Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort

Everything was wonderful! The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, always greeting us with genuine smiles that made us feel truly welcomed. The hotel environment is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding and recharging. The lagoon is unbelievably beautiful — its colors shift with the sunlight, and you could watch it all day without ever getting tired of the view. There are different activities every day, from fish feeding to fire dance shows, all full of the island’s unique charm. Overall, it was an amazing experience — the kind of place you fall in love with the moment you arrive. A special thanks to the hotel manager. Our original room had just been newly renovated before our arrival, which we truly appreciated. However, due to my sensitivity to paint smells, I felt quite uncomfortable. The manager promptly arranged a room change and kindly upgraded us to ensure my comfort. We are sincerely grateful for this thoughtful and timely help. We would also like to thank Luke in the restaurant for making our stay even more special. His warm smile, patience, and attention to detail made us feel truly welcomed. Thanks to their wonderful service, our holiday became a truly memorable experience.

We loved every minute of our stay at Aitutaki Lagoon Resort! From the very minute when we stepped inside the resort, to the moment when, sadly, we had to leave that paradise. The staff is charming, always courteous and smiling, ready to anticipate any needs we might have. I even got sick one day, and Ronnie (from the reception) stopped my wife at the reception and provided her with really useful insights and grandma's remedies. The food at the restaurant was very good, and the island night was a nice experience to add to our Thursday evening. We spent three nights in an amaizing beachfront bungalow on Aitutaki Lagoon: it was heavenly. The last night, though, we moved in an overwater bungalow: that's when our experience became a living dream. Sleeping with the sound of the lagoon rocking you asleep, waking up to the turquoise and blu colours of the sea, enjoying a private corner of paradise... we couldn't have asked for more to celebrate our honeymoon. We stayed at Aitutaki Private Lagoon in late November 2025 to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary, and it was truly unforgettable. The property is stunning—bright, colourful, and filled with a relaxing island vibe. So quiet and peaceful, felt like we had the island to ourselves. The view from our Premium Room was a total “wow” factor: turquoise-teal water stretching out toward tiny islands on the horizon, like something straight out of a movie. Our room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We also loved having complimentary use of the kayaks and SUPs—such a bonus. What really makes this place exceptional is the incredible team: Pati, Roneel, Mere, Luke, Terri, Jerry, Nocy, Kosi, Kula, Mana (boatman with serious skills!) and many others. They remembered our names, greeted us warmly every time we passed by, shared local knowledge, had a good laugh with us, and genuinely made us feel like family. Our Wedding Anniversary was made extra special with heartfelt congratulations, a bottle of wine, a card, a beautifully set dinner table, and a special dessert. It was truly memorable. This place is magical. We highly recommend staying here—see for yourself just how wonderful it is. We can’t wait to return.

Amazing time at the resort. The staff - Nocy, Luke, Jerry, Mere, Pali, Mariana, and the rest of the team truly made our holiday unforgettable. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow and enjoyed the location with swimming, snorkeling and kayaking. We also enjoyed taking the bikes out and circled the island one day. The food was tasty and the cocktails were strong. We can’t wait to come back!!!

We stayed 2 nights in one of the overwater bungalows and honestly it wasn’t enough. It’s expensive, but it’s also one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen in my life. We stayed in rainy season, and even then - the island just feels like paradise.|| The staff are wonderful - it feels as though everyone knows you by name. Especially big thank you to Pati, who made our arrival feel so special, and Mere who was like human sunshine to say hello to everyday. ||Food and drinks were fab - I’m vegetarian and the hotel had great options for me (not always common!). There’s endless amenities to enjoy - paddle boards, bikes, kayaks, board games, pool, darts.. all included in the price, which was lovely. Every day felt super special and I will remember this for a really long time. ||If you want to indulge in a blissful, quiet paradise, this is your place. I seldom visit the same place twice but I’ll be hugely tempted to return to this beautiful island!

Aitutaki Private Lagoon Resort was beyond anything my new husband and I could’ve imagined. The perfect place to kick off our honeymoon. The staff were amazing (Luke, Nocy, Ron, Teri, Mere) as they made every interaction feel personal and made sure we were WELL taken care of. The food was absolutely outstanding and cocktails by the pool is a must. The cultural night was beautiful to experience and a bonus to have that included in our stay. Our over water bungalow was absolutely breathtaking, we have NEVER seen clearer or more blue water. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this experience 🩵

We just returned from an 8 night stay here and absolutely loved everything about our stay. The resort is well maintained, with lovely gardens and surrounded by the most beautiful scenery, it really is paradise. Our beachfront bungalow was perfectly comfortable, private and contained everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the use of our own bicycles, kayak and stand up paddle board. Every meal was delicious, with a good range to choose from at breakfast, including fruit, yoghurt, pastries, pancakes, hot food and an egg station. The staff are phenomenal! So friendly, warm and genuine with many greeting us by name during our whole stay. I can’t recommend this resort enough. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with unforgettable views, good food and personal service, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back!
