Airport Isla San Cristobal

A small and very functional airport. Checking your bags in might have a line, so come a bit early. Security is really fast. If you have priority pass, they have a free magma Lounge, which is nice. The auditorium to wait is massive and airy. They have a small shop for tea and snacks. You walk to the plane, which the kids like.

It's a small, but efficient airport. There's a little place to buy food and drink, both inside and outside security for departures. On arrival, there is little, but an empty hall to greet you. Taxis arrive when the flights do and it costs $2.50 to get to the town from there, or it's about a twenty minute walk.

*check in times for national flights do not start until 1 hr before boarding, so don't bother coming earlier (LATAM Airlines). *WiFi is PAID, so have eSIM ready if you plan on contacting anyone when you arrive at this airport or checking emails for documentation. *There are no water fountains Latam staff are really polite and nice, they speak English very well. The fact that you can walk into town from the airport is a huge bonus, though the cab ride in is only $1-2.

The San Cristobal airport is pretty much a big, air hangar that they modified into an airport. It’s clean enough and has bathrooms on either side of the security check point, but there ain’t much there other than that. There’s a few shops on the public-facing side for your last minute Galápagos souvenirs. The ticket line moved fairly quickly and we went during a busy time. The security checkpoint flowed smoothly and quickly. All things considered, a good experience flying out of this airport.

A small airport, housed in a single hangar, offers a smooth and efficient arrival process. As a tourist, you’ll need to present your passport and the form provided by your airline during the flight to San Cristobal. Additionally, you must present your Transit Control Card (TCT), which you should have received before check-in at Guayaquil or Quito airport. You’ll be then required to pay the Galápagos National Park entrance fee of $200 (as of November 2024). Following this, your baggage will be inspected to ensure compliance with regulations prohibiting the import of animal or plant products that could introduce diseases or invasive species. This includes items such as fruits, vegetables, and other restricted goods. Once the inspection is complete, you can collect your luggage and proceed to your destination.

Small airport, jusy one big hall and two gates. Check-in an security check were fast. Walking distance to/from the town. There is an ATM. Toilets could be cleaner. No free WiFi. It is not possible to refill water after security, but you can buy one for overpriced aitport price.

A very convenient airport just blocks away from the town centre. It's clean, bright and airy, though not terribly well organized; incomprehensible system of checks when leaving. However compared with arriving or departing from Baltra airport, it's a breeze.
