in several languages: while waiting for dinner one night, I picked up and read through a bound facsimile copy of a volume of the Encyclopédie with some of Diderot's unforgettable original entries. Their generous breakfasts, served in a different room of the hotel, are feasts of many options. I stayed here about a week in a room which was spacious and well-appointed, and I almost cried when I had to leave: the bed was the most comfortable and plush one I have ever slept in. In addition to the casino vouchers, the room also came with a travel pass and some discount options. I was truly spoiled here, and though it is a rather expensive place, the only reason I left when I did was because I had appointments in another city. I have never stayed in a place which so well blended comfort with so much fun! Expect to be spoiled even by the vending machines --stocked with Moet Chandon champagne! I look forward to my next stay at this oasis. There are other more traditionally luxurious and elegant hotels, but not one which better blends comfort, fun, wonderful staff, and valuable perks, than this one.

Very friendly staff. I stay here often. The hotel has more vibe than the Basel average hotel. A little out if the way but a good bus connection.
