Airport Inn

Warm and cozy bed and breakfast place, conveniently located just minutes away from Piarco International airport and major transportation routes. Rooms are cozy and spacious, and beds are firm and comfortable. Place is very clean and the pool area is awesome! The pool area is set up to enjoy relaxation with an outdoor seating area. Breakfast is included and the overall property is very secure with a gated entrance. The owners are warm and welcoming and we truly felt at home. This is perfect for staycations or in transit visitors.

After requesting a partial refund for cancellation a week in advance, it was not granted. We then requested using the room for a few hours between flights. Although the answer was ‘yes,’ neither phone number works, and there was no one at the property to receive us.

The owner lives there called me to question about my honest and professional opinion and review on Expedia. I did not go into details because I did not want to destroy her business but she is very unprofessional. There are witness protection individuals staying and living for months at the inn. They were very nice and respectful but it is not safe to rent to them and allow the general public to be in the same premises. The door lock to enter the premises does not work. There is no pool chairs or umbrellas to sit on as shown in pictures. It is a small inn, not a lot of space or privacy. There is no 24 hour front desk if you need water or toilet paper you are out of luck because the phone number listed and given go by owner upon arrival does not work. This is not a personal attack it is a complaint for future guess. I was charged 320 US for an extra person who left and I never received the refund. The owner kept telling us to turn of the air conditioning and lights. The air condition remote did not work well the back was lost or missing. The television did not work. Property owner son had to fix the television on the third day of my five day stay. Bathroom smells because there is no window or proper ventilation. I travel everywhere all over the world and this is unacceptable.

The owner very unfriendly the place is nice but you have no privacy she has 2 people staying there that are in witness protection and interacting with her guests. You not allowed to use the stove. You have to order fast food all the time. When you have place like this you want your guests to feel comfortable an you want them to come back an you want them to recommend it to others.

Room was small with an extremely large cabinet that was taking up most of the room. Poor furniture selection for such a small space, making it extremely cramped. Fridge didn’t work, outlets inaccessible and unable to close window in bathroom making it hard to control room temperature as well as outdoor noise. The other power supply in the room also didn’t work properly and was making lots of clicking noises so we abandoned that. Had an early pickup which we informed the manager of and when our driver came to pick us up he was nowhere to be found, thus we couldn’t let our driver in to bring us to the airport. Wouldn’t repeat this place.

My husband and I had a last minute overnight stay in Trinidad after a flight delay. Frantically, we started searching for a nearby hotel to crash for the night when upon speaking to an airport employee, we were referred to Airport Inn. We called Sita (the owner) after midnight and she was gracious enough to come and pick us up and take us back to her place, even at this late hour. Her home is beautiful with many personal touches. The room we were given was very basic, but super comfortable and the whole place is SPOTLESS. After having a good night's sleep, we woke up to a yummy breakfast of eggs, fresh fruit, juice, toast, and pastries. (Included in the price of the room.) The backyard is newly renovated with a nice sized pool and gorgeous lounging areas. The front of the home also has a lovely front porch sitting area. Sita made us feel right at home and even allowed us to stow our luggage while we explored Trinidad for a few hours since we had until midnight until our flight home. She also allowed us to relax in her home while we waited to go to the airport the same evening, and drove us there herself. Great hospitality for a short yet wonderful stay! Will definitely go again. Very clean. Friendly host/owner. Ride to airport a plus. Stayed because we didn't make standby flight, a bad situation turned out great. Love the back yard, the pool. Need transportation for getting to amenities but a short walk got us food & snacks for the night stay. I would actually book here for a get away w/my sisters. Felt safe.

Due to several delays with our flight, we missed the connecting flight to Guyana. Luckily our agents booked us into Airport Inn. We arrived around midnight to be greeted by the very friendly owner who quickly sorted our room and organised when we would like breakfast the following morning. The room was clean and comfortable. We woke earlier than expected so sat in a very pleasant garden for an hour or so, there is also a nice swimming pool. Breakfast was very good, there is a very relaxed atmosphere to the place. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly and drove us to the airport herself.
